About the author

Isoellen

12 books847 followers
Isoellen is just your average, Gen-X'er who drinks too much coffee. Her first romance story was written in 1977 at 8 years old after seeing the movie Star Wars. She knew even then that a rogue on the wrong side of the law was a better mate than the boy on the hero’s journey.
The worlds she creates are violent and sensual, but her characters always find beauty in the decay and romance with intimacy. True love and happily ever after’s are guaranteed.
She is currently working on the 4th book in the 12 Sectors Series, Redeeming Her Alpha.

Whewwwwwwww…… I told Isoellen I hated Mer at the end of her first book in the series. Like strip him down, smear him with honey, and stake him over a fire ant bed. (Just go ahead and the first book in the series.) I’ve been along this wild roller coaster ride of emotion chapter by chapter, and y’all….talk about redeemed. Now don’t get me wrong, Mer is still an ahole, but he’s Zinn’s ahole. And the kids…. I can’t wait to see how they grow up and what happens with them. #DeedledongSong 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. I had to step away at times until I had to remind myself that breed handle things differently. But one thing about Isoellen, trust her process and the love story always wins in the end.

Amazing could not put the book down!!!
When I got my kickstarter email I jumped right in.

Everything about this hits all craving that Isoellen created for her 12 sectors and even expanded my hope and expectations of this story could get. But of course I should have know I was t going to be let down.

Can’t wait for the bonus content, great HFN ending but I need my epilogue
And the happy settled family life of Zinn and Mer, with the kids and there new family members Dam and Kinnery

I'm going to admit, I'm not an Omegaverse reader first, if the story is brilliant and it has that fun Omegaverse theme entwined in, fxck yeah, I'm down for it. And this one is a post-apoc? My favourite. Yes please.
The world building in this book feels so vast and that's starting 4th book deep without knowing wtf is going on anywhere else, I was so easily able to follow along. Anything I didn't know or understand just seemed mysterious. It was a hot mix of how Zinn and Petar might have felt if they were one. Zinn's foreboding, caution and Petar's curious excitement. The pull between the love interests, the love and protection Mer had for his found family that CHOSE him and stood up for him, when others decided he didn't deserve it. Is just so beautifully expressed. It is a most perfect villain redeemed story, a reject who will never be considered redeemed by the law he was raised by because of past actions, with a wild Omega who glares authority in the face and tells them to go and stick it, her little alpha brother that is both gentle and excited to become a man, under the leadership of said villain-but is also bold (and naive 😂) enough to question the older Alphas actions and the little baby Omega the boy has become fast friends with 🥹
This was a fantastic story as a whole, the battle and fight scenes were also just so 😘👌🏽 There were other factions the group crossed that made the world feel big. Different biomes, a city scape overrun with greenery, desolate wastelands and the dystopian 12 sectors of kings and queens, with each sector feeling like it has a story to tell just on it's own.

I love this story!!! and the 12 sector Alpha series.

What tropes are there?
✅️ Dominant AH Alpha
✅️ Disabled fierce omega
✅️ Found Family
✅️ Battle for survival
✅️ Post Apocalyptic Omegaverse
✅️ Adventure
✅️ Family drama
✅️ Adorable children
✅️ Touch her and ☠️
✅️ Protective MMC and FMC

This is a follow-on book from Broken Alpha. It follows Merrick, who is now named Mer and Zinn, an omega who has a physical disability but she doesn't let it slow her down.

Zinn was raised with a bunch of crazed omegas who think alphas are the worst thing since sliced bread. They capture alphas and use them to breed and alleviate their heat. They happened to have caught Mer and his little girl (his best friends child, whom he adopted after her parents ☠️). Zinn helps him escape, taking her little brother with her. But Zinn is smart and makes Mer promise to help them escape to a safe place.

In this book, you really see Mer in a new light. At the same time, he still has the Alpha AH streak in him, making it seem more believable and invested in his growth.

There were a few times they landed in hot water and had to fight their way out, but Zinn and Mer managed to get through it and each time bring them closer.

I loved reading this book and all the characters. Isoellen has the ability to write well, balance fierce FMC. They are vulnerable but also strong and fierce of not physical but mentally. The MMC has enough AH with a touch of softness that draws you in. I also love the storyline of the 12 sectors. I have been waiting for Merricks' follow-up book since devouring all her other 12 sector books.

I actually really like this author's monster love stories but it's weird how she makes it impossible to find her new releases?

Like where is this??
