Call it incredible, the story of Ron and Susanne Cox of Alabaster Alabama.
⁃ the book contains a little bit of hero worship
⁃ written by an author with a sweet spirit
⁃ contains magnificent testimonies
⁃ “Guts and glory” demonstrated in everyday life
⁃ one star was subtracted as I found myself skipping portions of dialogue and memories that did not add to the story line
- Incredible moments shared including:
- “… I will make up the difference” pg45
- Pg 99 Dealing with Jesus people with grace and liberty
- Marital love defined - pg 198
- Pg 206 - a description of the commitment of marriage
- Pg 209 - tears came to my eyes as Glenda passed away, healed now in the presence of her Lord
- Whether married or single, a call to live in an attitude of repentance
- Pg 227 - “fellowship is the glue that holds friendships together”
- Thrilled to read the spectacular miracles Susanne saw - including a thwarted kidnapping in India- pg 278

All together I am glad I picked the book up. It’s a fast read. It would be sure to be an interest to those who enjoy testimonies of Pentecostals/Christian faith, Christians looking to rekindle their own faith, curious nonChristians who want to know what being a Christian or a Pentecostal is all about and those needing an insight into living with Huntington’s Disease or who fulfill a role as caregiver to a spouse with a disabling disease.

Thank you Mark Sims for this labor of love.

Great book. Easy to read, interesting and in many things - relatable.
It's great to see how God works behind the scenes and things come together - long before it's on our hearts & minds. To see the power of prayer, discipleship, faith and love in real peoples lives.
Definitely a must read.
