This delightful little story teaches children to follow their dreams, stay passionate, and to not listen to the negativity in your life. A young grape wants to be something he was told he was not meant for but decides to go for it anyways. His hard work, trust in himself and determination pays off. I absolutely loved all the puns! They were grape. There's also a touch of bullying in here which is good to talk about however, I feel if we're going to bring up bullies, we should be teaching them how to handle it rather than just telling them to 'ignore the bully' which we all know does not work. I also felt it was abruptly ended. This is the nature with children's books of course however this one felt... incomplete.

This book is hilarious for both kids and adults. My nine year old granddaughter has read it twice in two days and we still talk and laugh about it. Burt Grapington must select a career that is appropriate for grapes. He is too young to be wine, and he doesn't want to be medicine and sit in a dark bottle in the bathroom. He wants to attend the prestigious art school, Jujuyard, to be a dancer, a career designated for tall, slender bananas. He must survive bullying and an audition to see if his dream will come true. Get this book, even if you don't have kids around.

lovely children’s book with a good lesson

This book was easy to read with a great message. A metaphor that is used throughout the book in the finest fashion. Looking forward to the next book in this series!

Thd only thing I didn't like was that he kept calling it grape school when other fruits went there too. Wished it was called just school or something else. Love his comedy too!
