As Christmas approaches, Presley finds herself juggling a flurry of wreaths, arrangements, and mistletoe. But when the boyfriend of her most dedicated employee disappears without a trace, the yuletide joy turns to worry. Presley embarks on a quest to locate the missing boyfriend, with her faithful companions Bella and quirky pet duck Topknot by her side.
As the clock ticks towards Christmas, Presley races against time to solve the mystery and ensure the festive season remains merry for all. Can she find the missing man or has something more sinister happened?
As a child, L.C. thought she would either be a truck driver (thanks to Jerry Reed in Smokey and the Bandit) or work at Taco Bell (her favorite restaurant as a child). As she grew older, she realized her talents lay in other areas, and for the last several years has been a college professor teaching business and English.
Through all her career choices, she has continued to have a passion for writing stemming from childhood, where, as an only child, she developed a vivid imagination.
She is proud of her vast experiences in life from barrel racing, to being on the dance team for a semi-pro basketball team, to being a mom of 2 amazing kids.
She decided to follow her dream as an author in 2009 and has worked her way up to having 5 fans (maybe 6 now). She often tells her family and friends that no one is safe from his or her ventures slipping into her books. She lives in Indiana with her husband, kids and two very spoiled dogs.
L.C. previously published her cozy mysteries under Laina Turner.
This 4th book in this series is another excellent reading experience! I like this story especially because the newly weds have been married for a year they almost forgot it! The characters in these stories are entertaining! There's always definitely some one getting in trouble one way or another but the best part is that no matter what happens they are always great friends!!
Presley didn't find this body, but since it was the boyfriend of one of her employees, she had to find out what happened and who killed him. The characters are fun, the plot is straightforward, and the premise is making sure Presley's employee is safe and finding out what kind of person her boyfriend was. I definitely recommend this book.
