Twenty one years ago, Evander Laun and Natalia Havashire went on the air throughout the world on almost every news channel simultaneously, to reveal to the human race that Elves walked among us. It is the most-watched historical event in modern times.
Killishia Renner, Kia, after recently discovering she was an Elf too, along with the rest of the world when she Elfed on live television, still hasn't had time time to catch her breath.
After a successful vote on her proposals in the International Elf Council, Killishia is whisked off to celebrate with Tana Laun and her best friend Lisa for a girls day out, ditching their protective details. Everything goes pear shaped when Kia is abducted in an alley behind a clothing boutique.
As Tana and the Elf Council search for Killishia, clues point toward the Laramer Bloc of Aelftus hating countries in Africa. The war between the Bloc and the Aelftus is reignited with a vengeance as the Riicathi lead the charge to liberate their Minya.

This book starts off from Tanya's viewpoint, so I was just a little bit thrown off. But Erik has done his usual masterful job crafting a story that I had trouble putting down so that I could get sleep. Killy is in the worst trouble she's ever faced. It got bad enough that I thought that Tanya was telling the story because Kilishia couldn't. Curse you Erik Schubach! You got me crying, AGAIN! Bravo sir. Bravo!
Sadly I just finished the last book in the series and yes the last book was just as good as the first book. I hope that this is not the last book and the author is planning on writing a lot more. This is a great series and if you're reading some reviews before you buy let me save you some time and just get the first book and start reading I'm sure you will enjoy this series as much as I did..
The series had started to get stale with the last book, so it was great to have this book come out in spades. A shorter book it seems while you read it was nice to have the first half written from the view of TAna while the second reverted back to Kia. More action this time, we had a kidnapping, a war, and an escape to fill out an exciting addition to the series. Secrets come out, a surprise Elfing, some wrongs put to right, and this on top of the action makes it worth the read. Recommended.
I nice, if somewhat short story, but I didn’t particularly like the way it was structured. The first chapter in the book starts with something that happens much later in the story, with the next half a dozen chapters explaining how they got into this situation. The story is first told from Tanny’s perspective, then it is told again, but from Killy’s view point. If possible I would have given 3.5 stars.
A really fitting end t an excellent series. When I say fitting end I mean in all ways - read the book to find out what I mean The action sequences were really well done and the story did not suffer from some of the over done geekiness that some of the other volumes had. Good to see Tana's POV for a change - she is probably my favorite character in the series. As always Erik Schubach delivers and I recommend all of his books
The saga continues, from a different viewpoint. Good plot, good characters, although some of the baddies were a little cartoonish, and several typos. Worth it though, and now I'm going to buy the next one in the series.
