*Now a complete series*
The stars of my university’s hockey team always have each other’s backs. Like family. Now, they have mine, too.

My sister’s death nearly broke me, and the monster who hurt her nearly killed me when I got too close to the truth. But I’m alive… thanks to the ones I used to call my enemies.

Vince, Ash, Tate, and Micah.

Things are heating up quickly, and the closer we get to the fire, the more we get burned. But it’s tough to stay vigilant when we’re not even sure who the true enemy is.

They certainly know who we are, though, and they’re not shy about exposing our secrets. The fact that they know things we planned to take to our graves is unsettling. To the point that it has us paranoid, constantly watching our backs.

Our world is all chaos and pain right now, but we find solace in each other. The only thing we know for sure is that no matter what comes at us, we’re strong enough to face it.

Together.

Ugh what an absolute letdown of a final book. I was hoping that after that sophomore slump of a second book this would finish with a bang. Nope. Stevie was still annoying. Seriously, how? How did she get 4 men to fall in love with her? She had zero personality. The guys were boring as hell in this book too. And what a let down of a who done it. The counselor? Wow, how original. As soon as he was introduced I was like well there’s the guy. I’m not going to lie I thought it was going to end up being Stevie’s bio dad or someone in that storyline because he was just thrown in there and was this perfect guy? Idk he was kind of sus. I loved the first book- but the follow ups were not worth it.

This is a reverse harem trilogy and as nice the plot was in it and as satisfying the end was with the buildup throughout the book, it'd be wrong to call this a reverse harem because it felt like she was dating her step brother and had 4 different boyfriends.

Three books and not one group scene. That's such a shame because it'd be SO hot to read a group scene with these characters I know it would have hit but it's such a shame there was NONE.

Maybe a threesome which got me riled up for a group scene but nah.

This is a college bully RH trilogy, with a murder mystery plot. I wrote a longer review for book 1, Break the Girl, so, this one will be shorter.

Overall, I enjoyed this trilogy, and this was a mostly satisfying ending to it. I didn’t love it, and won’t think about it much after finishing it. It’s a solid “middle of the road” RH: it didn’t blow me away, but it also didn’t annoy me too much, like a lot of that genre does (like the Rich Demons of Darkwood series by CR Jane, or the WITSEC series by Ashley Rostek).

The characters were decent – Stevie isn't one of my favorite RH heroines, like Lavinia in Dukes of Ruin, or Jolie in Storm the Gates But, she’s also not too annoying, the way heroines in this genre can sometimes be. She’s average. She had a few irritating moments – like when the villain told her to face him alone, and she actually listened to him. Come on! But in general, she was fine.

She did kinda have "betraying body syndrome" around the guys (that thing where a heroine is mad at the heroes, but falls into bed with them BEFORE working through their issues). Usually, that bugs me a lot. For some reason, in this trilogy, it worked for me. I think because unlike in other RHs that have that (like the Madison Kate series by Tate James), in this story, the guys weren't keeping secrets from her while that was happening. But, if you're someone who can't tolerate that at all, then this trilogy will get on your nerves.

I do have some nitpicks: the RH group should have been 3 guys, not 4. I didn’t dislike Tate, but he felt like an irrelevant last-minute addition to the group, and he continued feeling like he was just kind of “there,” through the end. In general, Stevie’s relationship with the guys could have had more depth. I like the guys, and I liked that this story had a real plot. But when the murder mystery came into the forefront in the last 2 books, it felt like the “relationship development” part of the story got lost in the woods, a little.

The main unsatisfying thing about this ending is that I disliked how Stevie was WAY too forgiving of her mom, and her former best friend. I didn’t like how the ending implied they were one big happy family, and everything is fine! Stevie really should have made her mom work harder to make up for all the bullshit dad stuff, and she should have permanently cut her former best friend out of her life.

My review of the first book still stands: I wouldn’t say this trilogy is amazing, or a must read. I do think it's a solid college bully RH, and it hits the spot if you’re in the mood for that. It's not the best in that genre, but it's also not the worst. It's "middle of the road." I'd say the same thing about this author: her stories are usually not amazing and not my favorites, but they're solidly entertaining. I'll continue to read what she puts out.

Sadly this series just got more and more boring. It could have been one book with the amount of nothing that happens. The majority of all three books was the FMC needing to be consoled, and Micah going rogue and making everyone walk on eggshells around him. Plus we had three whole books in a why choose romance and not one group scene. Even the bonus chapter that I had to sign up for their email list to get wasn't worth it (a fade to black scene that still ends on the same HFN the book ends on).

This series was fun in the first book, tolerable in the second book, and then just kept going and going like the third LOTR movie.

And these characters, man. They're all tstl. Despite having been attacked while alone in another book, the FMC still decides that when she has to talk to someone to get more clues to solve her sister's mystery, she needs to do it completely and totally alone. She won't even let them drive her places and wait for her outside, which makes no sense when you know you're being stalked, and murder has just been put on the table for your future. And then she goes to confront someone who she thinks is not only a rapist, but also a serial killer atp and the stalker, and she's just like, let me go alone and enter his house. Dumbass.

And don't get me started on the one MMC who has zero control of his emotions. Everything that happens he has to go confront his arch nemesis, regardless of whether or not he has proof that it's him, but all he does is threaten him and then attack him/his home every single time, making everything worse for them. Can someone please collect this manchild?

And let's talk about the cam boy (which, yes, thank you for that character arc, because that was awesome) who says her name while live with her on camera. Why did they even bother covering their identifying marks? And she also said his the last time they were live in another book. And they're shocked when someone finds out it's them. Y'all are dumb.

They're all at best immature. When the step siblings' secret is revealed to their parents that they're seeing each other, the two of them spend three days hiding away in his apartment instead of facing their parents and telling them the truth. And even after all of them have professed their love, she can't bring herself to tell her mom she's with all of them, so she just tells her "it's complicated, but our lines of communication are open." Girl please, this is 80% of the way into the final book. Istg I can't with this.

The villains were obvious each time they came up, and I can't believe she forgave the one that she did. Smdh I would not be forgiving someone who used my sister like that. Her entire past few months have been lived to get closure after losing her sister, and she's gonna forgive the person who strung her along, got her pregnant, and still didn't actually want her? Although considering how easily she forgave her guys for their actions in the first book, I knew she'd be a pushover.

Also ended on an HFN, with her STILL telling everyone her relationship with her guys is "complicated" and them still hiding their relationship when around their families, even on the last page. All of that drama spread out across three books and they don't get an HEA? Wish I knew that before starting bc I might not have read it at all.

Anyway, the one (1) good thing about this book was that her guys treated her very well. Even during the bullying part of the first book, before they knew the truth and had to grovel, they were good to her. They were sweet and devoted and touchy feely and vocal in all the right ways, and their relationship was very cute.

Sick Wicked Love? More like just SICK. 🤬 Get ready for a long rant because I'm MAD. 😡 Let's get started.

1️⃣ How can you introduce the villain last minute after three fking books and expect us to go "OMG I DIDN'T SEE THIS COMING! WHAT A TWIST!" Of course we didn't see it fucking coming because he didn't exist until 5 minutes ago! 🤯 The second book was literally NOTHING and all of a sudden, in this third book, they're firing new suspects left, right and center. I literally don't care anymore because I don't know ANY of these people. 🤦🏻‍♀️ They're just briefly introduced, touched on and then promptly left alone. ⁉️If they had all been properly explored from the 2nd book, it would have been easier to be invested.

When the real villain was finally revealed, I couldn't give a rat's ass! Because it's someone who was introduced literally a few pages ago! 🤬 This is the friggin Pretty Little Liars ending that everyone hated. Heads up authors! If you don't plant the villain early on enough, how do you expect your audience to care enough to feel the emotional impact and betrayal? 🤷🏻‍♀️

2️⃣ And tell me why the FMC is so fking stupid to investigate every lead, confront every potential attacker alone? 🤯 Girlie pop, you have FOUR fking boyfriends! Get one of them to come with you!!!! Also, for four "overprotective" guys, they're sure comfortable letting her gallivant around town chasing potential r*pists and killers alone. 😑 The boys asked in the end why she went to meet the killer alone and she's like " It was the only way." HOW WAS IT THE ONLY WAY??? Yeah okay, going to get yourself and someone else killed was the only way to save everyone. Gotcha, that makes sense. 😜

3️⃣ Maddox was made into useless fodder. 🙄 It would have more realistic and enjoyable if he were the culprit. But no, he was a seed planted and used to occupy some useless pages. He's the FMC's supposed best friend and literally contributed absolutely nothing to the plot. 🫠

Also, The FMC forgiving and making up with Maddox at the end left a really really bad taste in my mouth. He literally admitted that whilst he was sleeping with her underaged sister, he was thinking of the FMC the whole time. 🤮 Even after her sister died, he still only had intentions of pursuing the FMC. 🤢 Disgusting. Criminal behavior. I literally hate him more than the actual villain. Again, because it's impossible to care for a character who was introduced in the last leg of the book. 🙄

4️⃣ For all the claims that she loved her sister, the FMC sure didn't show it. 🫤 Not once throughout this series did she reminisce on her memories with her sister, not a single flashback, not a single memory. 🥲 How do you expect us to care about a character who was killed off before the series even started if you don't insert bits and pieces of her in the books? 🤨 The series has ended and I can't even tell if the FMC and her sister was close or not while they were alive. No idea of the sister had a good relationship with their parents. No idea what kind of person she was. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO CARE??? Please actually SHOW us the bond they had instead of constantly just telling us! 🤦🏻‍♀️

🌶️ Hot take: this sounds harsh and I'm sorry but just stick to writing smut, dark romance and romance. Don't write mysteries or thrillers. 🙅🏻‍♀️ You guys don't know how to do it because this was so poorly done. 😓 I will give it to you, the romance aspects was actually great. The smut was beautiful. So stick with that! 💗 Unfortunately this series was centered around a mystery/thriller plot which just lost me completely. 🙃 The 1 star I'm giving is for the romance and smut. Otherwise, it'd be zero stars.

Sick Wicked Love is the third book in the Savage Kings of Bradwyn U series, and I really didn't expect it to wrap up like that.

The actions of the characters are repetitive in this one. The plot itself is good, but the wrap up was such a let-down. I really don't want to spoil anything to anyone who might enjoy this series more than I did, but I will say that the big revile was really not what I expected. There is such a build up with the discoveries and everything that happens, that the ending made it a bit meh.

Overall, I like the characters and the story was interesting. If you are looking for an easy read with taboo topics, spice, hockey and mystery, then you should give this series a change.

Ngl I saw the plot twist coming but it was nice to have the mystery solved. I liked this book. I would’ve given it a higher rating if the epilogue would’ve been more about Stevie and her guys but it was cute. I loved Dusty. Nice read. I would recommend this series. Toodles!

All tied up with a pretty little bow.

I have decided, as a middle 30s married mom, I need a harem of men to come in and take charge. ASAP.

I'm sure no one would notice.

If Vince and ash... And tate... Hell... And Micah could be in this harem... That'd be perfect!
Thanks!

This was a good finish!

I liked all the developments with the romantic leads and how they all said I love you in their own way and time. I do wish the stalker was someone else idk it just felt anticlimactic. Also Stevie forgiving her best friend. Hell no!

The thing is, I expected a tiny bit more. It felt rushed, we could see every "plot twist", discovery or whatever the hell we can call it, from a thousand miles away, it was just fucking predictable all the time, and then everything was just a okay, her not explaining to her family she had multiple boyfriends was not cool, and by the 70% mark, I just wanted it to be over, cause there was no more new info to be acquired, it was crystal clear the who, the why and the how.

Book two and three of this series should honestly have never existed. Book one is so fun and outlandish and the remaining two are soooooooo mid. This one, specifically, is actually just bad.

💔 this is not a Why Choose at all. Just a girl with four (fairly unimpressive) boyfriends

💔 all the MCs make stupid decision after stupid decision, no thought or planning goes into anything and they are just dumb as rocks. I.e. Stevie and Tate getting their sex tape leaked and continuing to fuck around in public. Also, Stevie and Vince being anon on his OF but he says her real name on camera? Make it make sense. They’re all idiots

💔 the relationship building is non existent in this book so I didn’t care about any of their love declarations

💔 some scenes, specifically Ash and Stevie in the blizzard, are so insanely inaccurate it’s offensive the author thinks we’re this stupid. My guy, no one is laying in the snow during a blizzard in JEANS feeling romantic about it. They’re getting hypothermia

💔 the fact this is marketed as a hockey romance is literally just trying to capitalise off of the genres current popularity cause hockey is in no way central to the plot of this book or the characterisations. You could remove the hockey and it would make literally zero difference

💔 the villain reveal was so insanely easy to guess. He’s presented on a literal silver platter that is so convenient it’s stupid and yet no one even thinks twice about it? Please

💔 every single sex scene has ZERO foreplay and Stevie comes in 4 seconds every time lmaooooo it’s like the author has never had sex before and it’s giving 14yo wattpad fanfic

The final conclusion to Savage Kings of Bradwyn U series Sick Wicked Love by authors Rachel Jonas and Nikki Thorne had you jumping back into the story with picking right up from the cliffhanger Cold As Ice left us hanging on.

Sick Wicked Love may have been the finale to Stevie and Ash, Micah, Vince and Tate’s story.
But that didn’t mean authors Rachel and Nikki were going to make it easy when it came to finally revealing all and granting us the answers we had been searching for over the course of the series within Break The Girl and Cold As Ice.
They definitely made you work for it, taking you on the final conclusion of this adventurous rollercoaster ride that was the narrative to Stevie and Ash, Micah, Vince and Tate’s story.

From the many ups and downs, loops and hurdles, it was no surprise it led to further drama, new conflict alongside the old too, and even more secrets from more mysteries coming out of the woodwork from all that was alluded too. Building the suspense level even further and higher.
Ultimately ensuring us to be gripped on tight, whilst slowly yet surely moving further along our seats until we were on the edge in anticipation, when the showdown came to fruition, finally receiving the answers to all the major questions that have been plaguing us since the beginning in what was a real page turner to the point it had me devouring this book within half a day. Free falling into the abyss that was the conclusion to Stevie and Ash, Micah, Vince and Tate’s story.

Despite Sick Wicked Love focusing majorly on the storyline development, authors Rachel and Nikki did still shine the spotlight on the relationship development.
Seeing Stevie and her relationship with Ash, Micah, Vince and Tate evolve with flourishing from further growth, becoming deeper and stronger than ever.
And even with the little hiccups that came along the way, this found family unit they became showcased the strong connection they had built leading to a tight bond they formed with being able to overcome the obstacles that was thrown their way in the final leg of their journey.
Can't forget about the feels they brought to the table throughout from the emotions that came pouring out. Even more so when it came to sharing some passionate steamy moments.
They all sure knew how to stoke the fire from the heat they packed with getting down and dirty and making it spicy AF.

With the clues dropped in Sick Wicked Love, it did have me predicting who the stalker could be. So when Rachel and Nikki pulled back the curtains for the big reveal, it was no surprise to me when my predication ended up being correct.

Even though in the end everything was revealed from all that had transpired over the course of the series.
Honestly for me personally it felt a little insufficient, not only from the lack of in-depth detail Rachel and Nikki had me expecting. But also it seemed like there were still some questions left unanswered, at least for me.
Plus there was the case of how it did feel somewhat anticlimactic IMO, not only because of the who, but also because it had me expecting a little more from it all.
Ultimately leaving me feeling a little disappointed and unsatisfied by the climax results.

It needs to be said, even though Stevie is FMC and this is mainly considered her story being told. Not gonna lie, it did have me wishing to see more from the guys perspective, considering they seemed to be reduced to more of secondary characters with not seeing much from their POVs in comparison to the previous books from the series where they were showcased more.

They say all good things must come to an end, but knowing that Sick Wicked Love was Savage Kings of Bradwyn U series with saying goodbye to Stevie, Ash, Micah, Vince and Tate definitely felt bittersweet.
The way this series had ahold of me, it wasn’t surprising that Rachel Jonas and Nikki Thorne had me wanting more. Especially from my fav Ash, who will be dearly missed by me.
And yet knowing that Sick Wicked Love ended on a high with a well deserved HEA makes closing the chapter on this series worth it.

Sick Wicked Love is the third and final book in the Savage Kings of Bradwyn U trilogy by Rachel Jonas and Nikki Thorne, picking up where the second cliffhanger left off as Stevie continues to search for the truth behind her sister’s attack and death. The more she digs, the more chaos seems to be unleashed. Danger is lurking, eyes are everywhere, the guys are trying to keep her safe, but tempers flare, secrets are revealed, and the twists keeps coming!! I couldn’t put this book down as the drama and angst kept building and building! It was a blast to watch it all unfold, even though it was an emotional journey even for me! I loved watching the relationships evolve that Stevie has formed with each of the guys. The spicy chemistry was still there with each of them, although I was surprised that there wasn’t a group scene this time.🥵😏 I love all of them for different reasons, but Vince is still my favorite. There are a few things I would have liked to have seen regarding how the unconventional relationship would play out in the world. Overall, this was a great conclusion to a unique trilogy that I’m so glad I read!! Don’t miss these books for a riveting ride of suspense, drama, and so much spice!! Be sure to read them in order, and check out the TW/CWs because the content runs on the dark and sensitive side.

I received an ARC for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily.

WOMP, WOMP 🥱

My big pet peeve with most of these series is the drag out, this could have been a duet. The series had such a good start but between book 2 & 3 it just fell off, got repetitive & boring. The ending was such a letdown, Stevie is still annoying as ever & Micah was so unhinged it was borderline annoying, normally I love an unhinged morally grey dude but Micah was giving Man-child 😒

I immediately take off stars in a RH if there are no group scenes, like what a missed opportunity. The same goes for if it feels like I’m reading a book with multiple separate relationships that aren’t cohesive with each other 🤷🏻‍♀️ it wasn’t giving RH vibes at all & how did she still not tell her mother that she was with all of them? She’s not a child, the secret is out let’s move on 😤

As for the ending, the counselor being the big reveal SNOOZE 😴 it totally would have been better had it been someone closer to her like Dustybun 😂

Well, I can’t say that I found this last book riveting. There were some good elements, but for the most part, it was kind of…. meh.

The whole mystery thing became convoluted and drawn out, and the culprit was immediately obvious (you honestly can’t miss it). Maybe that was intentional, and if so, well done.

But all of it…. Just seemed a bit cyclical. Something bad happens, they react, they have sex, something bad happens, they react…. etc etc. There doesn’t seem to be a bridge in this song. If that makes any sense.

Also, if any of these people had a major at this college, I sure as heck don’t know what they were. If anyone’s major was mentioned, I clearly zoned. And several unanswered questions about many things, but kind of pointless to wonder about the answers now.

Still, there’s a HEA, and an epilogue. I didn’t hate the series, but I didn’t love it, either.

Stevie’s birth control is working overtime.

I can’t place why I devoured this trilogy in 3 days. Could be bc it’s got the drama of a mid 2000s abc family show paired with good smut and a mystery. There were some cringy parts and repetitive phrasing (looking at you “reckless abandon”). I think Stevie would’ve been fine with just Vince and Ash. I was definitely shocked how her mom and Rob handled finding out about her relationship with Tate, did not expect that. It was a bit annoying that it took til the epilogue for Micah to learn his lessons that I started rooting against him lol.

Book 1 was reverse harem, book 2 was why choose, and book 3 was more romantic thriller.

what a great way to end the series!! rachel & nikki killed this and i’m so happy with the way everything concluded!

we’ve been through this big journey with stevie & the boys; getting to see how their relationships evolved was so much fun (and stressful at times). they all grew so much, as individuals & as a family throughout the series

my girl stevie has been THROUGH it & deserved to know the truth about mel and who was messing with them and i’m glad she got that!!

thank you wordsmith publicity for the arc!!

Absolute perfection

I absolutely love Stevie, and I have from the beginning. She had one goal, and that was to get answers about her sister, no matter what. And boy, does she. This series will definitely suck you in and not let you go. I love how each of the characters grows as the story unfolds. So many truths come out, and not all of them are pretty....but damn if they don't make sense.
This is the perfect ending to this world.

*** EDITED REVIEW - 5 TIMES ***

Nope. Nah... I'm not accepting that this series is over. Nope. Never. Okay, I teared up a bit when I finished this book because... I'm not ready to let these characters go. I mean, I knew it was coming to an end but knew how close I was getting with every page turn and I really wanted to make it last longer.

Hell, there were points in this book when I had to walk away and literally squeal because of the love. Gah... The Savage boys really do know how to keep you on your toes. I wish that this book was longer. Like 500 plus pages long.

I need to know what happens after the end. How are they going to handle things when they leave the Frat House. Do they all move in together. Marriage. Babies. And no group scene??? Whyyyy. So not going to get over that. But god I love this book so damn much. So I'm going to start at the very beginning again and say hello to those boys again.

Stevie's boys... are my boys. Best damn read of 2025. This entire series. I challenge every other series that exists to compete with this one along side one other but best and most amazing series that I have ever read. Ever. Thank you to the author for creating such amazing and loveable characters and story that I will never ever forget and is going to live rent free in my head. 10 stars.

**********************************************

My second review of this in a matter of days. This book just gets better and better every single time. I'm still gutted that this series is over because I think that there could so be another book after this. So I'm definitely going to be rereading this series again and then in time get to the rest of this author's books because I have found myself a brand new favorite author ever.

Oh and Rachel Jonas.... if you ever read these.... Another Savage Kings book pretty please :)

**********************************************

I'm just going to say this now. Rachel Jonas.... Nikki Thorne. CAN WE PLEASE HAVE A BOOK FOUR FOR THIS SERIES. PLEASE. PRETTY PLEASE :)

Book 4 please? :)

The second and third book were so boring. The school counselor being the killer felt underdeveloped and like a cop out considering we dont meet him until the third book. There was no time for any emotional attachment so it didnt feel like a betrayal. There are so many reflections, like the beginning of the wedding chapter, that felt so unnecessary for such a short book. Like why is she thinking so much and why is it all cliche “we live and we learn” thoughts?

Now for the sex. This being a why choose series and there is only one group sex scene this whole series is so underwhelming. The end of the first book set this up so nicely but the next two books are just coupled scenes. And the fact that there is a very obvious rotation. Like i shouldnt be able to know which guy she’s gonna fuck next bc she hasnt fucked him in a while. Although justice for Ash bc he kinda trails off in the third book. I honestly hate Christmas epilogues and the bonus content shouldve just been the epilogue.

Overall this couldve been a duality, the forced cliffhangers are so unnecessary. It felt like the author was trying to make up for things she missed in the second book but fell flat. All the excitement in the first book disappears. I shouldnt be 70% done with a book and be like “wait this is almost over? Nothing even happened.”

I’m honestly so disappointed at how much this series declined after the first book.

Firstly how is this a why choose with 4 men involved, and only one group scene with 2 men?? 🥲

The whole plot with the sister being raped and offing herself? Don’t worry it was just her insane therapist that was her stalker 💀 but it’s all good because Stevie the college student killed him???? No. No way in hell she managed to do that, I mean surely?

Also Micah, this man needs anger management because he is crazy, but like not in a good way 😅

Stevie legit never goes to classes, doesn’t mention any other friends. Fuck the body positivity group that you went to twice 🫠

Just felt so meh, I only read it because I wanted to finish the series

This book was a huge letdown. Stevie annoyed me this entire book. I felt her personality reflected selfishness, the entire book was me, me, me. The guys in the book were like background noise. I was hoping for love scenes with all 5 but that didn’t happen either. I soon as the villain was introduced I pretty much knew it was him. The story felt rushed and dragged out at the same time, hard to explain, but maybe this should have been a duet instead of a trilogy. The connection I felt between all 5 MC was pretty nonexistent in this book and I just wanted to finish up and get this book over with.

This series was incredible! Dark, sexy, and so much mystery that left me on the edge of my seat. It really made me start feeling suspicious of every person, not knowing who was really safe and who wasn’t. Stevie felt betrayed by so many people in her life, some for more serious reasons than others. But at the end of the day, she has her boys, and she has her family (both biological and found family). I just wish we got more at the end of her explaining her relationship with the boys to her mom and Dusty. I just want to know how that all goes down!
