I read Part I for a doctoral research design class. This book has helpful suggestions for tracking ideas and research. The information is well organized and the flow charts and lists make it easy to follow. There are activities and Q&A from both authors throughout the chapters. I used Sage Publications online through my University Library to read Part I, which was convenient, and will revisit the remaining chapters once I am further into my program.
This is not an all-encompassing textbook. It gives a basic structure for the proposal design but does not go in depth on every option. This is not a fault, as the authors limit the book’s scope and provide recommendations for additional reading. As a scholar at the beginning of my doctoral research, this has been a relevant text.
I liked this. Suggestions- go to doctoralnet dot com as suggested- great resource The checklists with questions were helpful I liked the templates as well to as a guide States why, and what to include. Appreciate the work that went into this to help me to complete mine.
