I have taken up art as a new hobby, and thought this book would be a good introduction. However exercise were repeated in the painting section when it would have been simple to say repeat this exercise with paint. I did learn various things but it is full of a lot of not very useful photos that created impression they were padding. Info on material and papers etc could have been found on internet. Giving 3 stars because it got me started but not recommended. More useful books available.
