B.L. Brown is a writer of paranormal romance, urban fantasy, and fantasy. She loves a good slow burn but recognizes that sometimes two characters collide with explosive chemistry that must be acknowledged. And boy, is it fun to read.

This anthology grabbed my attention from the first story and didn't let go. The spice was so good, and the monsters were hot and loveable, as always. I've come to expect that from the monster romance community and I'm never disappointed. Tails and tentacles just do it better.
Each story was short, and hot enough to have me squirming at my desk at work. A few had a little more plot than others and I'd be interested to see where some of these characters end up.
I highly recommend this collection, it was a great palette cleanser and it's a quick read when you need a smutty little pick-me-up. It brought a few more authors to my notice that I might otherwise have overlooked, as well. Hopefully, I'll find more books just like this one!.

Monster Summer Lovin’

This anthology brings together nine great short stories set in the summer, of monsters and humans and love in all its forms.
In Inter dimensional Love Song by T M Hawke, Mal (fiend, think demon but with extra tails) and Julian first couple of meetings are considered irritations, but these two grow on each other, and their romance was really quite sweet (except when they bring the heat!).
Painter and Muse by Kel Bruem finds Shampa as the overnight guard of an art museum, longing to paint and having to monitor all the rooms, when a new statue gives her pause. I loved how dreamy and perfect the romance was between Shampa and Rodin (gargoyle).
The Final Campfire by Alexis L Carroll is short and sweet with a spin - on the last night at camp, Sasha turns into a werewolf in front of her crush Tyson. This story was a perfect little monster-new adult romance.
West of New Braunfels, 1881 by Graham King pairs a injures outlaw woman with a female who is… more. Their interaction was so hot, the church was scorched and the ending was absolute perfection.
In Lost and Faoladh by Roselynn Hunt, Lillian is lost on a hike - when Flynn finds her, she’s relaxing and distracting herself with a moan of pleasure. This one was darn hot, fast paced, snarky and fun.
Karen and The Beast by Molly James finds Karen, a staffer in Washington, up against werewolf bros and sinkholes. This little tidbit feels like just the start of Karen and Gary’s story - I’d love to read more!
In Isla de Plumas by Lee Hill, Malcolm is in the crow’s nest of a pirate ship when she spies Ilsa de Plumas. A mysterious storm and some eery singing later, and Malcom gets the freedom to fly that she’s always wanted. This story was an unexpected delight.
A Sweltering Season of Stone by T.A. Powys introduces a librarian to her library’s caretaker, the feline gargoyle that guards the front stairs. Their interactions take a decidedly spicy turn… a fun and spicy read.
This One Time at Band Camp by B.L. Brown brings together Max and Rumble, a faun, in a tryst that exceeds expectations. A perfect conclusion to this anthology.
Monster love and summer lovin are a perfect combination - I loved all the short stories in this book, all perfect for a quick bit of summer heat.

"I thought I banished you!”
“You did,” said the fiend. “Whoops?”

I loved this anthology. It was such a fun collection of monster romances. I may have wanted to read it once I saw the cover, rather than see what it was about, but I'm so glad I did. The authors are all new to me and each story was a lot of fun and the monsters all varied.

"Interdimensional Love Song" was one of my favorites because I was quick to fall in love with Mal and Julian and they were adorable together. Their chemistry was hot. The ending was abrupt and I will definitely be looking for more of T.M. Hawke's work.

The "Painter and the Muse" gargoyle romance was super sweet.

"This One Time at Band Camp" by BL Brown was really fun as Mac finally met her creature in the woods- a fawn named Ramble.

It was fun discovering what each monster and pairing was as I read.

Definitely check out this anthology! 5 stars.

I appreciated that the monsters were actually monstrous and not just re-skinned humans, and while some of the stories were not super well written, I had a good time reading these and I enjoyed the creativity. Especially enjoyed the part about the mineral water.
