For being the main male character, Tazhr is certainly it what I’d call likeable, sexy maybe but definitely not likeable. Slowly, but surely, his attitude starts to change as he realizes the effect Emma has on him. Now Emma, she’s delightful. She may be an indentured servant, but she’s passionate about her beliefs and just wants to help Tazhr. She’s like the female version of Sherlock Holmes, ever observant and picking up small clues to explain things, or question them. This is a wonderful tale of learning about love and how to appreciate their mate, while navigating the ever present dangers that follow them.
