Another volume in this slice of life series that is "Hokuou Kizoku to Moukinzuma no Yukiguni Karigurashi" or "The Snow Country Hunting Life of the Northern Nobleman and the Raptor Wife".
There is a new character in the first half of this volume who's a former comrade-in-arms of the wife. Although the character provides a new POV for the reader in to the harsh but beautiful life in the sub-arctic wilderness, it is a distraction from the true purpose of this series, the post-marriage (conditional) romance of the two main characters, the nobleman and the wife.
It redeems itself in the second half. It is heartwarming to see their relationship grow day by day.

Leer este manga es una delicia y no solo por la historia de amor que se va cocinando poco a poco entre los protagonistas, también por la parte costumbrista que me trae a la memoria muchas de las costumbres del pueblo de mis padres en lo que se refiere a hacer comida y conservarla.
Ya ha pasado medio año desde que Sieg y Ritz comenzaron esta aventura de un año, el matrimonio de prueba, y las cosas van a mejor. Sieg está cada vez más en su salsa y se va ganando la confianza de la gente del pueblo y Ritz empieza a pensar en el futuro más allá de ese año de prueba que tiene pactado, quiere toda una vida al lado de Sieg. Me gusta la relación que tienen porque es sana y va surgiendo el amor con el tiempo.
En este segundo volumen también conoceremos la razón por la que Aina no se mezcla mucho con los extranjeros, aparece un compañero del ejercito de Sieg que lo pondrá todo patas arriba y con la llegada de la primavera vuelven los turistas y hay más trabajo que nunca.
Ya lo dije en la reseña del volumen 1, este manga me sorprendió para bien y se ha ganado un hueco en mi corazón. Es de esas historias que pasan desapercibidas pero que esconden algo muy bonito y espero que le deis una oportunidad.

Volvemos con el segundo tomo! Me ha gustado más que el primero, la relación que se está creando entre Ritz y Sieg es preciosa, confían el uno en el otro y están creando unos lazos hermosos.
La vida en el poblado parece que va volviéndose más ajetreada al empezar la primavera, las tiendas están trabajando muy duro para poder tener material a la venta y, unido a una visita inesperada, hará que no se puedan aburrir.
Tiene algunas escenas que me han hecho soltar una carcajada, estoy deseando saber como sigue esta aventura helada ❤️

Este manga se va a colocar en mis favoritos de entre todos los géneros junto a Arte de Kei Ohkubo, simplemente, es mi rollo.
Historia, cultura, amor, amistades, estilo de vida, perseverancia... Es muy completo, está muy bien hecho y es simplemente algo que te deja el corazón calentito.
He de decir que últimamente los títulos de Kitsune me están sorprendiendo demasiado y que tienen simplemente un catálogo de la hostia.

後記的小說中描寫琪可琳黛的眼神很有靈性, 可惜漫畫反而看不出來欸. 感覺小說應該比較厲害...

A cute continuation of our slice-of-life series with Rits and his 'wife', Sieg as they make it through the polar night and into spring. With the new season comes new surprises! Emmerich, a former military companion of Sieg's, joins them in the frozen north. Is this a new rival for Rits? And Aina ends up meeting him too, just how will all this play out?

There's still a bit of tension as Rits and Sieg figure out their relationship. It's a 'fake' marriage, in a way, but the whole point was to see if they could make it the real thing. Six months have passed and Rits is getting antsy, knowing for sure how he feels, but Sieg's feelings are still up in the air.
Emmerich is an adorable character, and while the attempted 'rival' bit was obviously not going to work out (I don't really deem that a spoiler, like come on y'all), I did love the jokes that came with it. Sieg's and his relationship is really cute and endearing. And it was interesting to see Rits' reaction to another side of Sieg's personality.
We also got to explore more with life up North, the culture, customs, and practices for their survival and daily life through Emmerich as well instead of just Sieg. I like that the story, while fiction, still includes actual real bits from Scandinavian cultures and what life is actually life in such a harsh environment.
Aina gets in the mess too as she and Emmerich end up meeting. With her ingrained social teachings of "outsider = bad", she struggles to feel sympathy for him, not to mention her difficulties at home with her family in general. We get to know Aina a little more here which was nice.
I did feel like Emmerich's for her was um, insanely fast, to say the least. I'm not sure if that was just the writing though, as the passage of time is pretty unclear in this series so far. (Their trial marriage is for a year, and it was already six months of the way through in the first volume?? Felt a little anti-climatic there.)
The pace overall with the story is VERY slow-going. That seems to be a bit of the point though, given the circumstances of where/how the characters are living. I do like some of the backstory, but wish there was more. We know quite a bit about Sieg, and I felt quite emotionally connected with Emmerich from this volume, but I'd love to see more of a dive into Rits. (And it'd be nice to learn more about the Lango family and their culture/history too. It's only touched on with the extras in this volume, but I'd love more actual main-story content for them.)
As before, the art is lovely! The details this artist puts in is crazy to me, they are clearly very dedicated. Lots of eye-candy for sure! (The shop extra at the back of the book, with the layout of the old lady's store was INSANE. 10/10 like wow.)
In any case, it's a cute story, a slow burn for sure. I'm curious to see where it goes.

Un second tome qui tente un peu de tension avec l’arrivée d’un potentiel rival pour Ritz mais on comprend vite que ce trope est plutôt initié pour en apprendre plus sur Sieg.
Du coup, ça reste très mignon, plein de bons sentiments, sans tension, très feel good.
S’il y avait un reproche à faire, c’est que le récit n’est jamais raconté du point de vue de Sieg, du coup on n’est jamais dans sa tête et ça manque un peu.

Les petites scènes du quotidien se poursuivent. L'arrivée d'un ex-collègue de Sieg rajoute du dynamisme à l'histoire et on en apprend davantage sur elle. Le point de vue de Ritz est suffisamment développé, mais on ne sait pas trop ce que pense Sieg, ça manque.
