"True Love Is No Accident"

Deborah Garland Wild Texas Hearts bk 03 The Cowboy's Accidental Wife

Cameron "Cam" Renner and Lakelyn "Lake" Sutherland are fantastic together. From their tension filled first official meeting to the end. I really like this couple. They aren't perfect, but they are perfect for each other.

I must have been confusing the charged-up feelings to make that horse mine with the woman showing him off. A woman who made me want to mow down every sumbitch between me and the stage just to touch her.
-- Cam Renner

There's plenty of family drama, but none of it is over-the-top. I love how Cam stands up for their relationship, even if it was accidentally acquired, and how Lake carries herself through the different bumps in the road, proving repeatedly that she isn't just a pretty face. When she and Cam set the sheets on fire... well, let's just say it's a wet and wild time. 🔥🤠🔥🐎🔥

I read and listened to the book. The narrators are Gregory Salinas and Lexi Evans. I loved listening to both of them with their southern accents and plenty of character.

“True love is no accident.”

This follows Cameron Renner and Lakelyn Sutherland, ranch neighbours and family rivals. Cameron never wanted to have anything to do with the family ranch and followed his best friend and music sensation, Jamie Miller. But tragedy struck the family and his father was rushed to hospital. Now all responsibility regarding the ranch is in his hands. It is the night of the auction and the Sutherland family has put forward a popular horse. Cameron’s father has always wanted this horse Blue Lake and he will do what he can to get it. But what happens when you wake the next morning with no clear recollection of the night before and wake up to your new wife?

I enjoyed this story and the chemistry between Cameron and Lake. It was great that Cameron had little idea about the horse racing circuit but Lake had always been interested in being a part of that world as she was always put to work in the office back on her parent's ranch. Both of them worked well as a team and tackled issues and problems together. The spice was just the perfect amount. The audiobook was brilliant so I highly recommend it. Excited for the next book as my heart goes out to Logan

"Glued to my kindle..."

OMG, love this review: "Feuding families, neighboring farms, and a racing horse. Lake has crushed on Cam for years but waking up married to him is a little too much plus a bun in the oven. Cam never thought about taking charge of the ranch but with his father in the hospital that's where he is at.

I was glued to my kindle, it was emotional, sweet, steamy, and such an easy read at the same time even though what the characters faced wasn't a perfect road." ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A solid 5 star. I loved every word of this book. It was sexy, fun, dramatic and romantic. Cam's father was in ICU and he had to take over the ranch business. He went to a horse auction to bid on a horse that his dad wanted and ended up married!. How they got there was fun to watch. It turns out that Lakelyn had had a crush on him for forever and when he saw her, he went up in flames. I loved all the drama with the horse races up until the last one. It was great to visit with characters from the previous books and really makes me want the next one now. Wonderful read

We warned they are amazing characters but you'll want to smack Cameron for being obtuse.

This is an exciting read. I think this couple does well with the "mistake" they made which opens the door for them to explore and get to know one another in more than a neighborly way. They both have some family drama to deal with but they really convinced me that they'd make a great team as a couple, business and pleasure. Lakelyn get's a chance of a lifetime and she is super-smart providing great insight to the race horses and that business. Cameron is also a great character, very mature and not prideful. The race life is descriptive, making story realistic and very exciting. I received a free copy and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I LOVE POSSESSIVE MEN!! Only in books tho… not in real life, yuck. 🤮

Cameron is currently running his family’s ranch. His father is in the ICU, and someone has to step up and handle everything. When he find out this specific horse is going up for auction, he knows he has to have that horse. So when he wakes up the next day married to the girl whose family is auctioning off that horse… things might get a little bit complicated.

Lake family has a ranch right next to Cameron’s family. She is being forced to sell her horse to help the ranch. So she stays by Blue Lakes (the horse) side the entire time. She has her MBA and wants to be a racing manager for her father ranch ( misogynistic a-hole) so everything goes to shit when she wakes up married to the guy she had a crush on her entire life.

If I were in Lakes shoes I would have kicked Rafe’s ass all the way to Tim buck two. What he did was not okay. At all.

They get their HEA!!!
No cheating!!!

An enjoyable love story set a background of horse racing’s triple crown. Reading about Cam and Lakelyn’s struggles with domineering fathers, it was interesting to see how the path of their fathers diverged. Both men treated their children as if they owned them, knew everything, and their children were incapable of making a decision on their own...also, if the children did make a decision on their own, they were basically dead to them, or just about. Cam and his father barely get along. At the beginning of the book, Lake’s father has completely disappeared, leaving her family with massive debts, setting the stage for this novel to begin.

Cam and Lake get married in a drunken ceremony, the likes of which I’ve only heard about in. Vegas and New Orleans. Interest8ng to know that it can happen in Texas too. Both downing too many Brown-eyed Susans and wake up in bed together the next morning, naked, without any memory of the night before, and quite married. Surprisingly, they both seem to take it pretty much in stride and decide to “deal” with their marriage later. As happily ever afters go, that definitely isn’t how things work out, at least not without a whole lot of work to get there.

A lot happens in this book. One of their dads has a great deal of personal growth; the other dad, well, you’ll have to read about him to see how he turns out. Both of their actions are interesting and entertaining.

Not to be left out are Lake’s brother Rafe, who has lived through the same horrible upbringing as Lake and is trying to pick up the pieces and save what’s left of his family holdings; and Logan, who has apparently pined after a woman since high school. I don’t know if this is a series or not, but both of these guys could use a story of their own. They are both compelling characters in their own right.

Definitely a cowboy story worth spending time with.

This was a story that kept my interest all the through & couldn't put it down. Both Cam & Lakelyn were at the auction for their families her selling Blue Lake for money to save her family & Cam following his father's wishes to buy a race horse as he was ill in hospital but neither expected to come home with more than a horse. What happened the night of the auction saw both families fued get worse but with them two caught in the middle. This had drama, hurt, hot sexual chemistry, lies but with lots of love aswell. It was great to see other characters from the previous stories aswell.
I am volunteering to leave my honest review of this book.

The Cowboy's Accidental Wife
Wild Texas Hearts, Book 3
By: Deborah Garland
Narrated by: Gregory Salinas, Lexi Evans

Deborah Garland pens another fabulous novel set in her “Wild Texas Hearts” story and wow, what a story it is. I would like to say her series keeps getting better and better, but that would not be fair to the earlier books, which are just as amazing. This story is Cameron Renner and Lakelyn ‘Lake’ Sutherland’s story, neighbors growing up but their families are rivals, something their fathers took seriously. Cameron wanted nothing to do with the ranch and he left to become Jamie Miller's manager, a hit music artist and the father of his late sister’s daughter. Cameron gets a call to come home because his father suffered a cardiac arrest and was in the hospital. The handling of the ranch was now his job, and he was out of his element, but Jamie helped him, along with others, including Logan, the barn foreman. When he learned that the Sutherland’s next door was auctioning off one of their prized horses slated to be the next Derby winner, Blue Lake, a horse his father wanted, he knew he had to go to that auction and try to get it. So off to Houston he goes and the day after the auction he woke up, not only the owner of a new horse, Blue Lake, but with a new wife, Lakelyn. Neither one remembers what happened or how it happened, but her brother, Rafe, came and told them exactly why they were married. Cameron does not have time to deal with that for now, they have to get ready for the races, and when he learns how much knowledge Lake has, not only about the horses, but of the racing community, he puts her in charge. Lake has an MBA, something her father never took advantage of. Cameron wanted to keep their relationship platonic, at least until they knew what they were going to do, which was difficult since the chemistry between them was electric. However, things between them change when they spend more time together and then they get some unexpected news. Lakelyn was insecure, not knowing what Cameron was thinking or wanting, and it wasn’t until Cameron realizes it, it was almost too late. I loved how everything played out in this book, it was off to the races from the very start and there was never a dull moment, the drama was non-stop and there was some angst, lots of heartfelt emotions and some steamy romance. Deborah Garland, thank you for another fantastic story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 Gregory Salinas and Lexi Evans were the perfect cast to bring these characters to life, and they did so with a complete understanding of who they were portraying, giving each a voice that was fitting and believable. Salinas nailed it as Cameron, grasping all aspects of his personality and played the role of a swoon worthy cowboy naturally. Evans was just as amazing as Lakelyn, also grasping every side of her personality, from her insecurities to her fierceness. Both were fabulous performing the roles of the secondary characters, too. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fabulous listen.

I have been loving this new to me author. I devoured the first two books and I couldn’t wait to start this one.

I was hooked from the first page. I love that we got introduced to Lake in the First book of the series and then we dove into Cam a little in the second book.

I always love a good small town romance but there was something a little fresh about this read for me. Yes we know of the accidental marriage trope but the way the story was put together with their worlds colliding. Her family betrayal and his father’s hard feelings about most things in life. It was beautifully put together and fresh.

I love that we got Cam’s side to how he felt about what his father did by keeping his niece way from her father which is his best friend and he saw what those years did to him and the guilt and heartache he knows his friend will forever carry no matter how many years have passed.

I do say that I wish Lake had a few words with the old man about that and what it still does to Cam to this day.

The races were existing to read about. I love that the author dug deep into the behind the scenes of the horse racing world a little.

In the beginning I couldn’t understand Lake’s brother but after reading more I realised that he wanted to get her away from their father and be protected. The best way he knew would be with Cam. He knew Mr Renner wanted their horse and he knew his sister wouldn’t want to be away from her horse and want to be close to him, thus having her away from their father and farm and away with their horse. Perfect. The accidental marriage was an extra bonus in ensuring she would be away from their farm. That’s why he and their mother packed her up as fast as they could. I do wish we get a story for him though. To see him happy and build a relationship with his sister and for him to stand up to his father like Cam has done many a time.

The steam was steaming as well as sweet. I felt the warmth right out of the chapters. These two wanted each other bad and the tension was sizzling between the pages.

Definitely a good read and I can’t wait to read about Logan’s story next.

The Cowboy's Accidental Wife
Wild Texas Hearts, Book 3
By: Deborah Garland
Narrated by: Gregory Salinas, Lexi Evans

Now this is a fun take on a cowboy romance! I loved every minute of it. Deborah Garland writes the third in her Wild Texas Hearts series and it's fun, flirty and impossible not to love. This book features Cameron and Lake. Cameron has no interest in running his family's ranch. He is the manager for Jamie Miller, a famous singer, and the uncle to Jamie's adorable daughter. He is suddenly called home to attend his father who has fallen sick and now Cam has to take over the ranching duties. First is to purchase a race horse from the Sutherland farm auction. Cam's family and theirs have been at odds for years, so when he comes home with not only the horse, but Lake, a Sutherland, he knew he would be in for it. He doesn't even remember the night he was with her, but their draw to each other is real. Lake is all in for the time being. She has crushed on Cam for years, so now it's her chance to live out her dreams with him, plus take a horse to the races! But with the deal this would end when the races were complete may need to be renegotiated. Will these two fall in love for real? Will Cam fall in love with racing horses? What will his father say when he finds out? This is packed full of excitement, hope and love and I absolutely loved attending the triple crown! It's fun and thrilling, the best kind of listen. I enjoyed this and look forward to more from Garland.

Narrated by Gregory Salinas and Lexi Evans just enhances the story even more. Salinas is a favorite and his role as Cam is spot on. A little hesitant, but ready to take the plunge, Salinas gives just the right amounts of emotion as he goes through the obstacles. Evans is amazing as Lake. Living her dreams, both with the horses and love, she provides a wonderful array of feelings that make it easy to relate to Lake. Loved these two and their performance.

Dramatic romance at Triple Crown horse racing
Audiobook version: 5 stars overall, 5 stars story, 5 stars narration

Deborah Garland has delivered another highly entertaining romance with her trademark roller coaster emotions and well-researched settings. I love all the accurate details of the horse racing industry and what racing managers do. Cam (the guy) and Lakeland (the lady) were immediately likeable, and I rooted for their HEA. Cam is respectful, sexy, and generally reliable. Lakeland is intelligent, spunky, and really knows about horse racing management. Cam and Lakeland communicate well with each other. The bedroom scenes are moderately steamy and not too frequent. There are some laughs along with the mild to moderate angst and drama in this contemporary romance.

Once I started this novel I just couldn't stop listening. The tropes are billionaire guy, Texas cowboys, drunk quickie marriage, temporary memory loss, and problem parents. I enjoyed this one so much that I am going back to buy the first audiobook in this Wild Texas Hearts series. If you like fun and emotional contemporary romances, I recommend this one. Also, if you loved Deborah Garland’s Forever Mine series, then you’ll love this one too.

Excellent narration, but they talk a bit slowly, so I thought listening at 1.2x speed was perfect. Very good southern accents that might be accurate Texas accents. Both narrators were very good at men’s and women’s voices, although their voices for Lakeland didn’t match very well.

I requested and received a free audio copy via the publisher, and I voluntarily wrote this honest review. #TheFlockVIPReviewTeam #PinkFlamingoProductions

Cameron Renner was home attempting to run the Renner Ranch, after his father had a serious heart attack leaving him in a coma for sometime. All Cameron knew how to do was manage Jamie's music career. He was catching on to the ranch and the show horses as they did all of that before he went on the road with Jamie, but now Logan was coming to him telling him that Sutherland Ranch was selling Blue Lake a possible contender to win the Kentucky Derby, and his dad was wanting more into race horses. This resulted in Cam and Logan flying to Houston attend the auction of the horse and the benefit gala afterwards. Old man Sutherland had made some questionable business decisions disappearing leaving his son Rafe to clean the mess up. He owed a lot of money thus, the emergence sale of the horse, so Rafe, his sister, Lakelyn, and their mother all got Blue Lake loaded headed to Houston for the auction. When Lakelyn entered the sale ring Cam's eyes locked with her and he wanted her. He won the bid for the horse at 6.4 million dollars. He met Lakelyn coming out of the ring asking her to have dinner with him. They ended up drinking only Black Susans for dinner and remembering anything until the next morning, when they woke up together discovering, they were married. This accidental marriage may have been the best thing to ever happen to both of then. Lakelyn's father did not take her seriously as a racing manager or business period, but Cam needed her experience in both fields. A wonderful story of two strong willed people trying to figure out a life together with family members adverse to the idea. They knew what they wanted and they went after it.

Cameron Renner is Jamie's manager and now, he is in charge of the family farm after his father's stroke. Realizing his father wants to move from show horses to race horses, he gets word the Sutherland family is auctioning off their prized racehorse and is determined to be the highest bidder.

Lake Sutherland's father has left the family in debt causing them to auction off their prized racehorse. Finding out Cameron will be at the auction and crushing on him since they were kids, Lake is determined to catch his eye. Now that Cameron has won Blue Lake, he has his sights set on Lake. After spending time getting to know each other and drinking heavily, the wake up the next morning married and have no memory of the prior nights events. Once Lake's brother Rafe explains the reasoning for their marriage; not wanting to draw unwanted attention, they decide it's best to stay married since Blue Lake is the favorite to win the Kentucky Derby. They want the focus on Blue Lake and not them.

Cameron makes Lake the racing manager since she knows the ins and outs of the horserace business. Spending time together going from one racetrack to another, Cameron realizes he wants Lake to be a part of his life forever. He doesn't want their marriage to end even more so now that she's pregnant. Finding out their marriage isn't legal since it wasn't filed with the county, Cam and Lake decide to keep that information hidden. A confrontation with Cam's father leaves Lake shaken up and she decides to go back to her family home leaving Cam behind.

Being as the Renner's and Sutherland's are enemies, will Cam's father keep them apart or will Cam and Harper get the HEA they both deserve. Awesome narration by Gregory Salinas and Lexi Evans. Great series by Deborah Garland.

Blurb
Open bar. A woman who takes my breath away. A bathroom quickie. A brother with ordained ministers on speed dial…

Cameron:
With my father on life support, I must step up and run the family horse ranch. I’m a country music manager, to say I’m a little out of my depth is a massive understatement. Turning my world upside down further, I find out a racehorse my father wants is going up for auction.

A horse favored to win the upcoming Kentucky Derby.

Lakelyn:
I’ve loved Cameron Renner forever. But he’s been off traveling the world with his superstar best friend. Now Cam is running his father’s horse ranch, my family is deep in debt, and he wants my horse.

At the auction, I wore a dress to get noticed. Among other things. After a wild night, Cam and I wake up married.

Wtf?

It’s nothing a quickie divorce can’t solve, but since Cam bought my famous horse, there’s a spotlight on us. The five-weeklong racing season for the Triple Crown series will go quick and then Cam and I can quietly annul our marriage and go our separate ways. I have no plans to be in a loveless marriage.

And in Wild Heart, our families are fierce enemies.

But there's the issue of that positive pregnancy test…

This is book 3 in Garland's Wild Texas Hearts series. This can be read / listened to as a standalone but there are cameo characters from previous books in the series so just be aware. This book focus' on Cameron and Lake's journey. Cameron is stepping into a role he thought would never be his as his father struggles for his life in the hospital. Lake is struggling to be seen in a male dominated world in a family who is on the brink of ruin. While Cameron and Lake don't really know each other their said families are not on friendly terms even though they are neighbors...One drunken night changes everything for these two and the book focus' on how one accidental night was so much more than an accident, it could very well be fate!

A well written and beautifully dual narrated romance read with great ups and downs and twist and turns. Some communication issues and of course cause it's Texas - everything is bigger, if not better (wink). Great balance of sweet and steam and the perfect HEA that seems just out of reach until Garland weaves it all together. I loved this read / listen and I can't wait for more in this series!

This book was given to me for free at my request and I voluntarily provided this review.

First my usual points:
- I do not do spoilers unless warned.
- Read the summary above; it will tell you what the book is about. I will not reiterate.
- This is a standalone but the second full length of a series; the first is a novella.
- No errors that I caught as far as editing.
- The author was not new to me

We first met Cameron in Jamie's story working as his manager. A family emergency calls him to take his place at the family horse ranch. A job he feel ill prepared for and is not sure he really wants. A drunken night finds him married to the girl with blue hair, Lake, from the neighboring ranch (and competitor to his own families' ranch). A wild ride is laid out before these two get to ride off into the sunset.

This is definitely a bit of a departure for this author and she's given us an excellent, story of finding your place when life throw you for a curve. I've read her work before and have loved everything she's put out. Highly recommended.

Cameron & Lakelyn Perfect Pairing ❤️❤️❤️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️-this is one of my favorite books in this series!! Cameron has followed his heart and his best friend Jamie to help with his music career but he is faithful to his family and when his father falls sick he has to take over at the Ranch! The horse his father has been wanting is coming up for auction and Fam can’t let it slip through their fingers.

Lakelyn loves horses and lives for everything related to their world! When she learns that her father has put their entire livelihood in jeopardy she is devastated they have to sell her favorite horse. Blue Lake is a winner and he will be go for a lot of cash at Auction but Lakelyn hopes that Cameron will bid the most because she has been in love with him forever. He’s never noticed her or so she thought but when they come together the fireworks and alcohol consumption is heavy!

Everything from there is crazy and a whirlwind adventure! There is a-lot happening in this book but you will love the journey of these two people who couldn’t be more perfect for each other! Happy Reading!!

I'm loving this series by Deborah Garland, these cowboys are the freaking sweetest and hottest and I'm obsessed with every last one of them. I think my favorite part is how low angst they are, there is some tension there and will he do the right thing? but they always do and it's without hesitation, making me swoon.

I know nothing about horses outside of what I learned in my one year of 4H twenty-five years ago, but it felt like Deborah knew what she was talking about which was really nice. It feels like she probably grew up around horses and cowboys and that's why she decided to write about them. I loved the story surrounding Blue Lake here, it was really well done and interesting to read.

Cam and Lake were super sweet together, I adored their romance and honestly just wanted more, more, more. I wouldn't have minded another 100 pages to really get more into some one on one moments with them, and not just the spicy ones, although I wouldn't complain about more of those either.

Gregory Salinas and Lexi Evans are two of my favorites and they did so well here, I loved listening to this book. I'm so excited to see what's next for Wild Texas Hearts.

WOW, this was a great story. I was so not expecting everything that happened. This is a great story to read on a lazy Saturday or Sunday for sure. I loved how she had loved him from afar, and he really only knew of her. But she wanted him to want her, and boy did he ever. She was being made to sell one of the horses that she loves dearly for debts of her father. He was buying the horse his father wanted to win the Kentucky Derby. It is a win win for her if she can get him to notice her and he has her horse, right? Well, one night of drunken disaster and they are married. Neither remember of course as they were blacked out drunk. But her brother saw to it they were married to save her reputation as his thoughts. Things are not always what they seem in the world and yes, she loves him and he lusts for her from first sight. Both of their fathers hated each other as they were rivals. With that drama his father in the hospital in ICU from a heart attack and her father on the run, will these two be able to figure out what they really want out of this combining of families?

I had no trouble getting completely involved in this book right from the beginning. I wasn’t prepared for how easily Cameron would become smitten with Lakelyn. He’d been traveling as his rock star buddy’s manager for years, had superficial encounters with women, but was gobsmacked by Lakelyn, the girl who lived on the neighboring ranch all their lives.

There was plenty of passion and stem between the two of them - when Cam was not trying so hard not to give in to their mutual desires. Their accidental marriage made each of them wary of what the other’s long term expectations were. I became a little annoyed with Cam insisting they would take their relationship day by to to see how it goes and with Lakelyn for automatically assuming he meant to divorce her.

The background story of buying a racehorse and entering the Triple Crown circuit was creative and well researched. The book ended with an HEA for Cam and Lake and set up the circumstances for Logan’s story.

I received an advance copy of this book. This is my voluntary review.

This is book three in the Wild Texas Hearts Series. It can be read as a standalone but it is connected to the other books in the series so you will come across characters from the previous books. To get a better understanding of all the characters involved I recommend you read the first two books. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Lakelyn has had a thing for Cameron for years but between their families fighting and Cameron following Jamie to Nashville to be his manager nothing ever came of her crush. Cameron being home now because his dad is in the hospital changes things. They end up married after a night of heavy drinking. Now they have to decide what to do about their marriage. Do they stay married or get a quiet divorce? Cams out of his league running his dads horse racing business but Lakelyn Knows what she's doing, Cam needs her, but will he come to realize the needs her for more than managing the horses, that his heart is involved too?

I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Love Cameron and Lake! ♥️ - Audiobook Review 🎧
This is a stand-alone book but I am glad that I listened to the first book before this one so I got to know the characters better before listening to this book.  Cameron was Jamie’s manager but is now managing the ranch since his father is in the hospital.  He is working with the race horses and wound up getting drunk and marrying Lake, who is the daughter of the enemy’s family. Lake. Lake had a crush on Cameron since she was a kid and Cameron is very attracted to Lake, but because of his past and family, he has always avoided relationships.  They work well together and I enjoyed their journey and relationship to their HEA.   This story has some suspense, action, spice and also some healing from their past that they needed.  I loved that we got to have Jamie, Harper and Chloe back in this story too and got to catch up with them and the new baby!  The narrators did a great job with all the emotions and really brought the story to life.  I really loved this story and would definitely recommend it!

Audiobook Review:
Narrated by Gregory Salinas & Lexi Evans. They gave the characters their southern accent and all the right emotions to go with their personalities.
They really did a good job and the banter was brilliant.
Cameron is new to the horse business as he had to come gone and take over from his poorly father.
Lakelyn was super smart and qualified in the racing world but is over looked and drowning thanks to her father. When she finds out her loving horse is being sold, that's when it all starts.
This is a bit like modern day Romeo and Juliet. Their father's are enemies and can't stand each other.
So when a drunken night leads to accidental marriage and a little surprise, their battle has only just begun.
I loved their passion and strength they show in support for each other. A lot of push and pull and slow burn. But the spice is hot when the dam breaks haha.
This one was definitely my favourite of the series. Loved the extra family bond and the banter.
It's not an easy road with all the drama and twists but wonderful audio book.

Fate Hand In Healing The Past -
It was meant to be one night where Cameron and Lakelyn let go of their inhibitions and enjoyed life, but what they didn’t expect was a drunken marriage and a surprise gift. Whilst they accepted their circumstances, nothing could prepare them for the stresses they were about face and the success of their complicated relationship would be determined by if they stood together as a unit to face all the obstacles.

This story was a modern day Romeo and Juliet, with steamy moments, secrets, sabotage and instances of bullying. The final chapter really shook me to the core, but it also left me salivating to read book four in the Wild Texas Hearts series. This was book a truly enjoyable Saturday read for me whilst relaxing, as I just couldn’t put it down once I started. I highly recommend you start reading this captivating series as soon as possible.

Loved it! Starts out with a bang and just keeps going.
Cam has the task of running his Daddy's ranch, and what he knows about that isn't worth a hill of beans, but he's trying. He ends up buying a racehorse, a Derby style racehorse, in Houston, has a few too many Black-eyed Susans and wakes up married!
Lakelyn and her family are in danger of losing their ranch, and are forced to sell their prize winning racehorse, Blue Lake, in Houston. She has a few of those lovely Black-eyed Susans and wakes up married!
A funny, backward romance that turns out beautifully. There's drama, too much family lol, a lot of heat with sizzle, and some excellent writing to make you feel it, see it, hear it all.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading about the Horse Racing World while rooting for Cam and Lake, Blue Lake, and the whole Happy Ending Romance with surprises too.
A recommended read from me to put you in a whole new world for several hours.
