Getting involved with a soccer player on my team is a strict no-go. But I met the team’s new star player two years ago, during one of the worst periods of my life, and he knows my secret.
My encounter with Lucas Wolfe was humiliating, not just because I had my first ever one night stand with one of his friends, I told him everything about why I was in London. Why not? I’d never see him again.
Then he’s loaned to the team where I just started my career as a Sports Physio, and my embarrassment around him quickly turns to something else. He’s hot as hell, charming, flirty and looks at me like he wants to devour me. And the feeling is mutual. But he’s hiding a secret too, one I will do anything to help him with, including stepping over a line I should never cross.
When that line blurs from casual to real feelings, I’m in big trouble, because the consequences of being found out… will cost me everything.
Chris Reilly has loved reading from as early as she can remember and would spend hours letting her imagination run wild. She was born and raised in Liverpool, UK and still lives in her favorite city with her son and their two cats.
She spent the majority of her 20’s/30’s reading thrillers, but made the switch to romance when she picked up a book called ‘Dirty Letters’ and loved it and the authors so much, she went looking for more. Reading Indie Romance became her passion and she was inspired by these amazing authors and decided to put her writing hobby to the test.
A 'Happily Ever After' is always the goal for her characters, but there may be a cliffhanger or two, and definitely some angsty situations to work through, occasionally a little bit dark, but oh so delicious.
Another great read from this versatile author who has an absolute talent for creating characters that you will love and invest in. It works as a stand alone novel but with that exciting hint that there might be more to come from these wonderful characters- you just know that you're going to want to read more. With some very saucy scenes and an engaging storyline it's an absolute must read.
You may know it, because you know me, I always go in blind into books. So I didn't know what to expect. And I definitely didn't expect that... 😱 It's soo good 🤩 Just alone the first 15% of the book 😯 They made the book sooo very "interesting" 🙈 I mean, yes, it was clear who the two MCs are, but still... Harlow's trouble with her (ex-) boyfriend. And all the things that happened then...
If you love sports romance, you may mostly read hockey and/or football. This book is neither of these. OK, it's football, but the European football, so it's soccer for all you Americans 😎 Yes, I'm European. Soccer is THE sport here. And still, I ignore it, as every other sport too, excited for sports romance books 🤣 I could start arguing what the real and better football is, but I let that for Harlow and Lucas 😁
The chemistry between Harlow and Lucas is 🤯 And oooh how jealous Lucas is 😎 Even or because of everything that happened... 🙈 But it's not a toxic jealousy! He is so cute 😍 I love these forbidden romance, secret relationship stories 😁 But it's not just that here, it's so much more.
This is currently the last book of this author I have. I've read all the books I got as 🆓🐝 I hope I can read more soon 🤞😁
Well what can I say… I didn’t think anything could come close to my favourite series from this author ‘Breakneck’ but ‘Off the line’ is up there too now.
I love how the author brings the characters alive in your imagination and she couldn’t have picked two better characters than the devilishly handsome professional footballer with washboard abs, Lucas and one of the hottest women Lucas had seen in ages, a PT instructor called Harlow.. What a match. I’m not going to give anything away to ruin your pleasure from reading this book other than it’s a must read. There are plenty of ups and downs (as always) like all relationships however you are really hoping these two get their HEA. And what a shocker at the end of the book. Thankfully the author lets us in to a secret in the ‘Acknowledgements and Thanks’ that there will be a second book. Please don’t keep us waiting too long.
Strangely enough this was my first football romance. I loved it! Harlow and Lucas are swoony. The story was fast paced, the characters were awesome, and the topic was interesting. I read this full-length book in a day, and I am actually busy re reading it, because it was just so dam good. I have to remember not to leave spoilers, but Chris really played with my emotions. I was sad, shocked, excited and so happy when I got the little tease about the next book at the end. Awesome story would love to read more from the author.
