A really interesting read filled with a growing passion of love and desire..
the way things work for the characters and the up and downs as the desire to love and be loved but then possibly feeling used and never feeling like you will accomplish a lifetime goal..
first read of this author and truly enjoyed the story..

Love this Book ♥️♥️

I really enjoyed reading this book. Madison and Sebastian’s story was very interesting and held my attention from the 1st page. The characters are well described and I love how they seem to come off the pages, they come to life! Well done 💖💖

MMC/FMC- Sebastian and Madison
POV- 1st person dual
Genre- Mafia Romance
Sub Genre- Bratva
Heat- not terribly hot. They do the things while she uses a lot of technical terms to describe it. It made it read very clinical and took me out of the moment. Yes, we know she’s a doctor, and it does seem in character that she would use medical terminology even during zexytime. But it’s not hot. The P word is also used, and it seemed oddly jarring when the heroine used it after the technical language.
Series? Y
Safety: technically, he’s cheating with her. And there’s dub con/non con. The book also ends in a cliffhanger and not a HEA.
Triggers- graphic violence, blood, explicit erotic content, dub con/non con (very blurry lines).
Tropes- Doctor/Patient, Surprise Baby, He Falls First
What I liked-I liked the cover. I didn’t much care for this book. There wasn’t anything particularly special about it. Nor was there anything particularly offensive. Even the title isn’t interesting; there are 13 other books with some variation of “Owned by the Mafia Boss” as the title.
What I didn’t- I’m not a fan of dub con/non con. But aside from that, I just don’t feel that this book adds anything to the Mafia Romance/Bratva genre. It’s not particularly original. And I see their attraction, but I’m not completely convinced about the love. When they get into serious arguments, Sebastian manipulates her and reveals how he manipulates others for her- or could manipulate them against her. Madison takes advantage of his actions; she is not as ethical as she’d like to think she is. I do understand her feelings about her career. Some might call it obsession, but she has been focused on this one goal for years and has put everything into it. And when things get rough, Sebastian threatens to take it away. This is not very loving. The zexytime scenes were not notable. As far as characters go, Orlov and his daughter are caricatures. And Sebastian doesn’t strike me as terribly smart in his dealings with his Boss, but then again, Madison is not very smart about the realities of being with a Bratva leader. And Sebastian and Madison are defined by their jobs. Her character is pretty much “I’m a surgeon”. His character is pretty much “I’m a powerful Bratva leader “. None of this book stood out, nor was it very interesting. There’s a cliffhanger, but I’m not sure I’d want to read the next/concluding book.
Verdict- this book was okay, I guess. It wasn’t particularly offensive, nor was the grammar/spelling incorrect except for a couple of typos. It certainly wasn’t awful. But the story just doesn’t stand out in a sea of Mafia Romances.

Owned by the Mafia Boss Book 1 by Laura Quinn. This is Sebastian Petrosky and Madison Graham's exciting, action-packed story. Sebastian is originally from Russia. He is a businessman who graduated from Cornell University at the top of his class with an MBA and is also crown prince of the Russian Mafia. Madison is a fourth-year medical student working at Bellevue and is close to graduating.
Sebastian was involved in a car accident and his car went down an embankment and hit a tree. The hydraulic scissors had to be used to get him out of the car. This is Sebastian and Madison's first meeting. He calls her his "angel". Sebastian asks Madison to hide his gun that he is being framed. Madison tells him that she threw the gun in the Hudson River. Each day in the hospital she checks on Sebastian to see how he is doing and he asks her to have dinner with him when he gets out. Ten days after Sebastian and Madison meet they have dinner at Che Pierre's. As they keep seeing each other their feelings grow stronger. Sebastian draws Madison into his world and she finds herself doing things she shouldn't. Madison has told Sebastian the most important thing to her is becoming a doctor. She is working hard to get the surgical residency at Presbyterian Hospital, the cardiothoracic training program.

This was an enjoyable read for me with straight-laced Madison meeting supposed business man but secretly Mafia man Sebastian and the murky mess that is their relationship.

At times I found the relationship between the two complicated and unclear. The author wrote in a way that made me question Sebastian’s motives throughout the book, wondering if he genuinely had feelings for Madison or if it was just a business transaction. At times it was like he could do no wrong and they really were in love but other times his facade dropped and we saw a more complex man who was manipulative and controlling. It really added to the idea of him being seen as the good guy in public but a mafia boss in the shadows. Madison also wasn’t always as appears, whilst she played the part of good girl surgeon there was also a darker side that seemed to feed off Sebastian and she was certainly fierce with even some of the top Mafia men warning Sebastian to not upset her lest he face her wrath.

It’s a fast paced love story with the book taking place over the space of 6 months and they move extremely fast during that time however I wouldn’t necessarily say it was a fast burn book on the spice side. Whilst there were some steamy scenes personally I found most of the focus was on the storyline of a mafia man wanting to bring in an outsider to his world and the problems that surrounded that.

Madison Works as a cardiologist doctor she still in residency , one day her shift was on the ambulance, they were called for a rescue operation in a car crash. A man was injured, she was asking him questions, while she noticed a gun on his jacket pocket .few minutes later a police car came . When they saw who he was they were going to take him. She stopped them and said no one is taking him his my patient, they said that he’s Sabastien Patroski the crown prince of Russian mafia crimes.
When they put him on the ambulance she took the gun and put it aside. When he spoke he told her to hide it for him.she said if they are right , I can’t trust everyone, he told her to google him.
She found nothing dirty about him.
She kept visiting him , and one night after finishing her shift she went to see him, he asked her when he’s out of the hospital he wanted to go for dinner with her.
She said she had no time because of her work but she accepted.
He took her at a Russian restaurant and he certainly sure that she would going to meet him again, he said next time I will cook for you.
They started dating but she was concerned about that police officer what said about his background.
The police came and threatened her career if she’s hiding his gun .
A good book that I loved reading
I recommend it to who loves reading Mafia books.

It was ok…

A lot of the dialogue was very cheesy and Sebastian didn’t come across as alpha as he should for a mafia boss. He was constantly being strong armed by stronger men in the story, I get they were greater in the hierarchy, but it made him lose something for me. Also I lost a lot of respect for Madison the female lead throughout the story. She forgave everything way too quickly and gave up on all her morals and convictions in an instant. It just wasn’t believable to her character. I know in these types of books the man manipulates and strong arms the women, and when it’s done right, it’s good. It wasn’t done right here in my opinion. Not believable or enjoyable. Some of the things he did really bothered me and spoiler alert kind of…

I was never completely sure of his love. It was an insta love story which I don’t mind but it seemed more like insta opportunity. There is a point where he even admits if she wasn’t a doctor they wouldn’t be what they are. To me that completely diminished the love part of their love story and I was checked out from that point on, especially because it only took her 3 seconds to get over it, no exaggeration, a sentence later

Madison meets Sebastian when she treats him as a Doctor after a serious car accident. They have an instant connection, and quickly become everything to each other. Madison is focused on her career, training and winning the top spot as a cardiothoracic resident. However, while Sebastian is an Ivy League educated businessman, Madison struggles with the idea that he might not be the straight businessman that he is portraying, and what that would mean for her future career as their relationship progresses.

This was a intriguing read, it kept me interested and I read it in one go, it had a few twists and turns, and had me wondering how things were going to turn out and how Madsion and Sebastian could make their relationship work, given the potential implications of their different lifestyles and the challenges that were thrown up along the way. I enjoyed the little twist at the end.

This is a standalone book, even though it is one of three in the Wicked Billionaires Club.

I always wanted to read a book on Heroine being a doctor and the hero being a Mafia Leader..... my wishes have come true with this book. The author has done a great work with building the story as not once did I find it boring. Yes, there was a little drama that kept me hooked up to the book.

Madison - A wonderful female passionate about her job and risking it for the man she loves, completely left me in awe! for her character.

Sebastian - The man who pursed his MBA from a top university (Cornell University) running the mafia business, showed his power and how stubborn he is... But still for his girl, he's only the man she wants him to be.

All I hoped was some more steamy hot scenes between the main leads. I found this book not being so spicy for a smut lover.

Overall, the author did a splendid work bringing out Sebastian and Madison.

While I did enjoy the story, there are a couple of things that bothered me. The biggest thing is that Sebastian seriously threatened her, that he would destroy her career if she left him. She didn't make him grovel!!! The other is there were some grammatical errors.
Sebastian is a mafia prince. Madison is a surgery resident.
Sebastian and Madison meet when she's riding with the EMT's and are called to the scene of an accident. Sebastian's car is wrapped around a tree. She sees the gun on him and takes it to keep it out of the cops way.
She visits him in his hospital room every day. Their relationship moves very fast as they fall head over heals.
There are obstacles in the way before he can fully bring her in as his girlfriend and wife.
How will they maneuver this? How will Sebastian handle it?
I do recommend this one.

Sebastián and Madison!

Not a bad story!alot of action and Mafia stuff, which I like.I did like Madison but half way thru the story I couldn't stand her,it seem because she was going be a big Dr. that I felt like she was all high and mighty! Bash really seem to care for her and thought of her well being at all times, but sometimes it felt if it didn't fit in to his plans he would twist her until it did,but he c was able to change her mind on having the baby which was good. They did seem to love and care for each other and they did learn not to keep secrets from each other, especially since Madison had certain ways of getting things done! Please read this book,it was good but in certain spots I had weird vibes that's all!

Madison is close to finishing her residency when she saves Sebastian Pretosky life and in doing so hides something that could change his life forever. Sebastian makes it clear from the beginning that Madison is the only doctor he wants to work with. Sebastian is entranced by the beauty and pursues her but he keeps a part of himself carefully hidden, the fact he is a ruthless mafia boss. He does his best to keep Madison close but what happens when it all implodes?

This was entertaining but at times you kind of shook your head when it came to Madison. I liked both characters, fast paced story that had a lot of twists and turns. Would read more in this series.

WONDERFUL READ!

Wonderful, simply wonderful read. This has been another fantastic read. The intrigue and the excitement makes for a wonderful journey. More along the lines of an adventure.

The chemistry and the darkness is totally electrifying. Bash and Dr. Mags are no joke. They’ll have you all up into your feelz.

I’m SO looking for book 4.

While out on rounds for her medical rotation to becoming a doctor, Madison encounters Sebastian in a car crash. To keep him from jail she hides his gun and from there a relationship form between them. She is trying to become a doctor while he is a successful businessman but is he really. This story had me all caught up in it to see if Sebastian and Madison get their chance for happiness.

Russian mafia prince and the Physician he sets his sights on. She stumbled onto him at a car crash he was in. She helped him not only recover from his injuries, but also hides the weapon he had. And so began her seduction into his dark world.

Great story and fun characters in

Just when you think you have a mild mannered Dr on your side you find a darker side of the same Dr. Loved the chemistry between Bash and Mads. Great read.

This was a very interesting book. Especially all the challenges the hero faces and how he overcomes them. I also really enjoyed the heroine and her adaptation into the mafia life as well as her demands.
