From international bestselling author Rob Horner comes Night Second Day.
Second Day continues the epic story begun in Night Zero, redefining the ZomPoc genre and bringing new life to the lifeless.
When the government tried to take choice away from Americans, they ended up causing the very thing they sought to prevent—an outbreak which threatens everyone.
That was yesterday.
Today, the virus continues to spread, the dead attack the living, and only a few lucky souls are immune.
After escaping from the hospital, Buck and his friends find the infection has spread much further than they anticipated. Their families are in danger, and a vicious hunter is on their trail.
Jesse struggles to complete the request of a dying man, "Get this to the CDC," but a stop to refuel his plane puts him right back in danger.
A new group of survivors emerge in Tuscaloosa. They’ve got the skills and the ammo, but will they be able to stem the tide rushing at them?
Zombies that can think and plan. New mutations guaranteed to propagate the species. And a new front, as a cruise ship receives a dusting of virus-laden debris.

Disclaimer: I got an ARC of this book in exchange for a review.
I was a big fan of book 1 and book 2 is even better. I will say I loved the cameo I made in the story. Despite taking a long time to read, I enjoyed it. I was kept guessing from beginning to end. If you haven't read book 1, I suggest you read it. The crazy part about this story... It's totally plausible. This is a book that deserves a re-read along with book 2.
This novel is an excellent sequel to Rob Horner's novel, "Night Zero." You'll definitely want to read his excellent first book in the series to get your bearings in this one. In a time, when many readers take "The Walking Dead" style zombies for granted, Rob amps up the powers of his zombies in ominous ways that make sense. His medical background helps him provide excellent information on how his zombie contagion spreads. If you are a fan of the zombie genre, you'll love the this book. This book makes zombies dangerous again! Great stuff!
A solid sequel to Night Zero! Once again, I found myself laughing out loud at some of the descriptions, then immediately at the edge of my seat thereafter. The author does an incredible job weaving multiple threads and points of view together, that there’s far more than just a zombie apocalypse here, and there truly is something for everyone. Still, don’t read with a sick stomach, but definitely recommended!
This is a fantastic second installment, detailing the spread, and how it affects several different individuals, as well as the government. I like the added additions of the variety of levels within the Zombie boards themselves.
I truly enjoyed the storyline and the characters were entertaining. I like how the book follows how things would be if a real zombie apocalypse happened. Cannot wait for the next book
While some people didn't like the shorter parts for previous characters I really enjoyed new characters having bigger parts in this book. It is a fresh take on zombie books and I am excited for the next one to come out.
I loved the first book and couldn't wait to read the second. What a great story! Characters well fleshed out and easy to sympathize with. Hope book 3 comes out soon!
