This is book 2 of the Brutal Boys of the Mafie series and picks up right where book 1 left off.
If you have not read Mafie Kings, then you need to read that first!
➪I absolutely recommend this book!! It was such a great read. I've talked about it non-stop to all my friends & they're excited to read the book that has had me on an emotional roller-coaster!
➪I won't give away any spoilers, but one of my fave scenes was the Christmas exchange! Team pineapple 🍍 🍕
➪The mental health rep in this book is heart-wrenchingly real. It shows us the nitty gritty solutions, the struggles, and how each person needs different healing avenues. There are multiple characters working on their mental health. These characters have survived so much trauma!
➪That leads me to the character/world building !! Every single one of these characters feels so REAL! You will absolutely FALL IN LOVE with each one of them! I love that we see more in-depth views into the surrounding characters & I'm hoping we will get their full stories later in the series (I need more Havoc, Arrow, Nessa & Doc, please !!)
➪The spice in this book is next level !

T. R. Oldin wrote about things I’ve NEVER read in other books before, but it wasn't just the spice, it was the legit connections between the characters that make it so amazing.
The explanation about some of the BDSM practices and how it can have healing effects on PTSD and trauma... I love that & and think it is so important. T.R. explains limits and safe spaces, subdrops, etc. It was eye-opening.

What a ride. T.R. Oldin really leveled up with this one. She took Mafie Kings and thought hmmm…let me raise them some blazing hot spice, crazy action, humor, banter, and character growth to give them Mafie Trials.
The mental health representation in this book is immaculate. It shows solutions, struggles, resilience, unorthodox healing methods. Multiple characters working on their mental health while not making it seem like it was too much was executed flawlessly.
There was excellent explanation behind some BDSM practices and how it can have different effects other than just straight up kinky pleasure, and I think that is so important. It explains limits and safe spaces. Perfection. She did so freaking well on the scenes.
Some of these scenes and the relationship building solidified my love for these characters.
And the action…well it’s just crazy. When the plot starts plotting, you’re like ohmahgawsh. I was a bit stunned at the twist.
We are introduced to more couples and side characters that have already embedded themselves into my heart, and I can’t wait to see she takes them in the future.
I absolutely recommend this book. It was such a crazy, emotional, scorching hot ride.

This is book 2 in the Brutal Boys of the Mafie Series and it takes off where Mafie Kings ended. Just like book 1, I enjoyed this book and the characters. We get a bunch of POVs in this one, lots of smut scenes and groups scenes I had been dying for. This one does end in another cliffhanger and the story will be continued in the next book.

Lev is still my favorite out of the bunch. I absolutely adore him. He is everything and more. I feel like we got to see the softer side of Damien and Alexi as well.

I really enjoyed seeing them all interact together with Evie and loved how well they all went together. I devoured the smut scenes and the first one comes very fast, I think like 5% in.

The ending OMG I can’t I want to scream, cry, and punch something

I’m at a bit of a loss for words right now because that ending has me all kinds of fucked up. Seriously, it’s been almost a full day since I finished reading it and I’m still reeling.
We pick up right where the first book ends off with Evie recovering from the attack. Then the truth starts to come out about her past and all of the lies that she’s been told since her parents died. And let’s just say that it’s enough to turn a normal person’s world upside down. That’s not what happens Evie though. Oh no, because our girl is a badass bitch, it just makes her determined to take her uncle down.
My heart aches through so much of this book, for all of the characters, but especially for Evie. Seriously though, she’s been through a lot in her life and has never really had the support system she needed to be able to heal from it. But that has changed since she met the guys, because let’s face it I don’t think there is anyone else that have gotten her to try therapy. Especially after what her past therapists did to her, thanks to her uncle. T.R. did an amazing job with the mental health rep in this book. She shows the struggles that people go through and that not every solution works for every person, along with the fact that it’s not a one and done thing. Healing takes time, and sometimes some unorthodox methods.
We get so much character growth in this book and I loved it! We also get to know some of the side characters even better as well as being introduced to some new characters that I just know I’m going to absolutely love and I can’t wait to see more from.
Along with the character growth we also get some amazing relationship growth between Evie and her guys. Seriously, I love these characters together and the entire relationship dynamic between all of them is enviable. The absolute love between all of them makes my heart all gooey. Each of the guys is important to Evie for different reasons and they all bring something to the relationship that Evie needs. These Mafie boys may be alphaholes and they would absolutely burn down the world for Evie, BUT we get to see their soft side in this book. The way they take care of Evie shows their total and utter devotion to her and it never fails to make my heart all mushy.
Now I’m sure you want to know about the spice, and let me just say that it’s *chef’s kiss* amazing! Seriously! There were so many scenes in this book that had me hot and bothered and I was here for it! And can we talk about the BDSM rep in this book as well? I love how it showed that it’s not just about kinky pleasure, it can also be extremely therapeutic, and the way that it was all explained was just perfect.
This book so was such an amazing read I couldn’t put it down. But ma’am we need to have a talk about that ending. While I had an idea that a lot of shit was going to pop off during the last 10% and I had an idea of how it was going to end, I was only partially right. Because what went down in that last chapter? I’m not okay with that! I have some theories about what’s going on, and I really hope that I’m right. Because I DEMAND that you fix this T.R.! 🤨

Oh. My. God. OMG! OH MY GOD!!! I’m speechless!!! It’s 2am now, I have work tomorrow morning and I’m here with my jaw on the floor after this ending! I’ll have to come back and review this later, I CANT PROCESS EVERYTHING AND REVIEW IT RIGHT NOW, ITS SO GOOD!!!

Mafie Trials continues where Mafie Kings stopped, with everything happening and with everyone trying to find a way to free Evie once and for all from all that was holding her back. After Mafie Kings, Evie found out a lot about her past that she never thought possible, things that changed forever the trajectory of her life and who she was, things that happened to her that were not random but sent by someone who was a wolf in sheep's clothing. In in this book, along with her new family, she will try her best to finally find a way to get the freedom and future she deserves.
Mafie Trials was amazing, the way everyone found their place in this incredible found family, and their power and strength were something to be reckoned with.
I absolutely loved every single second of this book and I devoured it every chance I got. Evie and her men are amazing and I'm seriously obsessed with this whole series. One of the best revenge dark why-choose romances I've read in a while, I really recommend it. I can't wait to see what the rest of the series brings, I'm binging the whole thing and I'm so happy I waited for all the books to be out before starting lol!

This book was beyond amazing!!
The mental health representation in this book is top notch, you can tell how much research Tay has done into this. Some of it may be unorthodox but it's REAL and you really FEEL it!
Talking of feelings ... omg I had ALL THE FEELS!! I have fell in love with the side characters just as much as the main characters ... Hellooo Daddy Havoc and Zaddy Boris 😅 I can't wait to see more of ALL the characters. There isn't 1 character I don't like (Except for the obvious if you've read book 1)
Evie .... what one hell of Boss Woman!! She has been through soo much trauma and has still come out swinging with everything she has even at rock bottom!!
My heart is absolutely breaking for her 😭😭
This story is an amazing found family story. They all have each other and help each other in their own separate ways .... where one person can't help there's always someone else who knows how.
Now the smut ... Wow ... just ... Wow I also think I have found some new k*nks 😅 It's absolutely 🔥🔥 This book is full of hotness!

In this second book of the Brutal Boys of the Mafie, we find relationships starting to grow.
Evie with her three men (Alexi, Damien, and Lev), along with Laney, Nessa, Boris, Arrow, and Havoc. They find themselves learning to patch up the fractured parts of themselves with each other. I love the bonds that were created.
I loved how subspace came into this book, explanations of BDSM and safe words. Listening to the boundaries that were set, taking mental health seriously and the comforting way it just all came together.
I don’t want to give too much away, but we end on another cliffhanger, and once again my jaw is still on the floor. I need everyone to be okay and make it through. I also need book 3 and to see how these relationships play out 😘

What a book with an unexpected cliffhanger! The book starts from where the first book Mafie Kings ended and that one also had a major cliffhanger. This book though had a cliffhanger on another level than the first one. I was scared to finish the book and even sent Taylor a text that I didn't want to because I knew she was going to give me a major one.😂
Anyhow, Evie has suffered so much in her life since she was eleven years old and continued to suffer from his uncle's hands (whom I hate). This truth comes out in the second book. My heart ached for the girl who went through so many things and even though she is a badass bitch who doesn't take shit from anyone. She had a strong personality which I loved.
Her relationship with the guys was so hot. All three love her with every cell in their body and would do anything for her. But they also had their demons to kill. Their relationship was so much more. It had so much love between them which made me fall in love with all of them( Evie can't know about this though 😂).
I really can't wait to read what happens next. Thank you for the ARC @author.t.r.oldin🫶.

Holy 👏🏼 SHIT.
This book was everything I needed after book 1.
The plot is extremely captivating and will constantly keep you guessing where things are going. I loved that there was so much growth for each of the characters in this book (and not just the main 4). You could genuinely feel the emotions pouring off the pages as if you were experiencing the plot with them, and to me, that just takes a book higher.
Poor fucking Evie though. I swear to God she needs to go f*ck a horseshoe or something because this poor girl is getting hit from all sides 😭 I love that she knows she's tough, we know she is, and everyone else does too, but that she's coming around to the idea that you can be hella tough, but still have people close to you to rely on. That hit close to home for me, and I love watching it play out!
The spice 🥵🥵🥵 whatever you think you're ready for, I'm telling you, you're not. Just sit back and enjoy the ride 😈
I cant say enough about the progression of the plot, character growth, and spice. But honestly I almost threw my kindle across the room at the ending. 😂

Evie and her men take things to unimaginably spicy heights-we’re talking GHOST pepper hot! You’ll be highlighting entire CHAPTERS of phenomenal dark spice. T treats BDSM topics with such care especially for beginners into that world.
Never fear there’s also plenty of soft and romantic moments, too! And we get side character pairings which have me drooling!
The pacing on this book was gorgeous. There was never a slow point in the book and T gives us so many emotional developments. I truly love the trauma healing sub plot for Evie. This girl deserves some peace from her past.
Nessa was my favorite development of the side characters. I resonate with her so much and it feels like we will be getting more of her and see where her story ends up.
Prepare for a ZA worthy cliffhanger. Cause this book will wreck you for like three whole days!

I’m not even going to lie after that ending my mind is still reeling a bit! I naturally instantly refuted the possibility so I’m currently blissfully in a state of denial but also, there is always that slight possibility that the author might just want to wreck my whole life. The moral of this statement is I’m stressed and I need things to be rectified ASAP 😂
Aside, from that chaos I absolutely loved and devoured this book! The relationship between Evie and her guys!!! Ugh, I swooon! Even when they are being painfully dumb, I still love them! The guys that is because Evie is an absolute bada** goddess who can do no wrong! She has been to the demon world and back and truly just needs genuine love and support! Okay, in this regard the guys truly did step up!
The individual and relationship growth that develops in this story is genuinely heartwarming. It was making me feel all types of sappy and my cold black heart couldn’t take it!
Thankfully, it is evened out with crazy plot twists and some deliciously mouthwatering spice! In regards to that spice comment, all I will say is have your partner or maybe some toys ready! Some of these scenes are going to put you in a very good mood! 😏🥵🤤🧎♀️
This book is the second in the series and I highly recommend reading it in order! I thought I loved the first book, but the author truly knocked this one out of the park! All I can think is damn, this next book is going to be insane, but in the best way!

I couldn’t put it down! It’s not always easy to follow a book with 5+ POVs but T.R. Oldin accomplished that in such a beautiful way while still keeping my attention. Every character is so different, it’s easy to keep track of who is who. I’m still processing the cliffhanger, so you’ve been warned. I cannot wait for the next book and I’m hoping for some novellas or 0.5 stories for some of my favorite side characters too.

Where to begin. I don’t even have words. This series has me in a chokehold. This is book 2 in the Brutal Boys series book 1 is Mafie Kings go read it if you haven’t already. I don’t want to give away any spoilers even if you have read book one because you just have to experience the roller coaster of emotions for yourself.
This book did NOT disappoint. This story continues where book 1 left off. Evie is in the hospital recovering after the attack. She begins to learn the truth of what has happened, the lies she’s been told her whole life and the betrayal that has occurred!
As the truth unravels your heart will ACHE for all Evie has been through. Evie is strong, fierce, bold, and such a bad ass. The mental health rep and coping of trauma in this book is incredible. The internal struggle with wanting to get better but also not wanting to talk to a therapist is so relatable and incredible. The characters all working on their mental health healing and coping in their own ways was beautiful. The love, betrayal, hurt, heartbreak and heartache and beautifully written.
The relationship development between all of the characters, the spice, the dynamics of the relationships are incredibly written and developed.
I absolutely love the way you get POV’s from all characters including side characters that let me tell you you will absolutely FALL IN LOVE with.
The spice in this book is next level. T. R. wrote things I’ve NEVER read before and that made me go absolutely FERAL. The way the BDSM is written is perfection.
I can’t recommend this series and this book enough. T.R. You absolutely nailed this and I cannot wait for book 3 and for all that is to come.

This series is EVERYTHING!!! Mafie kings was AMAZING but Mafie Trials gave me everything I needed and more!! This book touched my heart the way no other book has!! It brought all the emotions 🥺🥺 I don’t cry while reading and Mafie Trials actually made me cry/ tear up on multiple occasions! The SPICE!!! Good god the Spice!! It was so perfect! Things I have never read before! And they were soo AMAZINGLY Written! You can tell T. R. Oldin actually took her time to research things so she can depict them accurately! I just can’t get ENOUGH! That Cliffhanger KILLED me 😭😭 Idk how I’m doing to wait for book 3! Definitely pick up this book you will not be disappointed!

It picks up right where book 1 left off so I would definitely recommend a reread of that if it’s been a while. I am so excited for book 3 to come out.

Talk about a roller coaster of emotions, all the feels throughout the entire book! The spice! 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶 I love that we get more POVs from additional characters. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series! ALEXI 🖤 LEV🖤 DAMIEN🖤
I really appreciate how all the trauma and mental health representation was portrayed. It was really stressed that everyone, no matter who you are or where you come from, deals with emotions differently.
I loved that we got different aspects of everyone’s personalities in book 2. With the new POVs we really get to see things from all sides. Banter and humor from all sides. The character growth was great to see as well.
I also liked how some aspects of BDSM can be used for more than just kinky, sexy time. You really have to find what works for you.
100% recommend this book and the series.

Book two took me on a rollercoaster of emotions. Between the suspense of the unknown with a target on Evie and her men’s back there is a lot of character building, new romances blossoming and some of the hottest spiciest spice I’ve ever read. Alexi, Damien and Lev worship Evie like no other and when she lets them love her it’s so freaking sweet. I swooned sooo many times.
Towards the end, I was on the edge of my seat and deep into the suspense that was going on as they plan destruction for the villain who’s caused nothing, but trauma in Evie and her new found family’s life. However, when the destruction started and the cliffhanger happened I wanted to scream and throw my kindle. Which that just means T.R. Oldin did her job well, making me feel so much from her book. I loved it!
I can’t wait for book three. I need it like yesterday.

Mafie Trials is the second book in the Brutal Boys of the Mafie series. Evie is ready to take down her tormenter and Alexi, Damien and Lev have got her back. Not only does Evie have the love and support of the Kings, she also has an extensive found family that want to help her every step of the way.
There are so many things that I loved about this book and this series. First, the Kings love for Evie is so pure and deep! Each man has their own special relationship with her individually but also together as a group they have a truly incredible bond.
Second, we cannot forget the spice which is next level sexy and all portrayals of kinks were not only hot and steamy but also so well researched.
Third, speaking of research, another favourite of mine is how well represented and accurately portrayed mental health issues are throughout this story. It was incredible how the author presented the consequences of trauma, as well as a range of other issues that several of the characters must cope with. Evie is still a bad ass even with the issues she deals with. She represents what truth strength really is.
Finally, I'm obsessed with the multi POV of this book. I have never read a book that incorporated as many side character POV's as this one did. I absolutely loved getting to see each individual perspective, personal journeys, and love connections.
Be warned, this book ends in a cliff hanger but the final book is going to be worth the wait!

We get lots of answers in this book, especially regarding Evie’s past. The abuse, lies, and manipulation she has endured is utterly heartbreaking. But Evie is one strong, resilient, and admirable woman.
There is a huge emphasis on mental health, character growth and relationship building in this book. I already loved Evie and her men, but this book just made me love them even more. We also get more insight into some of the side characters. There are 9 pov’s in this book! At first I thought that many pov’s were going to be confusing and chaotic. But I was so wrong! Seeing things from all the different angles and getting into their heads really helped bring this story together. Also, the banter and humor amongst this group is absolutely hilarious! I am invested and have grown attached to all 9 of these characters now! I am desperate for everyone to get their happy ending!
Of course, the spicy scenes in this book are not lacking and will for sure leave you panting! But they are also more than just some kinky sex scenes. The explanations, education, consent and communication bring such a deeper meaning to the experience.
Now that ending….. I’m not ok 😭 I was warned and I still wasn’t prepared!! I’m going to need book 3 asap!

Of course, the spicy scenes in this book are not lacking and will for sure leave you panting! But they are also more than just some kinky sex scenes. The explanations, education, consent and communication bring such a deeper meaning to the experience.
Now that ending….. I’m not ok 😭 I was warned and I still wasn’t prepared!! I’m going to need book 3 asap!

I KNEW IT! ugh. <- my reaction after that ending. Anyways. Definitely, you will develop trust issues with this book, but then it is a cut-throat mafia school. It is every person for themselves. Trust no one. We definitely get more character development in the book. We get to see a more vulnerable Damien towards E. We did back in Book One but with Lev.
The boys are finally all out for E, and Alexi will slowly come around in the book. One thing that is never lacking in this book is spice. It overflows. I think overflowing is an understatement. Almost every kink in the book can be found here and strong on the DADDY, BDSM, Primal, and more. I am not kidding again there's a lot of SPICE. Like a LOT.
Damien and Lev are honestly my favorite and are the scenes I look forward to most reading in the book cause they have this deep connection between them, and it's so cute. I really love this line in the book:
She is fire and fight. War and retribution. A weapon and a gift. She. Is. Everything.
There were multiple POVs in the book aside from the main characters; you get the side characters, too. I get overwhelmed with many multiple POVs, so I honestly couldn't keep track of who the other side characters are except the main ones and the big baddies. Kudos to the author for building this all up, writing this all together, and remembering everything.
So if you like enemies to lovers, bad ass fmc, goes undercover into a mafia school go to book one! Cause this series is all about Revenge.
