The Magic of Rainbows

Rate this book
Emily loves teaching, but after a bone-chilling incident shatters her sense of security, she flees to the idyllic haven of Sapphire Bay, seeking solace and a fresh start. Amidst the tranquil shores and quaint community, she finds herself drawn to the enigmatic Steve – a rugged former soldier haunted by the echoes of war and battling his own demons of PTSD.

As Emily and Steve's paths intertwine, they find an unlikely connection through their roles: Steve, coaching the local church's basketball team with a passion that mirrors his determination to overcome his past, and Emily, dedicating herself to a new chapter as she takes on teaching in a town that holds both promise and secrets.

As they navigate the challenges of their pasts, their bond deepens into an unexpected romance. But can their newfound connection withstand the weight of their personal struggles? Will Emily and Steve find the strength to heal each other and embrace a future together?

Escape to Sapphire Bay, where love blooms in the most unexpected of places, and healing is found in the company of kindred spirits. ‘The Magic of Rainbows’ is a poignant and uplifting women's fiction novel that will tug at your heartstrings, warm your soul, and leave you believing in the transformative power of love.

Hiding in plain sight

Steve and Eden are both suffering with PTSD and moving to be part of Pastor John's support group has given them the security, safety and support they need to finally begin healing. They find comfort and new hope in Sapphire Bay, but Steve has secrets that he is hiding from, and seeing him struggle to open up and tell Eden about them is both frustrating and heart wrenching. They are both good people and generous characters but trust doesn't come easy for either of them, so them finally opening up and offering their hearts is beautiful. We also have a new addition to the town! So exciting for not only the new parents, who are central to the town's success, but also for the town as a whole. They are all one big, slightly dinted but welcoming family who celebrate every new addition and offer shelter to every person seeking refuge.
A sweet series that fills your heart with hope and love.

his was a sweet story about overcoming life’s tragedies and finding love on the other side of healing. I didn’t feel like the romance was rushed, I liked how the characters from her previous books were woven into this novel and that her trauma felt authentic. I do wish that they had touched on her PTSD more. In her other books, she has shown that the recovery is a journey. This is a big piece of the puzzle that was missing from this book. For this reason, I would give this book only 3.5 stars.

Magical Rainbows

This is the third book in this series by Leeanna Morgan. This book introduces us to two new characters who come to Sapphire Bay. Both Eden, a teacher and Steve, an artist move here to get support from PTSD. Along with these newcomers are some characters in earlier books too. I look forward to reading the next book in this series and I hope Ms. Morgan continues writing more stories.
