This book follows Mari (Marigold) and Damien. Both are familiar with one another through Elijah who is Mari’s brother. Mari is paying her way through university and of course that’s expensive so she decides to work anonymously on a cam girl type of site. One evening a man requests a video chat and of course she is absolutely shocked to recognise her older brothers best friend on the other side of the camera.

Eventually, Damien works out that it is in fact Mari that he has been talking to on the site the entire time and this is the start of the delicious forbidden and secret romance between these two👀

Damien also has a son Sammy and he is absolutely obsessed with Mari, and vice versa she adores him as if he were her own😭.

This book was the first I have read of this author and it was an enjoyable and spicy read🔥

ARC Review

I really enjoyed this book by Sharon- I love all of her books! They are always well written and I love the way her books flow, I am always into them from start to finish- this book was no exception!
I loved the premise of the story, with Marigold being attracted to her brother's older best friend, Damien. As far as Damien knows, Marigold is just his best friends cute, younger sister, however what he doesn't know is that she is also the girl he is signing on to chat with late at night. The banter and encounters online between these 2 are hot, but once it overflows to real life- wow! The chemistry between them is off the charts. I really enjoyed this story, and how things end up playing out. I highly recommend this book- great story with lots of off the charts steam! I think this one is Sharon's steamiest yet. Another great book!! Thank you for the advance copy.

4.5⭐️⭐️⭐️&3🌶️🌶️🌶️. I was kindly sent this ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review. This was my first age gap and single dad read. So I wasn’t really sure what to expect. Damien is a doctor and sexy as hell, so of course that makes the sexiness 1000% better 😏. He is an older man (38) with a 6 year old son who is totally adorable and I loved his cuteness. He’s definitely messed up by his past with his ex wife and he almost let this get in the way of his relationship with Mari. This made me so mad! Let me tell you I was screaming at the figurative man to get a grip! There was a lot of spice in the book, but each scene was unique and did add to their story so it wasn’t too repetitive which was great. I loved the ending too it was adorable. I guess the storyline was a little predictable but it was very well written and I definitely enjoyed the read. For the first half of the book especially I struggled to put it down! Thanks again Sharon and I look forward to reading more of these spicy stories!

Wow, this book I have no idea where to start with the review…I’ve never taken so many notes for a book…

So the first few chapters I was willing to put my reservations aside as I’ve read a few age gap romances recently I didn’t hate. But by chapter 14 I was startled to find out that the FMC (who went into seggs work to pay her bills…) has a brother, she’s very close with, that is a billionaire? Something should have tipped me off as she lives in her parent’s guest house…but she’s a cam girl for money?

Around 50% this moderately paced book seems to pull the breaks and finally around 65% the MCs hook up in a bathroom. Because that’s what the first half of the book felt like it was leading towards, as the book transitions from a novel (trying to have) substance to spicy.

Between 75% and 85% there is a whole lot of creative writing for the progression of the story. It requires a whole lot of suspension of belief if you have a tiniest grain of understanding of American geography, time zones, the passage of time, daylight…

At 88% I seriously had to question my life choices and why the heck I hadn’t DNF’ed the book before the FMC gushes about how sweet it is that Dude could use Google to figure out how to pour water on a tea bag (which he was perplexed by) and still only passed because he had 50/50 odds of steeping for the right length of time…

In the end, we have no idea if the FMC paid her tuition. He money woes ended when the seggs started.

Hot doctor & best friend’s sister forbidden liaison 5*
The author provided a good synopsis of this book, so I won’t do the same here. What was novel about the story is that real life had met an anonymous online connection. Marigold always nurtured an attraction for Damien, her brother’s best friend. She does not want to accept money from her family to cover her university fees, so she creates a saucy online presence. Damien isn’t ready for another relationship and turns to the internet to have some release from his sexual frustration. Unbeknownst to either of them, Damien becomes a ‘client’ and they develop a close online rapport. As it happens in life, all it takes is a momentary lapse of concentration for Marigold to cover her tracks and Damien realises the truth. This is a well-written, enjoyable, very steamy romance with an above-average storyline. After much angst and hurt, the reader is rewarded with a HEA. I am more than happy to recommend this book to others.

I usually love the single dad trope. Damien seemed a little too desperate, and Marigold seemed too childish. Marigold is also Damien's best friend's little sister. I didn't like Eli, Mari's bro, at all. He was hypocritical and controlling. I have a brother that is 8 years older than me and was never in my business the way Eli was in Mari's, so the sibling bff is a hard trope for me to relate to. Damien gets lonely and horny one night and decides to check out online sites similar to Only Fans. He finds this beautiful masked woman who makes him crazy. She sees his face and realizes it's Damien. He doesn't find her true identity until he remembers her nail polish and sees it. Then he outs her in front of her brother. Damien has a 5 year old son named Samuel who falls in love with Mari immediately. Damien is worried what will happen when he inevitably runs Mari off.

This book was a challenge for me. While I didn’t hate anything in the book, nothing stood out to me, from the characters to the plot. I did enjoy Marigold and how she stood up for herself however often found myself frustrated by the MMC and his hot and cold routine.

This book is also marketed as a single dad romance have a son Samuel, is more or less put in there is a plot device to make Marigold better and to emphasise how hard it is for Dr Gray to manage everything. He was often off the page with the grandmother and didn’t have a lot of significance to the overall flow of the novel.

Well this wasn’t a bad book by any means and was a nice quick easy read, it is not my favourite and could’ve been a little better with more banter and a more in-depth plot.

Damien Gray is welcome to destroy my heart any time he wants. And then, I’m going to thank him for it. Like a good girl. This sweet man had his heart stomped all over. So, he focuses on his career and son. Marigold is just trying to get through law school, and trying not to drown in money troubles. And since she doesn’t want to worry her family, she does what she needs to do. But when that leads to her brother’s best friend finding out what that entails…things get yummier! No matter how closed off Damien is, he has such a soft spot for Marigold. And for his son, and his best friend. I loved the way Marigold instantly clicked with Samuel. And it was obviously important to Damien, because that alone changes everything. No matter how scared they both are, they know it’s 50/50 and all or nothing. The worst kind of drama is when OTHER characters feed unnecessary doubt into already skittish hearts. And it hurt MY heart to see Damien and Marigold question themselves, and each other! But it was needed and necessary for them to truly move forth together.

Doctor Damien Gray was destroyed when his ex-wife abandoned him and their young son, Samuel. Since the divorce last year, Damien has been a workaholic only coming up for air to take care of Samuel. He doesn’t smile, can’t sleep, and is fearful of women’s intentions. Since he’s single, gorgeous, and rich, he has sadly become a chick magnet! Damien would like to get out a little but only for one-night stands but he worries, it’s been a long time since he’s had sex and when you add in all his anger, can he even “rise” to the occasion? Maybe he should test his stamina. Where to go?
Marigold is midway to her law degree. She studies long and hard. Though her parents and her brother have plenty of money she wants to pay her own way and college ain’t cheap! Needing tuition money Marigold stumbles upon a job she can do in her home, in between classes and studying. This app allows her to “meet” and “talk” with clients. She can do as much sexual stuff as she is comfortable with… online... where she is safe… alone in her home. Marigold wears a mask to hide her identity. So far so good, she’s paying her tuition but her new client is so unlike the others. He is gorgeous, well built, and shy but commanding, a real dream come true until the camera angle goes a little too high and she sees his face…it’s her dream guy's face, Damien Gray’s face. Wow, she’s in lust.
Damien doesn’t yet know who he’s in lust with but when he finds out along with Marigold’s brother all hell breaks loose. Marigold is treading softly, Damien and Sammy have been hurt so badly and she loves them and it hurts to lose them. In the end, all works out and the ending is wonderful. I love the characters. Except for Damien’s ex-wife, there are no villains in the story. I especially loved little Sammy. Great story about finding your true love match and not letting them slip away. I think this is the spiciest book Sharon have ever written.

Ok the book as the usual of Sharon's books was really great and it was the spiciest.
I loved the chemistry between Mari and Damien and especially the chemistry between her and little Sammy he is the cutest little boy .
The only thing I have to say is that it was long because of the spice 🌶️ but who am I to complain .
so If this is your cup of tea you will definitely enjoy this book .

I love the trope combination of this book. I mean, doctor, single dad, age gap, plus brother's best friend. Honestly? And the book didn't disappoint.
In the first two books in this there were Mike and Alex, and these two were absolute playboys. But not Damien. He's the opposite. He is broken. He only lives for his son and work. He almost has no other fun in his life 🥺 I felt so extremely sorry for him. It broke my heart 💔
He's so broken, he creates an account for a cam smex app. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with these kinds of apps or websites. Just in this case, it was Damien's only way to get "in touch" with a woman.

Oh, I completely forgot the other trope I sooo loved in this book 😎 Secret identity. Because I don't think I need to say it, of course, he knows the cam girl, even though he doesn't know it. It's this "You’ve Got Mail" thing 🤩 I so love that.

I always love it when the non-parent has a special connection with the kid. And oh, did Mari and Samuel have one 😍 Samuel is obsessed with Mari, even more than his dad 😎

This is the last book in this series. Luckily, there are more books by Sharon, and I'll definitely read some of them this year 😁

Okay, Sharon. You brought the steam in this one!

Marigold (Mari, Goldie) is the little sister of Doctor Damien Gray's best friend Elijah. As a single dad, Damien's life is work and his kid. He is lonely so he signs up for cam girl site and comes across WildWest25(Mari). She finds out first that it's her brothers best friend and keeps this secret to her self. These two create a relationship online and then one evening, he figures out it is Marigold.

These two cannot stay away from each other so they then decide to keep their relationship a secret. Even though, Elijah has told them both ABOSOLUTLY NOT. But whoever listens to their brother or best friend when told they cannot date/see someone?!

Damien was a workaholic and lonely. He didn't want to let anyone in because of his ex wife. He just wanted to worry about his son but there was just something about Mari. Not only did Damien like Mari but also his son who Mari formed an adorable relationship with.

I enjoyed Mari. I enjoyed her finding her backbone, confidence and putting her foot down when necessary when it came to her feelings. She loved hard and she deserved this back.

Single dad, age gap, brother's best friend. All the tropes are here. Marigold and Damien are attracted to each other. Elijah is Marigold's overprotective brother and friends with Damien. Elijah helped Damien through his divorce where his ex left him and their adorable son Samuel. Prompted by friends to get back into the dating scene, Damien reluctantly joins a website first. He ends up finding a masked woman who intrigues him. He realizes shortly after that it's Marigold. Marigold knows and wants to tell him, but he confronts her about it first. She's working there to pay for law school. They have undeniable chemistry and Elijah busts them. Unwilling to stay away, they keep it secret for the time being. They get busted again and Damien ends things. They're both miserable until Damien admits his feelings to Elijah. Elijah reluctantly okays it and helps Damien talk to Marigold. Happily ever after activated. Both MCs were likeable, even though Damien's hang ups thanks to his ex were starting to get annoying. Clara is a good best friend and Samuel steals every scene he's in.

Marigold has been doing a cam girl job to help pay her expenses for college. Yet when she gets this one client, he draws her in and she can't wait to see him again. Yet when one online encounter accidentally reveals who he is Mari is stunned. Its not long before Damien figures out that Mari is his cam girl. They try not to give into their attraction but soon its all they want. Can they find a way to be together? Will her brother cause problems between them?

This is a steamy story that will hook you in from the first chapter on. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

Damien and Marigold were great together.
He was closed off to love since his wife left him. She always rushed into love and was disappointed when a guy didn't feel as much as she did. They met anonymously online and they both were instantly attracted to each other. Marigold quickly found out that he was her brother's best friend,13 years older, who she had always had a crush on. When Damien found out, he was angry she had lied to him, feeling like she was manipulating him. Cue the protective older brother who tries to keep them apart.
But Damien finally figured out what was important, and decided to finally fight for her. He was actually pretty romantic sometimes. And his son Sammy was a cute character.

I thoroughly enjoyed this latest one from Sharon Woods, I loved getting to know Damien and Marigold throughout this book. They just fit together so well and I think they both lacked some confidence at the start of the book and I liked that they helped each other to become more confident in themselves. Some excellent spicy scenes throughout, i really enjoyed the start of there relationship when they met online. There was definitely some ups and downs to their relationship but it was worth it to see them get there HEA 😊 and little Sammy was such an adorable little boy and I loved how Marigold instantly loved him no matter what. Definitely one I would recommend and am looking forward to more books from Sharon 😊

Their chemistry was undeniable and they wanted to explore it, however the brother did not want that to happen.

This is a book filled with complicated family relationships, past trauma, and working through personal demons. I enjoyed the exploration of the relationship, the connection between Mari and Sammy, and of course a good HEA.

This is the third book of Chicago Doctors series written by Sharon Woods. What an amazing read. We are introduced to Dr Damien Gray and Marigold. Damien is a single father recently divorced work acholic. He doesn't have time until finds an on line app where he can have sizzling encounters while keeping a secret identity. Until he shows his face and stuns Marigold. Marigold has been working for the on line app to pay her student loans. When they both recognized each other. It blows up because her brother finds out too. It was definitely drama. I was excited to see that Marigold crush on Damien blooms in to love. It's a great read an worth reading.

Very stilted, juvenile writing

No logic to a college student that lives in guest house of parents who are at least middle class and a wealthy brother, in law school having to do only fans porn on line to pay for school. If the parents are not paying tuition and the girl does not have a job how on earth do they think she's paying for it. MMC is 10 years older and a plastic surgeon but he has to work all the time and late hours. But the writing was also stilted and short, choppy sentences. Just does not flow well. Then she has no money but can go clubbing and spend money on drinks. Story is just odd and implausible.

I am big fan of this author. And another amazing read, Marigold has been in love with her brother's best friend. Damien Grey for a long time. [ Doctor Grey] but he does not see her like that. Damien is bringing his son up Samuel on his own as his wife left him. Then one day he bumps into Marigold and sees her. now Marigold does something online to earn money and one night. Its Damien who chats with her. they fall hard for each other. You will laugh and there a lot of emotion in this story will they get a happy ever after totally recommend this series.

Damien Gray is hot property, a single dad to Samuel after his ex wife Lucy walked out thank goodness he had his Mom, his work is full on with patients to deal with.
But one girl has her eye on the doctor and that's Marigold and she can't stop thinking about him he is her brother Elijah's best friend.
I loved everything about this book, such a beautiful love story, and so heart warming to read, and the sex is dynamic. so well written from the author that puts her heart and soul into every chapter.

OMG this book was so ORGASMIC that I think I died and went to heaven. Damien is one HOT doctor and Marigold knows just how to turn him on.
Damien is a single dad raising his son while working as a doctor. Marigold is trying to put herself through law school while doing a side job online. What is so special is how these two characters are together. This book is a HOT 🥵 10/10 in HEAT, ROMANCE & SEX. I will take Damien anytime.

This book met all my expectations to a T. I loved the relationship between the main couple, how the met, and how he found out who she was. Sammy was probably my favorite character, and I loved his relationship with the FMC. The only reason I'm not giving a 5 star is because I just wanted a little more. Maybe a little more information about the mom. I also wanted to see more of Sammy and his dad. Overall, it was a great book and I really enjoyed it.

Oh, my. So many feels for this book. I love books about grumpy hero, sunshiny heroines and cute kids. He's her brother's friend and his ex-wife left him and their son a year ago. She's his best friend's younger sister who has been burned by her past boyfriends. An accidental meeting will open up both of their eyes to a world of possibilities, but will they cave to outside pressures or forge their own path. Read this engaging story to learn if they find a happy ending together.

I love brother beat friend tropes. I loved how they secretly had the same feelings for each other but due to their past they couldn't accept it. It took headache and pain for them to both realize they completed eachother. Yes Elijah was pissed off causes that was his younger sister but he didn't thing Damien was ready. Damien needed to be honest with Elijah and himself. I wish the story was a little longer or an additional epilogue knowing what was said in the bonus scene.

DNF 26%- a lot of inconsistencies

I love the chemistry between the main characters, which is why there are 2 stars instead of 1. There were a lot of inconsistencies, like she said she was glad he didn't ask to hear her voice, but they had a conversation? She was playing a game with his son & seemed to want to make him feel comfortable, but Damien leaves the room & she jumps up to follow him out of the room. What about Sam? I feel like a kid would be like where are you going?

It was just a lot of small things that really took away from what was shaping up to be a good story for me.
