A Killer Cruise... When a dangerous killer disables a luxury liner in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, three unlikely companions face the demons of their pasts in order to survive. Jonathan Prior , former Detective Inspector, is now Head of Security aboard the Ianus. He's determined to keep his passengers safe, but is still haunted by the case that ended his career. Dr. Christine Kane , former Criminal Psychologist and somewhat of an unwilling celebrity, is onboard to escape the outside world and memories of losing her sister. But when the killer targets her, she'll have to use all of her skills to stay alive. Kelly Livingstone , celebrated Visual Artist, is looking for inspiration and affection. But when she becomes a suspect in the murders, she'll have to fight to clear her name. With the clock ticking, they must work together to stop the killer if any of them have any chance of escaping this trip alive. A gripping thriller with phrenetic pace and a real sense of the panic of containment, Splintered will keep you hooked until the last page.
For a debut novel this is a blockbuster. I do think the description of 'a psychological thriller' was misplaced, most of the psychology being in the form of self-analysis and conversation. For me this is a pure blood-fest, and as such a winner, I can easily see this as a late night horror film on my TV, it has all the elements. A disabled cruise ship on the high seas, a mysterious cold-hearted killer out for blood and torture and finally the shock for the reader at the end. It's a MUST READ!
I really like this fast-paced crime thriller...but then, I would! I wrote it!
So, I thought I might post some reviews from other readers instead:

As Hard To Put Down as a Baldacci June 24, 2012 By G. Corry Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
Just finished reading this book and my overall impression was that it’s been impossible to stop reading it.
Each turn of the page gave me the same feelings I’d have reading the latest David Baldacci, a feeling of ‘I’ll read another couple of pages’, then a couple more then a couple more, and all of a sudden what was supposed to be a quick 5 minute read has ended up with me sitting there reading this book for an hour or two without interruption.
I couldn’t find a place in the story that made me think ‘ok, I’ll pause here for a break’, I just wanted to keep reading to find out what happened next.
The author is certainly a skilled storyteller and I hope to see more of her work on Amazon in the near future. ‘Splintered’ is probably the best story I’ve read this year. Well done Miss Harris.
