White Wolf #6

True Luna: The Final Battle

Rate this book
“I love you,” I told her. “I love you with my entire heart and soul.” She looked up at me and chuckled darkly. All I saw in her eyes was darkness. The color of her eyes that I loved so much was completely gone. “We’ve been through so much,” I said. “I am not letting this thing take you away from me. I am not letting it destroy us.” She remained silent and tilted her head a little. My heart was breaking inside my chest. My love wasn’t here. That thing took her place. “I love you,” I told her again. “I will never stop loving you.” In the final installment of The White Wolf Series, Sophia's family fights a desperate battle against the lingering darkness that refuses to leave Sophia’s body. They fought and won a battle, but now it is time to win the war. With time ticking away, they embark on a race against fate, desperate to find a way to get rid of the darkness once and for all. Will they find a way to get rid of the darkness before it’s too late? Will they succeed in banishing the darkness before it claims their most cherished treasure? Will the darkness take away the one person they all love the most? The answers lie in the final book of The White Wolf Series.

I read this on the AlphaNovel app. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Anyways, on the app, all six books are together as one long story, and labeled as three books, so I saved my review and start/end dates for the last book added to my read pile.

Now that disclaimers are out of the way…

Loved the story. Started hating all the “gulping” about 2/3 through. If the author ever decides to put this in an actual print book, please for the love of the moon goddess, just take out about 98% of the “gulps.” I promise it’ll be much stronger for it.

That said, I loved Emma’s story and all the hardships she had to overcome. And then when it transitioned into book two, or was it three?, we got fast forwarded version of their lives, I thought that was nicely done, getting to hear from all of them.

Technically book three - on the app (where Sophia and Hunter’s story starts) - could be a stand alone since the main characters tell their children the story of the first book, although, it’s more of a summary so you’d miss some details, but it’s not imperative to have for the final book.

[Outside of the gulps, my only real complaint is with the app itself and having to pay for chapters. I can’t spend more than $10/month, so while I’d normally have this whole story read in a few days, it’s taken me weeks. And just so annoying and inconvenient for my personal tastes. But again, that’s an app thing. I think these apps need to be fair to the authors AND the readers. Just offer the whole story for $20, regardless of word/chapter count, and give the authors a fair percentage. Unless it’s a special edition PRINT book I can physically hold in my hand and turn PAPER pages, I really think anything more than $10 for a book is too much, however, like I said, I’d be willing to slap down $20 if I can just get the whole thing from the get-go.]

The app limited my review to 300 words. Now that I know there are actually six books out there, some of the repetitiveness makes way more sense. Still, the gulping was excessive. It’s a wonder the characters didn’t belch every 5 minutes. And it’s the reason I took off a star. (You can’t even make the “gulps” into a drinking game. You’ll pass out or end up with alcohol poisoning before you made it through book, I’m guessing, three. But I did like the story line and plot.

I’d recommend it to anyone who likes werewolf stories as long as they can overlook the gulping. Oh, and spice was there, just not a lot, and I’d give it 🌶️🌶️🌶️ out of 5. My only other advice, don’t read it on the app. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Amazing series finale

Loved how full circle this final book made it for the entire family and everyone who had significance in their lives and their futures!

Emma is an amazing Luna and mother. She takes on the darkness for her family and it is quite intense. We get to see how strong and amazing she is over and over again. Her and Logan are sheer perfection and their love and dedication is written beautifully.

We also get updates on all our favorite characters and their mates & children. It's a fantastic ending to this series. These wolves will hold a soft spot in my heart and I look forward to reading more from Tessa. Happy Reading!!

"True Luna" is a captivating werewolf romance that masterfully blends heart-wrenching emotions, intense power struggles, and a touch of mystery. The story follows Emma Parker, an 18-year-old wolf who discovers that her fated mate is none other than Logan Carter, the Alpha of her pack, the Crescent Moon. However, her joy is short-lived when Logan rejects her in favor of a stronger she-wolf, leaving Emma heartbroken and vulnerable.

What makes this story stand out is Emma’s resilience. Despite the soul-crushing pain of rejection—a pain so severe it brings most wolves to their knees—Emma stands tall, refusing to let her suffering break her. Her strength and dignity make her a compelling protagonist, and you can’t help but root for her as she navigates the challenges thrown her way.

But Emma’s struggles don’t end with rejection. She soon learns that she’s no ordinary wolf, and her unique nature attracts dangerous enemies who will stop at nothing to use her for their own gain. The plot thickens with twists and turns, keeping you on the edge of your seat as Emma fights to survive and uncover the truth about herself.

The dynamic between Emma and Logan is both heartbreaking and intriguing. While Logan’s rejection is devastating, the story leaves you wondering if he’ll come to regret his decision and whether he’ll step up to protect Emma when she needs him most. The tension between them, coupled with the external threats, creates a perfect balance of romance, drama, and suspense.

As a reader on GoodNovel, I thoroughly enjoyed the seamless reading experience the platform offers. The interface is user-friendly, and the exclusive access to "True Luna" made it even more special. The story is well-paced, with Book Two picking up right after Chapter 96, diving deeper into the action and emotional stakes.

If you’re a fan of werewolf romances with strong heroines, complex relationships, and a dash of danger,"True Luna" is a must-read. It’s a story that will keep you hooked from the first chapter to the last, leaving you eager for more. Don’t miss out on this gripping tale of love, betrayal, and self-discovery—available exclusively on GoodNovel!

Nunca he leído un libro tan flojo.

This book series is an EXCELLENT reason why I HATE the algorithms on social media. They recommended the previous book via a different app so many times with 2 different scenes. The first scene (in the video words) had a fascinating concept of a rejected mate going to live in the human world and being found. The comment section had the first 3 chapters of the first book in the series. NOTE: they're not the same book. So i finish that book, somewhat enjoying the story, liking the main character, but hating all the spelling, grammar, and proofreading issues in the book, even though EVERY character is too flat. I kept reading, hoping that we'd get to the teaser. Then it didn't come. So I read the next book...and the next book...and the entire 6 book series. By the end, I continued hate reading through the atrocious writing hoping to get to the scene. SPOILER: it's not there. there is no scene where this Luna removes herself to the human world. If you're looking for that, prepare to be disappointed like me. If you're hoping the book series gets more interesting, sorry. At least this is the end. Though sadly, they leave it open ended enough that the tale can continue through any of the children and pups from the other couplings in the story.

After the first book, I found this one to be the most interesting. The culmination of the fight with darkness and the references to the first book was a full circle for me. Some of the arcs still felt unfulfilled like Alex and his mate, Andrew's character was mostly sidelined since book 3 onwards and it felt the character was forgotten somewhere in between. The chemistry between Alex and Sophia and the deep bond they shared as twins did shine through the whole series since the inception of the characters. I was not a big fan of Hunter as Sophia's mate. The character of hunter seemed the most possessive, red flag in the books. He does nothing but "She is mine!" , " I want her", " I need her". To my sensibilities, the character was not romantic or balanced. If I were to choose the mate for Sophia, I would have chosen a strong wolf with a good head on his shoulders like Jake or Andrew in contrast to her father and brother's personalities.

I was always hoping that there would be an arc to Anna's character since her sudden introduction in book 2 or 3. I was always intrigued by her backstory and the reason she stepped forward to help the wolves.

I cried, I sobbed, my heart broke. The first half of the book I just couldn’t stop reading, and I read until I fell asleep. The last few chapters, although I know you were trying to tie everything up, left me cold. Not enough explanation on Emma coming out of the nightmare she was living, and what she had to do with her brother. Just didn’t match the beginning. Then jumping ahead so many years left too much to the imagination and/or memory. And, IMHO, the mistakes in spelling, grammar, etc. took away from the book. Just too many mistakes. It was almost like you had a deadline and got sloppy and lost interest. You need a new proof reader.
I almost wish there was another book, almost.

After everything Emma has been through she will stop at nothing to protect her family, especially her kids. All she wanted was to help Sophia, and so she did the only thing she could do, took all the darkness away from Sophia and put it all in herself. Now it’s time for Emma to battle the darkness. After all it started with her and it will end with her. No matter the cost, only with her family surrounding while she stuck inside her own mind fighting battles of the past. She had to defeat the darkness once and for all, nothing and no one was going to stop her! Everyone deserves a happy ending, right? Such a great way to end a series.

all about True Luna

When I first read the introduction to this series I was hooked. Each chapter, each book got me diving into the book as if I was there, I could feel their pain, their happiness, the love they had for each other. I will read theses books again for sure, even though I know the ending. I would recommend theses books to anyone over the age of 18+. I must say they do get into some very intimate parts. Wow is all I can say on here. Lol
This series would make an excellent, amazing and entertaining movie that I would definitely watch.

While the story foundation is great, there was too much emphasis on the use of the word fuck in all its different variations, and the was way too much focus on the pornography aspect of this story.

There is also an over use of words like 'gulped' showing that the writer may not have had a understanding of the word.

In all, the story line itself was great, and it was a fun read. Once you got past the land mines of sex and overuse of some words.

Logan was my Achilles heel...

When Logan broke, so did I... I wanted everybody to be killed by the darkness until Emma took it, and it broke Logan. Alls well, that ends well, and Alex finally got a mate. He was so high strung he needed to get laid.
What a roller coaster...happy, I read the series!

Whole series

I, of course, read full series. Never ending problems gets kinda annoying but also makes you want to see what happens. The last couple of book are about the kids, so it is almost a must to read for you know who is whom and what kid(s) belong to who.
I enjoyed the series.

Fantastic final book to this series!

What wouldn't a mother do for her daughter to protect her and allow her to have happiness in her life. Ask any mother and she will tell you anything and everything that she possibly can do. You will have to read this book to find out what Emma was willing to do and if it worked or not. It is a really great story.

Best book series

Book 6, was great and hard to put down. A little disappointed that editing was done a little sloppy. Spelling errors, name errors and even the mind-links and talking with their wolves showcased differently as in all 5 books. Didn't explain what happened to Anna. But overall highly recommend the series.

Good Storyline

The storyline is good; however, it is written like someone trying to meet a minimum word count for a college course. Reading the same thing written in different ways is exhausting and boring. If you can make it through that, this is a good story. I did expect the darkness to be more than what it is.
I will still recommend this.

Repetition

After the second book it got harder to read.
Hair touching, back rubbing, " I love you" just repeatedly. It was like rereading on every page. I liked the first book, but after that it just got harder and harder to continue reading.
They need more action less "love and pain"

Love the story line, runs throughout the six books. Only issue is yet again the proofreading. Please someone do it better. You can have a name spelt different it’s either Sophia or Sophie can’t be both.

Too much foul language

The f-bomb was used excessively at least 2 times on every page. I read through using replacement words and none were vulgar, it read better in my opinion. You are hooked after 2 pages. The storyline is great, and the flow through all 6 books was seamless.
