The tale features a grumpy, struggling timber baron at fabled Lake Tahoe, and the feisty heroine from the future who unexpectedly lands (quite literally!) in his lap. Like the other books in Blue Moon series, it includes a splash of full moon magic and Victorian adventure. It can be read as a stand-alone.

quite good

While it could’ve used a good proofreader, the story was quite good, certainly entertaining. It kept my interest throughout and I was sorry to see it end.

The story grabs you right from th start. I usually don't read romance, but the author incorporates, adventure, history with romance. This is the third in the series and can't wait for next one. Great job.

At first I thought Miss Rice writes with too much detail, but as I got further into the story her avi descriptions proved right on. It was quite the tale and I enjoyed reading it. I basically couldn’t put it down wanting to find out what’s next. I will say I really liked the ending. 5
