For all Seasons #1 é perfeito)
"I never cared for Metropolis much, can't see the horizon unless you're flying over it. Maybe that's why Clark chose to settle there after all."
GAGGED. Hearing the early story of superman through the narration of his father was such a heartwarming start to a beautifully illustrated comic. Once again, thick ass neck, but the scene of Clark and Johnathan watching the sunset one last time honestly made me a little teary eyed and I rock with it HEAVILY.
I honestly love how Clark's characterized in this! I remember hearing someone say Superman's like everyone else and has the same issues as us but just ten times bigger, and this reminds me of that except less on his issues and more him being a normal guy. The tone of the story is melancholic, and it's only emphasized by the art style and coloring, which are simple yet expressive and incredibly...? beautiful, I think it's that simple. It's beautiful. This story manages to make and already likeable character even more endearing, alongside making the world he lives in beautiful too. I really love this man.
This is a Superman character that I can get behind, kinda like the character from Lois & Clark TV series. TGTBT, but better than the somber and not caring for humanity character in MoS. The "I could have done more" guy.
But... the interaction between Clark-Lois-Luthor in this edition is kinda like from the Lois & Clark TV series, too.
My favorite Superman comic I’ve read so far by a long shot. The gorgeous illustrations, the melancholic mood and unique narration, a timeless story handled with subtlety, absolute banger lines like “thanks, my mom made it for me”😭 this single issue genuinely made me laugh out loud and feel emotional more than all of the other Superman comics I’ve read so far combined
I really like how this focused on Clark’s altruism, and humanity. Scared of the future and what’s to come. But also just a person who wants to do his best. I can’t wait to see the rest of this comic.
