"In her first book, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene reveals her personal account of the battles she fights in the halls of Congress and beyond. MTG shares the story of her incredible ascension from small town business owner to MAGA firebrand! Known for her humor and honesty, MTG offers a never before seen glimpse at her decision to give up private sector success for public service, her unfiltered views on the most important issues facing our nation, and the personal sacrifices that come with being "the most dangerous woman in Washington." No other book pulls back the curtain on Washington, the swamp, and the Democrat political elite like MTG. MTG's story will inspire anyone who has ever felt that their voice isn't powerful enough to make a difference." – Publisher's description.
A stupid book by a stupid author. An embarrassment to our country and more. She. Had no speaking skills much less writing skills I wouldn’t think this book is even worth burning So embarrassing that anyone would support this terrible American
I did read it, and was sad to find it entirely fulfilled my minuscule expectations: poorly written, shallow, and devoid of any useful true analysis of either's MTG's or Washington's operations. It reads like a screed dictated into one's phone while trailing and harassing a school shooting survivor or a boyfriend who jilted you.
The Literary Equivalent of a Dumpster Fire Marjorie Taylor Greene's "MTG" is a literary dumpster fire, a flaming heap of uninformed opinions and half-baked conspiracy theories. Greene, the insurrectionist and clown of the Republican Party, writes with the eloquence of a middle schooler and the depth of understanding of a toddler. Her book is a perfect fit for irrational conspiracy trolls and those who enjoy wasting their time on nonsense.
For example, her faith is as shallow and self-serving as her political career. She wields religion like a weapon, using it to justify her bigotry and hatred. Her version of Christianity is a far cry from the teachings of Jesus Christ, who preached love, compassion, and forgiveness. Greene's faith is a twisted reflection of her own ego, a tool she uses to manipulate and control others. It's a shame that such a corrupt and hateful individual can claim to be a Christian. Her book is a disgrace to the faith and a stain on the reputation of all good Christians.
If you're looking for a book that will make you dumber, this is the one for you. Just don't expect to find any coherent thoughts or well-researched arguments. After all, this is Marjorie Taylor Greene we're talking about. The woman whose shoulders are so wide she could probably bench press a small car. It deserves less than 1 star.
If I wanted to see or experience garbage I would go to the landfill. I find it funny that someone who is so "American " would use a Canadian publishing company. I hope this book gets used to line bird cages and in her constituents outhouses.
Is there anyone on the planet who believes that this pardon seeking (before taking office) traitor actually wrote this? Seriously? Her incoherent ramblings are beyond bizarre and lack any and all truth. Marjorie has this warped view of the world where she worships a sky man and an orange man, seeks approval from both while proclaiming herself a “follower of Christ.” Someone please point me to where this Christ person mentions “grab them by the…” Marjorie is such a follower she committed adultery like it was a hobby for her. I’m sure she begged for forgiveness from her orange daddy. Avoid!!!
As of the date of this review, 24 November 2023, publisher does not offer a digital preview. Under no circumstances would I pay good money for a book I can't even sample.
Less than 1 Star MTG thinks this vanity book is going to be a Best Seller TBH I did not read this, and I plan Not to read this drivel. The “Gentlewoman” from Georgia called my President a Liar when he was speaking in Congress Grow Up MTG Oh and tell your son that was a baby doe he shot with his big ole assault rifle
Didn’t read. Just here to join the 1 star party. Why can’t we do zero? I suppose the audacity of getting someone to ghost write this garbage and convincing a publisher to pay her shows some kind initiative. So one star for that, maybe?
You would probably get more insight into politics by listening to the projectile vomiting coming from Boebert’s stall after she felt her date up in from of children and an entire nation wondered how low these fools are going to be allowed to go with their race to the bottom of making us the laughingstock of the world and it would be funny is it didn’t carry disastrous consequences for anyone that wants clean air, food and water or healthcare. Sure Marjarie is going to throw the little tidbit of populism in like she often does without proposing any solutions because the corporations found someone delusional enough that doesn’t care about the disastrous impact of her words.
The thought that we wasted a good tree to print this garbage breaks my heart. Paraphrasing the principal, in Billy Madison, I will venture. “MTG, at no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone that glances as this garbage is now dumber for having looked at it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.”
She refers to herself as "the most dangerous woman in Washington" and that is probably the most truthful statement in this book. The appalling vitriol and hate she expounds makes me fear for the safety of her co-workers.
Why? On a personal note, I have far right, Trump-loving, QAnon believing family members and I have to admit they confuse me. I checked this out from my library in the hopes that I would gain some insight into their way of thinking, better understand them, or something. I also find things as they stand sad. Depressing. Scary. Any number of negative emotions. Full disclosure: Before picking this up, I thought MTG was a horrible person. After reading this? I still think that. I would also add she's a bully. There are so many lies and falsehoods in this. Some are worse than others, but so. Many. Lies. It is astounding that anything can happen and my take-away can be 180 degrees different from others.
Jan 6, 2021: "I was terrified, thinking that the same people we saw on TV night after night attacking police offices had just breached the Capital." "The people who just walked through open doors are now being prosecuted...." Me: Um? What? People stormed the Capital intent (many with violent intentions) on overturning an election and that is what? Just fine?
Abortion: "The Democratic Party seems intent on destroying women's rights and killing unborn children up to the day of birth...." Me: Abortions are rare later in pregnancy and are usually done because the fetus has an abnormality incompatible with life/the mother's health is in jeopardy/because something couldn't be done earlier due to any combination of access/funding/etc. There are good reasons why it does occur later, but it's never done just because. These are decisions, deliberate decisions women make because it is right for them and their current existing families. Don't agree with abortion? That's fine. Don't have one. It could not be more simple than that. Don't. Have. One.
Transgender people: "The fact is there are plenty of girls and women already getting hurt while facing off against biological men." She goes on a rant and states other things about trans women that don't have sources listed and are things I haven't seen reported in the media. Me: Huh?
Trump's support of the military: "I'll never forget how he greeted the planes and coffins of America's sons and daughters when they came home. I understand that he greeted nearly every deceased service member when they returned home. Me: A quick google search on this will show that he did this 4 times and then stopped after he was criticized by a service member's family. Mike Pence did this for 2 years. Trump did not. Pence did.
Russia's invasion of Ukraine: "...but I don't see evidence of a continuing threat to Europe or Nato." Me: tell that to Sweden, Finland, Moldova, and Georgia. MTG seems to think it's because Russian was a primary language many Ukrainians used, they must want to join Russia.
Climate change: Natural disasters are more costly not because of climate change making storms more severe/etc, but because of inflation.
The 2022 election: "If the sentiment against the radical left were all it took, we would have had our red wave..." Me: people voting = bad. Making it easier to vote, whether it is mail-in voting, extending voting hours, etc = bad. Never mind the fact that Democrats have won the popular vote in 2000, 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2020. And winning the popular vote in 2000 and 2016 didn't win the presidency. So, gerrymandering = good. Voting restrictions = good.
I do think there are divides in this country. How bad they are varies on location. We also have to be able to TALK to each other without getting into screaming matches and we have to be able to compromise. You can't always get what you want, it can't be "my way or the highway." And at the end of the day FACTS should matter. They do matter.
