Trinity Falls Sweet Romance #8

Cowboy's Holiday Housesitter

Rate this book
They’re forced to share a home for the holidays, but only a miracle could make them share their hearts…

Single dad Ansel Williams is the strong, silent type. After losing his wife, he settled into a quiet life with his young son. Working the farm, spending time with his parents, and being there for his boy have kept him plenty busy for years. He has no need for a woman’s company.

But when the housesitter he canceled shows up anyway, just as the holidays are kicking in, Ansel’s compassion forces him to offer the pretty young woman and her daughter a place to stay.

Winona is distractingly beautiful, inspiringly energetic, and as kind-hearted as can be. And her very cool, skateboarding daughter makes his introverted son laugh like Ansel has never seen before. But there is no way he would ever risk upsetting things by doing something as silly as admitting his feelings.

When Ansel begins seeing glimpses of the city life his new guests left behind, he is more determined than ever to somehow resist the impossible attraction he feels for resilient and wonderful Winona, and the instant connection he has with her brave and complicated daughter.

Ansel is quick to open his home. But what will it take to make him open his heart before it’s too late?

Trinity Falls Sweet Romance is all about finding family – one clean & wholesome romance at a time.

When a lively single mother meets a quiet single father, and they have to share the same house you have to expect the sweetest, heartwarming story.

Winona decides to leave Philadelphia to ger her daughter away from some bad companies. They come to Trinity Falls for an house sitting deal, but Ansel doesn' have cancelled her services when he decided to not go on holiday, and now he has to choose between let Winona and Parker live with him and his son or let them go find a new accomodation. As the days pass their bond becomes deeper and deeper, the boundaries become blurred, will Winona and Ansel let each other into their hearts?

I loved Winona, Ansel, Parker and Lucas. These characters are really nice. The love between mother and daughter and father and son is tangible and beautiful. I adored even more the easy relationship that blooms between the kids, and between the kids and the parent of the other.
Winona and Ansel have a very good heart, unfortunately life hurt them so they decided to dedicate only to their children, but I was so glad to see how they slowly accepted their feelings for each other in order to become a real family.

I enjoy reading Clara Pines works, her writing is pleasant, soulful and inspiring.

I highly recommend Cowboy's Holiday Housesitter, it is a great addition to the Trinity Falls series, it could be read as a stand alone.

Another wonderful sweet romance in this series. Sat down and read it in less than 2 hours and then was sad that it was over! I love the way these single parents center their lives on their children but share them with other people. Well done.

Winona is a single mom from Philadelphia, starting over again with young teen daughter named Parker. They’re starting over after the divorce when her daughter started hanging with the wrong crowd. Once Parker got into a little trouble she knew it was time to move to Trinity Falls. A small town is what they both need right now. She can work from anywhere. So they went to house sit the home of single dad Ansel, a widower who works on his family’s farm. Ansel decided not to go away but the service didn’t tell her it was cancelled. What will she do? She’s looking for a place for them to live, will she find one? Ansel feels bad and decides to let them stay. Now that she’s there Ansel offers her and Parker to stay if she can help with his son Lucas will he take evening classes. What’s not to love? Some home cooked meals, help picking up Lucas who seems to love to hang out with Parker. The two kids are bonding. He’s finally coming out of his shell. With a lot of misunderstandings, angry words that’s hard to take back, and their chemistry, they are struggling to figure their feelings out. Will Winona and Parker find a home? Will Lucas be sad if they move? Can two single parents figure out what the future holds? Both need to learn to trust, forgive and let the past go. The characters are wonderful. Good parents who always puts their children first. I love this story. It’s worth the read. Clara Pines has done a wonderful job with this series. Read her books. I received this book for my honest review. I give voluntarily.

WOW! Another delightful, clean, sweet holiday romance from the small town of Trinity Falls. Ms. Pines has done it again. She’s given us romance readers a wonderful storyline with characters, both new and old, that you can’t help but love and root for. If you’ve kept up with the series you’ve met Ansel and his 8 year old son, Luke. Since his wife's passing, Luke has been his main focus. Ansel worries if he is enough as Luke seems to be shying away from everyone and the things he once loved. When a mixup with the service he used to book a housesitter, for a trip he and Luke had to cancel, brings a lovely woman, Winona, and her young daughter, Parker, to his door, Ansel is torn. He lets them stay in his spare rooms until she can make other arrangements.

Winona has her own issues. Newly divorced, her daughter has spiraled and not in a good way. So Winona takes a housesitting job, hoping to eventually find a place to live in the country, away from the city and its troubles for a teen. But when she learns of the sitting services mixup what is she going to do? Especially when troubles start and the kids are caught up in the middle of them.

Another wonderful read that this reader can’t recommend enough. Everyday problems set in a magical setting that just might be enough to solve what everyone needs.

Cowboy's Holiday Housesitter is a magnificent addition to the Trinity Falls Sweet Romance series! I was looking forward to Ansel's story after reading Cowboy's Christmas Librarian and Ms. Pines did not disappoint, as usual. I wasn't sure how a house-sitting situation was going to lead to a romance, but as we soon find out, the owner of the home, Ansel, has cancelled his vacation and thought he had cancelled the housesitter, Winona, but she didn't get the notice from the service that set everything up for them. Of course Ansel decides to let Winona and her daughter, Parker, stay with him and his son, Lucas. The story has a bit of the instalove trope, but it doesn't feel forced or lustful. As much as I loved the development of Ansel and Winona's relationship, reading about the relationship between Lucas & Parker was even more enjoyable. Lucas coming out of his shell and Parker letting down her guard was handled very realistically. The growth of their friendship and subsequent desire to see their parents together was adorable. I loved how Parker stuck up for Lucas at school. Everyone needs a friend willing to knock heads together in your defense!
Ms. Pines has a way of writing relationships in such a realistic, relatable way that it makes her stories an absolute joy to read. Every one she releases becomes my new favorite book!

We are back in Trinity Falls with another wonderful story about one of the Williams siblings. This time the story belongs to widower, single dad, Ansel Williams.
Ansel and his sweet eight year old boy Luke live a quiet life on the family’s ranch. A ranch that may no longer belongs to them if his parents decide to sell.
Winona Lee got a one month housesitting job in Trinity Falls. This was the perfect opportunity for her and her thirteen year old daughter to leave behind Philadelphia and start a new life. Unbeknown to Winona, the housesitting job had been cancelled when Ansel cancel his trip.
As much as Ansel didn’t want people in his house, he couldn’t send these two away, so a compromise was reached. Winona would cook and take care of the kids while he secretly went to school .
What happens when it starts to feel like a family of four and feelings develop? What happens when an accident disturbs the status quo?
This was another wonderful , sweet, clean romance that will touch the readers’ hearts and will leave you wanting to give them all a hug.
I was entrusted a copy of this book by Media 1852. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

5 Star review Cowboy’s Holiday Houesitter (Trinity Falls Sweet Romance #8) by Clara Pines
I absolutely love my visits to Trinity Falls, as these stories are romantic, sweet and with characters whose stories you cannot help but become invested in. To me these are very relatable stories full of heart and soul.
Cowboy's Holiday Housesitter was a fabulous addition to the series. This is single dad Ansel Williams and single mum Winona Lee’s story and what a wonderful story it was. I love any stories set around Christmas, so this series has been a winner for me.
I loved how Ansel and Winona had each other’s back as well as their children’s. Winona is looking for a new life, somewhere she can take her daughter and escape from the issues that have been happening in Philadelphia. When her house-sitting job falls through, Ansel steps up and offers them a place to stay until she can find an alternative. That decision changed all their lives in such a positive way and my heart melted as they grew to love one another and became a blended family.
These books are full of heart and soul and characters who have become like my family to me and I will be sad when this series ends.

Didn’t finish after page 77. It was fine just too simple and straightforward and easy. At first I thought it was one of those short books that was only like a hundred or so pages long because the romance was happening so quick and easy that it felt like it had nowhere else to go so it would need to be short. She sees him and is attracted to him right away. He sees her and is attracted to her right away. She is feeling things she has never felt before. He is feeling things he has never felt before. She likes seeing how good he is with her son. He likes seeing how good she is with his son. It’s all very nice and good and fine and repetitive. They are thinking the same things as eachother so it’s like we are hearing everything twice. There is no mystery or anything because of the dual point of view. We know what both characters are thinking and doing and feeling at all times about every situation. I just wasn’t motivated to keep going. The characters were nice. They weren’t annoying. Sometimes it’s nice to read a simple romance so if that’s what you’re looking for then this is for you.

I want to move to Trinity Falls!!!!
I love my visits to this wonderful small town were the residents are friendly, the romance is sweet and the kids are adorable. Cowboy’s Holiday Housesitter is single dad Ansel Williams and single mum Winona Lee’s journey and all I’m going to say is, this is a beautifully written, magical and entertaining story that you will want to read.
Winona is looking for a fresh start, somewhere her daughter can grow up without the influences that go with inner city living and that’s what brings her to Trinity Falls. Problem is the house-sitting job she has set up has fallen through and she now has nowhere to live until Ansel offers them a place to stay. What follows is an entertaining and magical read as the holiday season approaches and this couple find love when they least expected too.
I love this series, I love single parent romances and I love the holiday season so this book was always going to be on my radar. For me this is the perfect addition to this magical series that’s full of love.

Another great book in this series!! I read this one in a day I just couldn't put it down. Winona and her daughter's housesitting job goes a little awry when Ansel and his son are still at the house. Though this little mix up turns into something so beautiful. That is the reason I love this series so much each book just makes you feel good. Plus for an added bonus they happen around the holidays which adds a magical touch. Winona's daughter Parker needs a change of scenery to get her a fresh start she never knew how much Parker would blossom in Trinity Falls. Ansel and Lucas needed the special touch Winona and her daughter bring in their lives. I loved watching the special bonds be created by the four. This is a book that will give you the true meaning of the season and get you right in the mood for it. I highly recommend this one!!

If Trinity Falls isn't enough to make you feel in love her characters Ansel and Winona definitely will. Oh my gosh this book, so adorable and cosy. It makes you want to read it forever.
So many Christmas and Hallmark vibes and a true romance.
When Winona comes to Trinity Falls from a divorce she doesn't expect to be taken by her new boss, Ansel. And he's hard to resist a true swoony cowboy.
There's kids involved and each parent is conscious of upsetting their kids for the sake of a romance.
The book deals with divorce and the impact on kids and also loss of a loved one in Ansel and his son's case.
I love the way the author brings everything together and tells a story that can tug at your heartstrings.
Her writing is perfection and graceful, eloquent.
I'm so happy I've discovered her.

As always a sweet romance in small town Trinity Falls. Winona is uprooting her life in Philadelphia with her daughter Parker to find a better surroundings for her daughter who was starting to fall into the wrong crowd at school. Taking a housesitting job was a fantastic way to see if Trinity Falls would be a great option. Unfortunately after getting settled in to the home the owner and is son shows up. There was a mixed up with the reservation and it never did get canceled. Being a good neighbor Ansel offers for they to stay till they find someplace else. And a little miracle happens as Ansel very shy son takes a liking to Parker and Parker is treating him like a little brother. That isn’t the only bonding that is occurring.
I love the sweet getaway this series delivers. #TrinityFalls #CowboysHolidayHousesitter

Winona, Ansel, Parker and Lucas were absolutely the perfect story. Winona and Parker are headed to Trinity Falls to house sit and look for a new future. Winona is a proofreader and Parker is her teen daughter. Ansel and Lucas were headed to the beach for a holiday but it is canceled due to his parents thinking that they might need to sell the farm that he and Lucas have a house on. Ansel is a farmer and Lucas is his teen son. Some miscommunication puts them sharing the house and their lives. Can they both learn to start their lives over and learn to love again? This book has laughter, all the feels, a few missteps, friendship that grow into feelings and a warm, welcoming town. You don’t want to miss this book. 5+ stars.

If you enjoy very mushy, sweet and clean romance, this book is for you! I have to say that out of all of Clara Pines' books in this series, this book is the most sentimental of all, in terms of the relationships between the MC's and their own children and each other's children. Everybody loves each other so much and they do over-the-top nice things for each other!  Having said that, I enjoyed the plot, the characters and the author's writing as I usually do. The book was a quick and easy read, and entertaining. I'm really excited to read the next book in the series, as I've been waiting to hear more about those MCs.

Families

Winona had just gotten through a divorce when she & her daughter, Parker, were on their way to Trinity Falls. They were going to be house sitting through the Christmas Holidays. But, once they got to the house, they found that Ansel had contacted three house-sitting service to cancel! He and his son, Lucas, were planning on staying home after all! Because there were no other arrangements suitable, Ansel asked Winona & Parker to stay until they could find something suitable. Little by little, both families became very close, to the point that Parker & Lucas were hoping they could all be one big happy family! Ms. Pines has caught the concerns, happiness & cautions involved where two different families are involved.

COWBOY’S HOLIDAY HOUSESITTER was another favorite for me in the Trinity Falls sweet Christmas romance series. Ansel is a single dad who works long hours on the ranch. His son Luchas struggle with making friends in school. When he forgets to cancel the housesitter he’d planned for their trip, and Winona and her daughter Parker show up, he’s not sure what to think about her, her daughter, or her skateboard, but she and Luchas hit it off, and he allows them to stay. I really liked the second chance themes in this one, and loved how each of the kids took so well to what the other adult had to offer—cooking between Luchas and Winona was sweet to watch, and the horse scenes with Parker and Ansel were a delight. This was a favorite! 5/5 stars.

Ansel tried his best to do what was best for his kid Lucas when his wife passed away and to make sure he knew he was loved. Ansel canceled their trip, but the house-sitting agency didn't cancel Winona, who showed up with her daughter Parker. Parker is struggling because of her parents' separation. Both Parker and Luis and Winona and Ansel had an instant connection. I adore how they work together to act in each child's best interests. One of my all-time favorites is this entire series. Each book in this series by Clara Pines is superb. This is a fantastic holiday read. Beautiful beyond words. “ received ARC of this book. All opinions are my own.”

I'm not a huge fan of clean romance but my god the way Clara Pines writes them speaks to me on every level. Ansel and Winona didn't have much happiness in their lives. One was a widower and the other was left by her husband for a younger model. But life brought them together and spending time together makes them see that maybe just maybe they could reach for the stars and find HEA, because if you want to have a family you have to fight for it.

I'm so ready to meet the mystery man that's buying all the land in this small town and see what the youngest sibling (Emma) will do with him.

Cowboy's Holiday Housesitter is such a sweet read. I loved this one. Winona is a single mom looking for that small town to move her daughter to for a fresh start. She is a sweetheart and is thrown into sharing the house she's supposed to be house-sitting. Ansel is a fantastic single dad and widower who wants to focus on his son and not looking for another relationship. I love the bond their children form right from the start. This is a sweet read that will pull at your heart the closer Ansel and Winona get. I love the connection between Ansel and Winona form with each other's children. I could not put this down. Heartwarming story

I've read all the Trinity Falls books and have enjoyed every one. This tale just gave me all the warm feelings with the sweet friendship/romance between Ansel and Winona. Their children were loveable too, but with quirks. No spoilers, but the part about Logan and Parker's episode at school really touched me.
I like that Clara Pines stories are loosely tied together with family relationships but they are easily read individually. So jump in and take a trip through Trinity Falls.

Two amazing parents struggling to avoid an entanglement

I loved this couple. In a selfish world, it’s always a treat to read about characters who are willing to put their children first.
Winona was grieving a marriage she had lost. Ansel was grieving the wife he’d lost to death. They both realized that their kids must come first. Watching them discover that becoming a family is what’s best for their children was such a joy.
I loved the conflict and the resolution.
Every visit to Trinity Falls is better than the last.

I read the Cowboy's Holiday housesitter by Clara Pines through the Kindle Unlimited program. Ansel and Winona's story really touched my heart. Two parents trying to do what best for there children. Both hurting for different reasons. One born a farm and the other raised in the city. What they don't know is all four of them need each other. All they have to do is open their hearts and it will be a magical Christmas. Another great book in this awesome series. Clara Pines has made Trinity Falls feel so real that I want to go visit.

My favorite!

I have so enjoyed this series but I love this book most of all! Two adults who are very real people, who make mistakes and are not afraid to admit it! Best of all, there are two children who have been so cherished that they, are excited to share a new blended family. My favorite part of the book was the scene with the school vice principal. He was so self important, rushing to declare judgment on a young girl without bothering to learn all the facts. Ansel and Winona each politely but firmly put him in his place!

Yes, yes, yes, read this book! If you want a really interesting story, one that holds your attention, with characters that are loveable that you want to know about, a book you find hard to put down, then read this book. Furthermore, there was not one curse word and the derriere was refered to as backside, not a**. Crass words and curse words add nothing to a book, in my opinion, and are pointless. Thank you Clara Pines for a wonderful book with enchanting characters with real problems to overcome.

I absolutely love this series! Ansel and Winona want their children to have a great childhood. They were going to do everything they can to make their lives better even if it means putting their lives on hold. Although they both had feelings for each other they didn't act on them until Ansel thought Winona was moving on. I loved this book! I think that it's my favourite book of the series! Cowboy's Holiday Housesitter is an amazing holiday romance!

Love the second time around

Ansel and Lucas have such a special bond so it was fun to have them meet Parker and Winona. It's hard for single parents to accept new love, regardless of they're single due to death or divorce. They built a friendship first and it took an accelerated situation to realize they had feelings for each other they wanted to pursue.

I'm excited to see what happens next with the homestead!

Ansel and lucas

Ansel had decided when his wife died, that Lucas was all he needed. He never wanted Lucas to feel like he wasn't the most important person in his life. When winona and Parker got to town to house sit for them after he had cancelled the trip, their lives were about to change. Could they all Make room in their hearts and lives for each other? This was another great book in this series!

A real heart warmer

I didn't want the story to end. The whole thing from start to finish was truly heart-warming. From how the characters stood up for each other, or were willing to forgo what was rightfully theirs, to bless someone else, or putting other's needs before their own. The whole story just wrapped you around in providential love. It was amazing. If you need to feel loved and cherished at the moment, this book is for you. Step into it, and be warmly loved.

I adore this series. It shows how fate plays role in how the couples meet and fall in love. Ansel and his son had planned a trip to the beach which ended up being cancelled except the house sitter never got the message so Winona and her daughter move into the house. Ansel is shocked to find Winona in the house with no place to go. This is their love story.
