One of my mates is dead. The rest of them have been taken hostage. And me? I’m just a crazy demon-goddess on a warpath. Zeus has gone too far this time. There are some things I can forgive, but this isn’t one of them. My only option is to recruit an army of monsters to destroy the god who’s supposed to rule over us all. In order to do that, I have to make two trips. First, I must visit the monster council—who all hate vampires—and beg for their help in the battle to come. Second, I’ll need to travel to hell to free the Fomorians, an enslaved species of monsters who have been locked away for thousands of years by my biological father. I’ll save my mates, kill a god, and reclaim the crown that was always supposed to be mine. What could possibly go wrong? Zeus, I’m coming for you. And by the time I’m done castrating your micropenis, you’ll understand why this particular monster craves blood.
Blood is the fifth and final book of the Prodigium Academy series. This book contains strong language, sexual situations, violence, and a bunch of sexy, monstrous boyfriends the FMC doesn’t have to choose between. This series does contain MM, MFM, and MMF elements.
Ya’ll, I went through a plethora of emotions in this book. First I was sad, then laughing, then shocked, then 🥵, then laughing again, then sad again, then laughing and laughing and laughing, and then sad and sobbing again, then happy. Ugh but so many more emotions if I’m being honest. I’m so sad this series has come to an end. I don’t think I’ve ever loved a series this much and had one that made me laugh THIS much. I really hope she’ll make more stories in this world. I love Katie May’s writing. She is now an insta-read author since this is the third series by her that I’ve absolutely loved. Ugh, I don’t think I can say goodbye to Violet, Frankie, Vin, Mason, Jack, Hux, Dimitri, Cal, Barrett, Alex, and so many more. I will forever remember this world, all of the characters, all of the laughs I had, and tears😭😭.
This book had me sobbing over Mason, Balor, and Dimitri’s love declaration so much. Like no joke, I was sobbing so much, I had snot dripping out of my nose, my throat closing up, ugh, it hurt so much. And then with Balor😭😭, like come on. I was done. Out of it. It was so sad and sweet. And then laughing like crazy over Violet, Hux’s outburst over his precious treasure using phrases Mason taught him 😭🤣, over Dracula and Lucifer, and in the epilogue with their happy little family😭. And we finally got to see Dimitri and Alex join the harem, and their delicious spicy times🥵. And we learned that Dimitri is a cuddler 👀, and we got to see Alex being vulnerable 🥺. I just wish we saw more of him and Violet together. And then that scene with Dracula, Lucifer and Hera👀👀..? Gosh, I loved this book so freaking much. And those epilogues were perfection. Chef’s kiss. I’m going to miss Violet’s crazy talk and clumsiness. Frankie’s scientific observations and sweet love declarations. Vin’s fierce protectiveness over Violet, how he treated her like a queen. Mason’s sunshine and humor. Jack’s sweet disposition, but the spiciness in bed. Hux’s unrelenting loyalty and love. Dimitri’s lethalness in every aspect. Cal’s lack of humbleness. Barret’s sweet innocent persona. And Alex’s bickering with Violet.
Favorite quotes/scenes:
“What in the ever-loving fuck are you doing?” (Alex) “Ummm . . . asking about an orgy to find the super-secret monster council?” (Violet) “I was being sarcastic.” (Alex) “Oh. You asshole! Are you telling me I just asked a random woman about an orgy when I didn’t even need to?!” (Violet)
“She’s my enemy. I tormented her. She tormented me. We’re fire and gasoline, and so long as we’re near each other, the world will eternally burn. But fuck, do I want to be consumed by her flames and bask in her heat.” (Alex)
“She’s temptation in the cruelest of forms—an angelic entity that somehow found herself trapped on Earth, haunting this plane for all of eternity.” (Mason)
“What the fuck am I even seeing?” (Vin asks) “I can’t look away.” (Jack) “Are you going to take my cock like a good little slut? God, you’re such a sexy chair. I could just lick you all over.” (Guard doused with Cal's lust power) “My god. I never thought I would witness a chair getting molested. It’s . . . quite fascinating, if I’m being completely honest. Just how does he expect to receive pleasure from it?” (Frankie) “That’s what you’re worried about?” (Balor)
“You know I love and respect you more than any other person on this planet, right?” (Barret) “Yes?” (Violet) “Good. Because I’m about to fuck you like I don’t.” (Barret🥵🥵)
“I was having a nightmare. “ (Violet) “You were screaming, ‘Barret, oh Barret, fuck me harder, Barret. I love your huge dick inside my pussy!’” (Alex) “Maybe you heard me wrong. Maybe I said . . . ‘Tarot, oh Tarot, show me my future, Tarot. I love your huge mick because you’re a wussy.’” (Violet🤣🤣)
“But I swear to all of the gods and goddesses that, if you don’t help me get to my precious treasure, I will fuck you so hard.” (Hux) “Don’t you mean fuck you up?” (Cal) “No. I believe the saying is fuck you so hard. And if you’re really mad, you say ‘fuck you so hard until you’re screaming my name.’” (Hux) “Who told you that?” (Vin) “Mason.” (Hux🥲)
“I’m desperate to set eyes upon the woman who claimed my heart, body, and soul. All it took was one chocolate bar.” (Hux)
“If I’m ever going to have permanent markings on my skin, then it’ll be Violet’s name on the bottom of my back, directly above my ass crack.” (Hux) “A tramp stamp?” (Jack asks) “It’s a declaration of love to have your lover’s name there. Mason told me.” (Hux) Of course, he did. (Jack)
“I’m the sun and he’s the moon, and we’re constantly chasing each other through the heavens. But there’s a brief, brief moment when the sun and moon can exist in relative harmony, both lighting up the sky.” (Violet about Alex)
“Authorization denied.” “Who’s there? Come out, you witch!” (Hux) “Authorization denied.” “Are you hiding in the ceiling? Come out and face me like a monster!” “Hux, it’s just the machine.” (Jack) “The machine’s trying to keep me from my precious treasure!” (Hux🤣🤣) >> How does Katie May write these scenes🤣🤣
“You stupid, irritating woman. How could you do this to me? To us? If you die, we’re just going to have to follow you to the next life. You know that, don’t you? There’s no point in being here without you. You need to remain alive, Violet Dracula, so I can tell you that I love you. I love you, and I hate you for it, but that doesn’t change the fact that you are my entire world. I’ll kill anyone who dares try to take you from me—even if it’s yourself. Please, Violet. Please.” (Dimitri)
“She’s both my greatest sin and most wonderful salvation. She saved me when I didn’t even realize I needed saving, reforming a broken man into one worthy of her love.” (Mason)
“I love you. I love you with every inch of my dark, fucked-up heart. It’s a lump of coal, but it’s yours . . . if you want it. I love you when you babble. I love you when you say asinine things that make most people shake their heads in disgust. I love you when you’re covered in cheese dust and staring up at me with wide, terrified eyes. I love you, and I’d be remiss if I spent another day not telling you the truth.” (Dimitri)
“You may be willing to kill for me, Violet Dracula. But I’ll burn the world down for you.” (Jack)
“I’m . . . confused.” (Barret) “Gray sweatpants should be made illegal. It does horrible things to a girl’s libido. Mama likey.” (Violet) “Um . . .” Did she hit her head? Is that why she’s calling herself my mother?
“When I received your text, Violet, I was afraid you were breaking up with me. Of course, I wasn’t worried. Not truly. I’m too handsome to be broken up with.” (Cal🤣🤦♀️)
“I feel like there’s a breeze in my bumhole region. My cock-a-doodle is feeling rather peckish. What’s good in the neighborhood, homies?” (Dracula) “Do you have any idea what he just said?” (Vin) “No idea.” (Frankie)
“I’m saying that I love you, you big idiot. I don’t know when it happened—or even how, because you have the personality of a bloody tampon—but I love you. I love you, Alexander. With my whole heart.” (Violet) “I don’t know when it happened for me, either. I mean, we both know your own personality is the equivalent of a dictionary—” (Alex) “Useful and smart?” (Violet) “Boring and monotonous. But I love you too, you bigger idiot.” (Alex)
“From the very first moment we met, he drew me in like a moth to a flame, one look threatening to turn me to nothing but flaky ash. I burn for this man.” (Violet about Alex)
“I have nine mates who love me, three parents who would walk through Hell to get to me, and some of the best friends a girl could ask for. What more could any vampire-who-isn’t-really-a-vampire want?”
“The flowers you bought Violet to celebrate her graduation. I’ve never touched them. I certainly never deflowered them. Do you want to deflower them yourself?” (Barret) Lucifer chokes on air, Dracula snarls, and Hera simply smirks at us all. “I don’t understand what’s happening.” (Barret) “It’s okay. You’re cute. You don’t need to know what’s going on.” (Violet)
“What are you thinking about, Cheese Curd?” (Barret) “How happy I am.” (Violet) This is the life I always wanted but never dreamed I would have. I fought for this—bled for this—and somehow, my deepest fantasy became reality. I may be a monster, but maybe, just maybe, monsters can have happy endings too. And I damn well found mine. 😭😭
The end. This is the 5th and final book in Katie May’s Prodigium Academy series and I’m so sad that this is the end of Violets and her mates story. I loved everything about this series. Violet is hilarious and her 9 mates, yes 9, are amazing. This is a PNR why choose story with a fierce, funny, and powerful FMC.
This book was a wild ride! Medusa was really Deidre Stevens in disguise. Zeus brought her back to life, she had been pretending to be Medusa for 10 years. Violet is able to release the Forminians but almost died in the process, Masons spirit helps push her back. Her and Alex work out their issues. Balor is able to deactivate the ruins and shows Violet how. Turns out that the Forminians are other gods that Zeus locked up because he wanted their power. Violet can control the damned souls. That’s how she killed the hunters and that’s how she destroys Zeus in the big battle. Her parents all three, Lucifer, Hera and Dracula are all okay. Balor dies saving Violet and he uses his spirit to bring Mason back as a Forminian. They go back to school. Everything is pretty normal. I loved the epilogues where you saw them graduate and have kids. Such a good series! I loved it!

4.5 I really loved this series and a lot of that had to do with heroine Violet. She's a whole lot and a bag of chips so I can see why and how she will not be for everyone but personally she was like a kindred spirit. I mean how many super power vamps do you know who trip over air? While I think she went a bit overboard in the mate department (in the end gaining 9), I can see how each has a role to play in her life-but with only two of them swinging both ways that's a lot on her yet she finds her way. The extra epilogues went a long way in giving a nice outlook on their lives which was definitely needed after five books. This was another fun and imaginative series from KM.
☑️ Descendants from famous monsters, creatures, myths, folclore beings (eg. Dracula, Medusa, Cupid, Frankenstein, vampires,...) 🆗⬇️ Academy setting: adults, diverse ages 🆗 FMC: funny, awkward, dances at her own beat, spacey, special one with tendency to ramble ⬇️ Being on the run 🆗 Reverse harem (large group) 🆗⬇️ Mates 🆗⬇️ Instant attraction 🔥 Smut ⬇️ Some, short bully romance 🆗 Funny scenes ⬇️ Special one ❌ Inconsistencies ❌ Anticlimatic/disappointing ending

Zeus is the one to blame. His greed has no bounds.
And now, one of Violet's mates is dead. And the rest of them can be controlled by Zeus and were taken hostage by him along with Violet's parents.
One of the prophecies was right.
And Violet vows to destroy Zeus for what he has done even if that means fulfilling the other prophecy, the one where she will rise to power.
In order to get her revenge she will have to get an army. An army of monsters to destroy the god who ruled them all, who betrayed them all.
Firstly, convince the monster council to help. And these are the ones who are after her for the brutal murder of Van Helsing and his followers. Ups.
Next, liberate Balor's people, the Fomorians from their prison in Hell. The prison her biological father put them in, for thousands of years. No grudges, right?
And finally, get all these people working together, rescue her mates, her parents and chop Zeus into tiny, tiny pieces.

Notes:
🔸 Interesting take on mythology, legends and monsters
All sort of beings interact with each other here.
🔸Funny scenes
A bit of dark humour, where being a monster is the norm and stabbing or eating people is normal. Meshed that with a deranged, cute girl with a propensity to blabber and saying awkward, ridiculous things but it is okay because the guys always think she is adorable.
🔸Special one
The FMC is a special girl, everything goes effortlessly well even through all the chaos surrounding her. People love or hate her. Obviously the guys love her or are obsessed with her right from the start.
🔸 Incoherent and strange plot twists/lines and Inconsistencies
There are plenty of scenes and lines that change in ways that do not make much sense. Almost as if the author changed their mind in the middle and didn't bother to check if it made sense or was consistent or had the proper foundations to support the change.
For example:
- Lucifer physical traits In the previous book he had dark hair and was very different from Violet so much so that she couldn't find similarities between them. But now, he has golden hair and they have so much in common that it is clear he is her biological father. Come again?? Is this an inconsistency so big that completely ruins the story? No, but it clearly illustrates the different degrees of inconsistencies and incoherences that are so common in this story.
- Violet's powers: never seen. She was supposedly training them but nothing was shown except for unconsciously controlling the damned. No effort, no planning and everything ends well. Disappointing final battle.
- the tattoos How come Alex escape without a tattoo? Was it just so Violet could have an escape route?
- Lucifer, Hera and Dracula: so powerful but... For such feared demon/god/monster, not much is seen of their might, their omniscience and all their minions. Time and time again, Lucifer and Dracula have been overpowered. Are they so easy to conquer? A bit disappointing... (And I just remembered the time Lucifer was kept as Violet and the guys' prisoner along with Alex and Balor, even if he could have escaped if he wanted. And while he was a prisoner he was completely forgotten for a while in the story. There was no mention of questioning him, nothing. He disappeared from the plot. And then, when needed, he escapes and returns to the action.)
It is as if the author used Violet's tendency to be distracted or ramble as a way to not pay attention to details and hide inconsistencies or trying to pass those mistakes as part of who Violet is.
And plenty of stupid decisions and unbelievable, unsupported and ill-timed scenes and behaviour.

As always my complete respect for the author and their work. No hate nor hurt intended with this review.

Okay so I'm going against my usual review style here again because I've come to the realization that when reading a series, if one book sucks (especially the last book) then I don't want to get into the series. So I feel it's more important to review a book based on the series in its entirety instead. So here goes ...
Prodigium Academy (as a series) is very cute and well written. The storyline and plot are well thought out and also organized very well. Each book and chapter have a direct focus and the plot twists are very intriguing and entertaining. I was pleased when the ending offered three epilogues to show various stages of the future, which also made for a well rounded ending.
I liked the world that was created for the main character and her mates, and i think each character developed nicely throughout the series. Yeah some side quests within the story were a bit excessive and felt unnatural but I still have to admit i BALLED my eyes out during the final book. Full on ugly cries too.
Regarding every single character, the author did a great job following through on their own storylines and tied everything up nicely in the end. While i skimmed a lot throughout this entire series, i did enjoy it very much. If you're a smut-only reader this may not be the series for you... despite its decent amount of spice, i didn't think those scenes were well conducted and felt quite forced most of the time.
This series had me laughing until there were tears in my eyes. Violet was hilarious! She wasn't necessarily the most kickass character. But, boy, was she a riot. She definitely had a strong personality, but she didn't seem like that strong of a monster through most of the series. Violet's character did grow and change some as the series continued.
The harem developed at a good pace. I felt like the guy characters were well developed. There was instant attraction, but not insta-love. I felt like Alex got brought in a little too late making it difficult to accept him as easily as the others. My favorite guy was Barrett. He cracked me up and was sweet.
The one thing I didn't like was how large the harem was. Nine guys is a lot. While I liked all the guys in the harem, I felt like 9 was just too many for one girl to keep up with, no matter if she could be with several at once..
I appreciated the epilogues.. It was nice to see what happened once the story concluded. I highly recommend this series if you enjoy a good story line and lots of humor.
This series was a lot of fun and made me laugh out loud time and time again.
Violet I love a character who can laugh at herself. The "clumsy girl" schtick can be obnoxious when it takes the place of real characterization, but Violet's clumsiness is so over-the-top that it circles back around to enjoyable. Nothing about this series takes itself seriously, and Violet, most of all.
The Writing Ehhh....at least it's fun, right?
The harem Very large and very unbalanced. Vin, Mason, and Hux are the clear author favorites, while poor Alex gets one on-page kiss and one spicy scene (and even then, Violet's more interested in what Cal and Barret are doing).
Female characters Violet has two female friends - which is one more than most books in this genre. Vanessa was a lot of fun, and Cynthia was allowed to be her monstrous self without any need to pretty her up. The writing for Cheryl Ness was a pleasant surprise. In a genre so prone to delusional, one-dimensional, Fatal Attraction psychos, it was nice to see a romantic rival with depth.
Oh my god this entire series is 5 stars. It was so good and I can’t believe that it is over I don’t want to think that we will never read any more about Violet and her mates.
I’m not sure what to say, without spoiling the whole book.
But let’s give this a shot. This book has a dead mate and the grief and agony that comes with that, the loss of the rest of her mates as well as her parents, she hast to go on a journey to find her army to fight Zeus, figuring out how to get her mates back to her, figuring out how to win the war against Zeus and his army, new alliances, finding information about Cal and his family, amazing, love declarations from people that hadn’t said it yet, fighting to win the war, figuring out how to become the queen of the world, and an ending that will leave you feeling very satisfied that you got to see all of it and didn’t miss out on the rest of her life.
I hope we get more books in the future. This was a series that will stay with me forever.
The epilogue to this book is awesome. I love this book. It was so funny at the end, I outright laughed. It was in there. Incredibly funny and incredibly accurate, I love the way they all started spiraling at the end. I love that knives are super bad. Oh, ha ha ha. It was so awesome. What if we fuck it up? I just thought that was the awesomest one and I love that the date she goes on for prom, and they talk about killing her date. Because he's a cheater, I vote, we kill him. It was just awesome. Once again, this series is really good, and I'm glad I started it. I'm glad I read it through to the end. Um, there was only one book in the series that I just really didn't couldn't get into, but that's the way it goes most of the series. There's always one. Um, but this one was pretty good. I really loved it. I even liked the way they ended it, Zeus. It was just pretty good. I love this, book
This was such a good series, it was hilarious, sad, and so dang beautiful! I loved every single minute of it! I laughed so hard at Violets mishaps and her continual klutzy rambling self. I genuinely binged this sooo freaking hard. This is one series I will recommend to everyone. It had loads of fun times and serious ones as well. Thank you Katie May for writing something so amazing. You outdid yourself on this one. I will miss Violets quirkiness, Jack/Hux sweet possessive craziness, Vins possessive arsehold personality, Dimitri’s cold heartfelt self, Masons succinctly sweet self, Barrett’s sweet innocence, Cals loving yet smug self, Alex’s heat and push & pull, & Frankie’s intelligence w/ a powerful heart. I will even miss Balor with his stabby sweetness. Thank you so much for this tantalizing story.
This series is terrible but I couldn't stop reading it
I don't know how it happened. I knew it was bad but somehow I couldn't stop! I just had to find out what happened next. It was like watching a car wreak, of really bad reality T.V. The story had many inconsistencies. For example Vin's hair description goes from Black to at one point light brown, then back to black. Granted it's a lot of characters to keep track of. The main character was extremely frustrating. The author makes it a point to say she's a vampire so she's faster/ stronger than most. Yet she gets her ass kicked in every scenario. She never uses her strength and speed at all. Also don't get me started on the "Banter" if you want to call it that. Seriously, it's ridiculous. Over all it's very light hearted and a very silly read. Not the worst but certainly not the best.
It was hard at first for me to get into this weird bc the fmc just annoyed me. I don’t like fmc’s like Violet bc being immature and clumsy is their whole personality.
“Besides, I have a rat to . . . unrat-ify? Yeah. I have a rat to unratify.” It’s commentary like this that justttt gets on my nerves. But as always, I get over it and the books did grow on me as did the guys. But, last complaint….adding more love interests as the series moves forward…I can’t. I saw Cal and B (can’t remember his name) as friends and I was surprised when they were her mates. And Alex!?? I mean I love a dark masculine man but it just seemed random. Only one I didn’t really mind was Dimitri bc…I like fictional psychos. Anyways, I did laugh and cry during this series and it definitely sent me into a whirlwind of emotions. Just not one of the authors good series.
I have loved this series! I’m so sad it’s come to an end. But boy was it fantastic! And the ending left me full of butterflies and smiles. Violet really had me in a roller coaster of emotions this last book. It Hot, sad, funny, Hot again, and then back to dying of laughter. I was also on the edge of my seat, everything wrapped up nicely and I even loved the bits of the parents we get, now that’s a side story I would love to read. I could never get tired of these characters. I love violet so ,unchanged she was so wild and unrestrained. This book really helps you escape from reality for a bit and leaves you craving more. Can’t wait to see what Katie May has next!
I’m so in awe of Katie May’s work. I stumbled upon her book demon kissed and have found my way here. Your books make me feel all the emotions the characters experience and the bluntness and hilarity of each character, especially the FMC keeps me coming back for more! This series took me on the biggest rollercoaster ride from dying laughing in my bed at 4am to trying not to cry at work at 3pm. So happy I get to read books like this that make you feel all the love. Can’t wait for more 🩵
I can't say enough on how absolutely amazing this series is!!!!! Prodigious Academy has become one of my favorite series I know I will be rereading this a lot. I love each character and how the harem has grown throughout the series. It is easy to keep track of each of the guys and you get to know how unique they each are. The story has twists and turn that you can't predict so it stays interesting. I just couldn't put the books down. I'm going to be collecting the audiobooks next.
This was a very satisfying ending to a great series. Olympus, Hell, Monsters all in one epic conclusion. I loved how Violet handled the aftermath, how parents were dealt with, and the dad competition between Lucifer and Dracula. I don’t feel like I need to convince anyone to read this…..if you read books 1-4, of course you are going to read book 5. Fabulous book!
I have enjoyed Katie May's writing and this is my favorite series she has written. Violet the MC is freaking hilarious! Some of her antics made me laugh so hard I had tears rolling down my face. I love the fact that the characters are children of famous monsters! I loved her harem and it was so hard to have just one favorite. It had a great ending to the series. I highly suggest reading the series!
What away to end the series! I will forever miss Violet and her men. Way less spicthan the previous books in my opinion, however so much more happened. This book did take me while to finish only because I had to pace myself so as not to completely demolish it in one day.. Congrats, Katie, on finishing another great series. Funny, toe curling, laugh(I mean snort laugh) out load read. To break up all the seriousness of day to day life.
So first of all best series I’ve read in awhile!!!! Loved loved loved all of Prodigium Academy series. I could read these all again. Every book was funny made me laugh and smile and also all the hot men and sexy time. Can’t go wrong with reading these books Violet is so funny and so is her fathers and mates!!! Not going to go into detail because I wouldn’t want to ruin a good book before you start A must read hope you enjoy
What started off so unserious quickly turned serious. Book One was so goofy but as the series continued, it really matures and turned into something I'm sad to say goodbye to. 9 mates sounds like a lot but honestly men are dumb and really you need so many to make a completely functioning man haha. All 9 of them are the perfect mate for Violet. Sigh, I'm going to sit with this one for awhile, I miss it already.
Why did this series have to end?? I loved it so much!! I am so happy with the way this book ended. This whole series has been hilariously funny but this book kicked it up a notch. And the epilogues were so great. They all finally got the ending they deserved. I already want to re-read it again and I just finished. I can't wait to read more books by this author.
Amazing, magnificent, fierce, brutal, heartbreaking! This book was great! I’m so happy with how Violet & her mates story ended. That girl is one of my all time favorite characters! Expect more hilarious rambling for Violet, great chemistry with her mates, & a brutal battle that has more than a few surprises.
I loved this series and the characters from the beginning and this ending really did them justice and wrapped things up nicely. I would have liked Violet coming into her powers a little more, showing a little more growth in that department, but all in all, good ending to a series I’d revisit again.
Tbh I felt like the whole Zeus plot line was a bit flimsy. Violet wasn’t even looking to take the throne but he just assumed and made it happen. Self fulfilling prophecy. But overall I enjoy Violet and her mates. Especially Alex and Dimitri they are some of my favs. Tbh I love all her men.
The epilogue was just what this end of the series needed.
This was the perfect ending to this series. I loved every single book. Violet is fierce, clumsy and hilarious. I love all of her mates for her. They each bring something different for her. Love her parents and how everything happened. The epilogue just made me smile. Thank you for an amazing series.
