I love DK’s writing so much. I ALWAYS have a book hangover whenever I finish one of her stories. If you’ve read her before, you’ll love this. It ties things up nicely. But there’s plenty of adventures, etc…as the story moves along. And it’s not just Nor’s & Livvy’s story. It’s lovely because it pulls together & defines that it’s really the origin story for the Campbell’s as a whole. DK brings more Campbell’s into the timeline; some new ones & some old/honorary favs. And just really brings it all together. Does it answer every question? Probably not. But it does answer a lot. And it also sets things up to let us know the Campbell’s are still going strong. (So she’s still writing) One of the things I like best of these books, is I feel like I’m really there with the characters. She she focuses on the things that I think we would focus on, (because yes, as a woman bathroom issues would suddenly become a major deal compared to now.) And just the general safety of being a woman in that time. I think DK does a great job of really capturing the feelings of her characters. Thus her success. Now I’m gonna go nurse my book hangover by rereading Karrie & the Rockstar. 😉
Based on the first two books of the series, I expected much more of Nor and Livvy, but a whole lot of their story was taken up by Artair, a new character and a distant relative of Nor’s. Artair was hard to take, he’s brash and arrogant but his heart was in the right place. I just felt like Artair and his quest of finding his lady love usurped most of the story from Nor and Livvy. Still, there was some exciting moments with our main couple as they fumbled their way through learning about the perils of time travel, especially the consequences of looping, and there was a couple of cameo appearances from Magnus and Kate’s gang, which almost made up for the time spent on Artair. Hopefully Nor and Livvy will get another book that will spend more time with them as they deserve.
This was well worth waiting for the story of Nor , Livvy, Artair, and Gwynedd was truly amazing , the best part of the book was when Nor killed the awful person Johnne Campbell . Love and patience is worth waiting for and this is what all time travelers need to do. Seeing how they accomplished their goals was truly awesome . I can't wait until the next book comes out to see how Kaitlyn and Magnus is doing . I recommend this book with a5 Stars review
Holy moly I love these stories! Her characters feel like family as you read and get to know them. You root for them, grieve with them, laugh with and at them, and jump for joy with them - caring about the characters is always the mark of a well-written tale in my opinion (along with excellent writing style and plots). Thank you for happily ever afters and juicy, on-the-edge-of-your-seat tangents, as always. So happy to have stumbled into this world a few years back. Read her books people, you won’t be disappointed.
So this might be my favorite. I know I say that with every book, but D. Knightley just keeps getting better. I’m so glad I stumbled into the world of Kaitlyn and Magnus years ago. I love this new series so so so much. Nor and Livvy are a perfect couple, yet the introduction of Artair leaves me begging for his very own series. And you throw in a little cameo of well loved KATH characters and you have the perfect recipe for love, romance, excitement, and of course…. Hot guys in Kilts. Well done. I loved it !!!
Diana Knightley has done it again! This is the third installment in Nor and Livvy’s story. We got to see more of the issues they have with time travel. We also got to touch base with the gang from the Kaitlyn and the Highlander series. This edition, like the others, had all the feels: Excitement, love, a little anxiety, and my favorite humor. Diana comes up with the best laugh out loud one liners of any author I’ve read. This book is not a stand alone and I highly recommend this series!
This is the 2nd series I've read from Diana Knightley and I'm as blown away as I am with her Kaitlyn and the Highlander series. I'm patiently..not.... waiting for book 20 to released in September. Now, I am "so so so" 😉 hopeful there will be more stories to come for the "Rules of Time Travel". Thank you Diana for these amazing stories and wonderful characters that I would love to know as friends. Now, as I've been a bit neglectful of my household duties, I guess I'll have to go wash some dishes or, something! 🤭 🫶
Nor and Livvy are back again trying to keep everything together and in comes Artair who inadvertently causes chaos with his charm and boy was this a shock just when you think yay you get jerked back and things go awry which is a nice way of saying it’s another suspenseful and wonderful story and loved the little bits of Magnus and Kaitlyn and the gang added in. A MUST READ for anyone who loves a great love story
This series is a heart breaking , heart expanding ,mind blowing example of love and friendship that defies time and space .Finding so many characters to fall in love with with is often a gamble . But every one of Diana Knightley's characters have such big personalities you can't help but want to meet them somewhere ,sometime ! Don't forget to read all the books from #1 . Its a wild ride !
I'm a tad biased....I love everything Diana Knightley writes. I liked this one because while it's a different series it weaves in the Kaitlyn and the Highlander family. In addition, it brings in another time traveler. Maybe Artair and Gwynedd will have their own series one day. I can't wait to find out.
This book has awesome epic sweeping romances and rock star good looking men and women in its characters. Amazingly brings past and future into the horizon of the here and now with vivid imagery and excellent character development.
Jumping from time to time started some loops. Never loop or you’ll have to use a bridge to fix it if you know you looped. If you loop some people don’t remember things.
The series was great! I couldn't stop reading until I was done. Good to read all the different centuries come together. Finding true love in a troubled time was hard. But if it to be, it will be. Thanks for a fast series and an enjoyable one.
I love this series. This book did not feel like it flowed as well as the previous books in this series. I still really enjoyed it and am looking forward to the next one.
I want more! So greatful that D K and her team can chrurn them out so quickly in the full scheme of things. Dedicated for life to these characters, they too are now part of my soul.
The progression of Nor and Light's relationship is something beautiful. My heart did ache for the way Notes duty against Johnne Campbell beat against him and tormented him so. He has so much on his shoulders but a wonder supportive family to help him. The inclusion of the KATH group was both surprising and yet not. I think my favorite part was Artair the bear.
