Alice's place in Wonderland becomes ever curiouser, as a newfound role changes everything for her and the unpredictable denizens of her escapism. But with power comes an ever-weakening trust between her and her most trusted advisors, especially when they congregate with her former tormentors?
This series continues to be amazing. I loved this issue. It was a little dense with dialogue, but the plot moves forward as the Cheshire Cat, i.e. Alice's father, wants to come back to Neverland, and as Alice's sister visits the doctor who performed the life-altering surgery on Alice, and her father visits the former Queen of Hearts. They both make deals, and it'll be interesting to see where the story goes in issue #3, especially with the rabbit telling Alice that, before she became queen, the Queen of Hearts was like Alice, and now, Alice herself is the Queen of Hearts... Side note: I like that there is expo to remind us what happened in the original series! It helps since it's been a bit since I've read Alice Ever After.
