Another great story in the A Snips and Snails Cafe Cozy Mystery Series! This story has no cliffhanger ending. However, there are potential openings for new stories based upon some of the happenings. I have also read all of the books in the series and love each and every one of them.
In this story Juli and Jack are finally getting married. And as anyone who has every been part of getting ready for a wedding knows there will bumps and then bigger bumps before you get to the "I Do" part. And this had many such bumps.
I did really love the part abut Gilly. It's amazing what can happen when you see the world thru other's eyes.
It was nice to see that some of the characters from the Spells Bay series are crossing over. They added a different dimension to the usual character base. And it seems that there could be a new love interest starting up. Perhaps they might show up in either or both series.
It's always fun to see what trouble (or help) Gran and Grams will bring to the party.
I really hope that Fanny the Flame got what was coming to her. They say that Karma is a B***H and Fanny was long over due for her lesson.
If you enjoy paranormal cozy mysteries you need to read this and all of the stories.

What a delightful story. Is Juli and Jack going to be able to have the wedding they planned for? After all there is an arsonist loose. Plus, people were dying or have died from eating cupcakes that Charme baked and sold at her bakery. Unless they find who poisoned the cupcakes, Charme may go to jail. Every time they think they have a description of the possible arsonist, the descriptions are all different. From an old lady, a beautiful young lady that could possibly be a model, to a matron looking lady. But it's not only Charme's bakery being broken into, Seamus has been having some problems of his own.
Do Juli and Jack get married? Are the arsonist and the person who poisoned the cupcakes, one and the same person or are they looking for two different people? So many questions and twist and turns. Can you figure out who the culprit or culprits are and why they are doing this?

Juli and Jack should have a quiet lead up to their wedding. But this is Veil Falls and there are mysteries to solve and an arsonist to stop who also poisons people. Juli just can't catch a break. Once you visit Veil Falls, you will wish that you could physically visit and have some of Juli's soup and one of Brownie's cocktails. I love this series we get to follow along with characters we already know and this latest introduces a bunch of new ones I hope we get to know as well. We get to learn more about Gilly in this book and she is one of the more interesting characters with more to her than even she knows. Ms. Rain has as always set us up for the next book, leaving us wanting the next book as soon as she can.

Charme’ Hason goes to her bakery the Charme ‘ Lovecake in Lake Superior Bay. Alvin Pettigrew had ordered a anniversary cup cake from Charme’ for himself and his wife Maryanne for their fifty years of marriage. Then disaster happens Charme’ is accused of attempted murder. The Vail Falls Chief of Police Jerry Watson and Anna Shilling accuse her of poisoning her customers. It is upto Charme's to find out who had framed her . A enjoyable read with a lot of magic . I am on the ARC team and leave a honest review. I recommend this book to other readers.

Ms. Rain gives us another opportunity to put on our detective hats as we revisit Veil Falls.
While this can be read as a stand-alone, the history of the previous novels (this is #9) helps you get the full experience. Without that background, the story can feel a bit disjointed at times. But there's a new character added to the cast, creating a hint of new romance so that's a bonus. We still get the expected mix of quirky characters, a whiff of magic, a bit of danger and a complicated mystery to solve. Will you figure out “who dunnit”? Definitely worth adding to your reading list.

Juli and Jack are days away from their wedding. Why is nothing going right? Juli’s sister, husband, and eight and a half kids are moving in. As in with Juli. Charme’s cupcake endeavor is not going well. And the good looking guy opening the shop next door isn’t having better luck. And poor Gilly the cat is now over 40 pounds. Will things be resolved so that the wedding will happen. Another great book in this series.

Another interesting cozy mystery from Elizabeth Rain. With Juli and Jack trying to get the final details set for their upcoming nuptials, Cousin Charme comes under suspicion of attempted murder. Juli never doubts her cousin's innocence, and involves herself in trying to solve the mystery. With the usual cast of characters along with a few new ones, this book engages the reader with its complicated storyline.

Can't get enough ...
I love this series of books! I love the characters, and all their adventures. Each book, is a great story! Details make you feel like you are at the Upper Peninsula. Looking forward to more of Elizabeth's stories!!
