Pretend You're
Luke Garrison is a hometown hero, a member of the National Guard ready to deploy again. He's strong, sexy, broody. The last thing he's looking for is a woman to ruin his solitude. When the wildly beautiful Harper stumbles into his life, though, he realizes that she's the perfect decoy.

Finally
Gloria is due a happily ever after. She's lost ten years to a toxic, dangerous relationship. Now that she's finally free―and medicating with makeovers and margaritas in her mother's kitchen―she has a long road ahead of her remembering who she really is. She's scarred. But scarred doesn't mean broken.

Protecting What's
Fire Chief Lincoln Reed is known for his heroics in the fire department and in the bedroom. Life is a never-ending good time. Until she lands in the middle of the accident scene he's working…and then his backyard. Too bad she's immune to flirty first responders.

Lucy Score is an instant #1 New York Times bestselling author. She grew up in a literary family who insisted that the dinner table was for reading and earned a degree in journalism.

She writes full-time from the Pennsylvania home she and Mr. Lucy share with their obnoxious cat, Cleo. When not spending hours crafting heartbreaker heroes and kick-ass heroines, Lucy can be found on the couch, in the kitchen, or at the gym.

She hopes to someday write from a sailboat, oceanfront condo, or tropical island with reliable Wi-Fi.

1st book - LOVE IT
2nd book - was ok, half repeat from book 1 & half new story
3rd book - boring. 2 chapters aren’t enough to like the book.

- Pretend You’re Mine -
5/5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Another amazing story from Lucy.
So easy to read, funny with a hint of „give me a tissue, I’ll cry”, spicy and good for book slump. My went away so so fast. 😁

Luke and Harper are both great characters. Harper, a total sunshine with her own chaos and even bigger heart. Luke, a little grumpy with some dark clouds above his head but available for anyone who needs his help and in need for someone to break his walls.

His and Harper’s chemistry was “born” very quickly and no matter if they had a good or bad time - they knew it and everyone around them was aware of it too, especially when Luke got territorial….and he did. 😁

- Finally Mine -
2⭐️
Definitely not a good idea to read right after book 1.
First +100 pages were like reading book 1 but from Gloria or Aldo’s pov. Actually, whatever Harper or Luke were mentioned, I knew what happened so I just skimmed through and it was quite a lot.
What was new, was ok but kinda childish when Gloria and Aldo broke up 🤷‍♀️

- Protecting What’s Mine -
1⭐️ DNF

Did I read it? Yes and no. I read till chapter 9, skipped to ch.12 then to ch.20 and read till ch.36. Got bored and finally skipped to the epilogue.

Did I like it? Just chapter 29🔥 and when it was just Mac & Linc together. Other than that it was boring. 🤷‍♀️
It was mostly about their work…not like the romance in book 1 or even 2.

Very predictable, but they kept me entertained and were the feel-good story I needed at the time. I enjoy Lucy Score for that reason. Her books leave me feeling happy, although some of the sex scenes are a bit graphic.
