A demanding university degree doesn’t stop Irish mafia heir Odhran from fulfilling his duty to his family…
Until Onika.
She’s half-black, half-Asian, curvy as hell, nothing but trouble with thick afro hair, and a sharp mouth. She’s infuriating. She’s disobedient. Nothing Odhran does can break her.
She’s worth trouble with the boss to have her to himself. To claim her. To own her. To keep her.

I have to admit that I wasn’t too hyped for Odhran’s story to be told. I knew he was the youngest and still had a one in front of his age so thought his story is going to be juvenile. I quickly found out how wrong I was! From the first chapter, I was hooked. I was blessed with a ARC copy and tore through it like candy.
There was nothing and I do mean nothing juvenile about Odhran. In fact he is seemingly the more level, educated and capable than at least two of his brothers. He is intense personified. But he doesn’t get all the character glory. Onika was girl after my own heart. Chubby, mixed race gamer/ dark writer that only wanted to keep her head down and go to class. Trouble found her but she didn’t let it over take her.
The action in this story was chefs kiss. Sometimes the mafia aspect gets lost in the romance but this had the perfect balance. In an attempt to keep this spoiler free I’ll just say I didn’t want this to end. I wanted to see more of Nik and Rylee’s friendship, I wanted to see if Nik finally met Killer Bee, or to see how would Nik like Odhran’s natural hair color.. Oh not to mention what did Odhran choose to do with his life because he’s way too smart and somewhat disciplined to waste that talent.
That being said I’d love to see the Murray men again. But if not the series was a hell of a ride and I do believe Jamila Jasper saved the best for last. However she does have a habit of making ‘the next one the best one’.
What a way to end a series. He wasn't as scary as everyone thought, his girl understood him the most. I wished it was more to their story. He was misunderstood by his brothers.
"It’s much easier to track and kill your prey with the internet now. It never fails to shock me how people are so reckless. They post their location to their public accounts. They post pictures of their schools, houses, friends, cars, vacation spots, commonly visited coffee shops… All you need is one piece of information most of the time – a first name – and then a location, and you can find everything you need to know about someone." ~~ Odhran Murray
Premise: Odhran (main male character) is the youngest Murray brother in the Boston Irish Mafia Series and the most psychotic. (Even his brothers think so.) Onika (main female character)s is the youngest sister to Kalani from "Mafia Possession". Odhran and Onika are both students at the same university and they're gamers in their spare time; but Onika is also an aspiring horror story author. Their paths cross and somehow their worlds end up colliding in the most predictable (and not so predictable)ways.
My thoughts on the characters: Odhran is definitely a little bit more psycho than his brothers. I didn't expect Onika to be like her sister, but I did hope she'd have a bit more of a backbone and not be so quick to cave to a man's demands. Unfortunately, that didn't happen.
My thoughts on the plot: Onika being stalked by her brother-in-law's youngest brother is definitely a new one for me. I'm surprised that Onika didn't tell her sister what was happening, but I guess they didn't have that type of relationship.
Thoughts on pacing: The pacing was evened out throughout the book, not too quick and not too slow. Things flowed well enough to keep your attention.
What I liked: I liked the fact that both Odhran and Onika did the things college students did (attending classes, studying, taking exams, etc) in addition to all the other shenanigans taking place.
What I didn’t like: Onika initially didn't learn anything from being bullied in high school and she made things too easy for her tormentors.
What I loved: Onika did finally learn to stand up for herself and in a small way got her revenge. I also loved that in spite of all of the unprotected sex those two engaged in, Onika didn't end up pregnant at any point. (Thank God!)
What you hated : There was a very similar scene to one in "Mafia Surrogate". That was a tad bit weird that two different brothers were stalkers. I did want at least one of the MFCs in the series to not give in so easily to the MMCs... to make them earn her instead.
All in all, it was an intriguing read and I recommend it to those who like mysteries and intrigue.
Four out of five stars (I subtracted the star because of that particular scene that was similar).
Oh my GOODNESS! When I say I did NOT see Odhran story turning out this way. He started off a bit creepy for me lol, but once he slowly came out of his shell with Nik, I became to like him a bit more. He definitely is different than his brothers, as he plays his video games, and very tech savvy. But just like his brothers, he will protect what is his and he has deemed Onika as HIS. Onika, a gamer, English major and stays to herself. Being different can sometimes have it’s disadvantages, but she didn’t let that stop her. But somehow, the drama seems to have made its way into her life. All it takes is that one encounter and Odhran had to make himself known sooner than he planned. He had everything planned out and arranged for the right moment that he would make Nik his, but an ex makes things more difficult than it needed to be. This was steamy, action packed, revenge, HEA all in one. I would’ve loved to see more of how they got heir HEA, but I think it happened just right!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
The introduction was interesting but when you read this book, it didn’t come close to being interesting then the book before this one. So all in all this mafia romance series writing style off compared to past mafia romance series that you made. I can’t lie I saw some typos. I felt like you could of add more, it was as if you got bored and wanted to be done with it heck, I got the impression this series might of not been your favorite. But hey what do I know I’m not a writer if I was a writer I’d be writing books. I hope you find a book series that you really like and play around with it like you did the fourth book in the series and plenty of the past Matthew books, or the Laguna grove hockey series, and avoid trying to compare them that might be what might’ve throw this last series off. I’m not sure you’ll make any more mafia series after this one judging by the way, you ended it. I hope you a good luck in your writing.
This book took me by surprise😯I was not expecting the youngest Murray mobster to be this smart, cunning, calm under pressure, yet deliciously dark, dangerous & unhinged!!! Can you imagine how terrifying he will become as he gets older😱 At times, I was genuinely scared for sweet Onika , as I thought she was definitely going to be unalived by the mean girls-Six & Maura😨This is a fantastic way to conclude the series & this 🗨by Onika sums it up perfectly-"“I love you,” she whispers. “I want to be your wife and I want your babies. Is that crazy? You’re basically an unhinged mobster who stalked me and captured me and took me to your lair.”💋Happy Reading Y'all🍷
A man should never put his hands on a woman for any reason
I’be read half of this book, but stop reading it. I couldn’t get past the violence against the lead female character, Onika by Odhran. Even though it was small, striking a woman is totally unacceptable.
Odhran paddling Onika, claiming he’s punishing her for being disobedient. Huh??!!
Odhran reminds me of Ike Turner. Ike justified his beating Tina Turner was because he loved her. The same lame excuse Odhran had for padding Onika. A man should NEVER put his hands on a woman for any reason. Nor should any kind of violence against women be in any romance novels.
I love that Nik is a writer and that we kind of get hints of his attraction to her in previous books. It’s cool that old characters pop up in all of her stories but this couple was probably my least favorite of the series. I wish she stood up for herself to Six and Maura because that was just a really weird dynamic. And her having to pause responding to the proposal to ask if he’s racist was cringe to me. I wish they both had more confidence in themselves, but also each other. And I have no idea why Rylee was so weird around Odhran, I still want to know.
The Murphy brothers have all meet their match in the women they each choice as theirs. AI truly hate to see this series continue come to an end. Onika and odhran were made for each other . I would truly love another book in this series to see all the babies and to see how Aiden handles the rest of the Irish mob who still believes in the old ways of not not mixing races. Do yourself a favor and get and read this series you want regret it
So I read all 5 books in this series. First I want to say I love this author. She doesn't hesitate to go "there". My only critique is the abrupt endings. I wish for this series there was a complete epilogue. There are some loose ends that I would think needs to be addressed. There was some continuity issues but nothing that will distract from the overall stories. All in all the stories were a good read.
This is hands down the best book in the series. It caught me off guard because I expected Odrhan’s story to be the least interesting. Boy was I completely wrong. He is truly misunderstood and way more savvy than his brother’s him credit. His obsession and care for Nik was both sweet and terrifying. I would’ve loved to have read more about their story. Definitely check this one out.
I’ve read all the Murray brother books. I love the relationship between Odhran and Onika. I have never laughed so much while reading one of the books in this series. The interaction between the two had me cracking up. The descriptions they used to describe each other had me laughing out loud. I really enjoyed this book.
This book was a hot and scary to read. Odhran stalked Onika into being his lover, friend and wife. Odhran had more issues than his brothers, I guess because he lived with his parents the longest. If their was alive he probably would hunt down and kill all his sons, because they ended up with black women.
Wow, this book had me hooked. Miss Jasper continues to write this awesome books. Onika although hard on herself because she’s a plus size woman gets entangled with the youngest Murray brother. I really enjoyed how each character balanced each other without seeming overly controlling.
The most patient and loving brothers but with S&M 😏
I feel like even though this was the most crazy brother he loved the hardest so much patience I had a feeling she was a masochist from the start I need mob wives side stories 😭
Fav quote: Where the fuck do you think you're going (ooop 🥵)
While I wish each book didn't have slightly loose ends.... this was a 10. Odrahn stole my heart and then some. It's always the youngest brother. Well written, could relate to the FMC. This is how you end a series. Would re read again for the wholesome ;) young *kids*
Odhran is a real bully and Nik she is weak she's not an average black women, most black women would have fight or walked away from that school, it's not worth getting bullied by chick's or guys true fantasy book.
He loved her from the beginning, just didn't realize until their first sexy, scary, nasty encounter. She became strong mentally and learned her worth. Together, they are a force that will and can't be stopped!!
You ended the series beautifully. I love the relationship between Odhran and Onika. Also loved that there were really no typos or grammatical, errors in this one. I loved them all but I loved this one best of all.
I absolutely loved this book so much. I loved that Odhrran changed for the better. He also, helped Nik out . The brothers are great too. They are there for each other, considering they love black women.
The strange obsessive attraction keeps you wanting more. I love how he discovered himself in his stalking of Nik. The unconditional love that they developed was darkly beautiful. I loved this series.
I loved this Irish ☘️ Mob Series. Perfect use of just the right amount of drama and a quick not overly extended resolution of conflict. I only wished the wives were shown to be way stronger as they are each strong women. Show that they can handle a gunfight or something.
I've read each book in this series, and this is my favorite one. The relationship between Onika and Odhran was thrilling, and their inner monologues had me laughing.
Great book it keeps my attention and I couldn’t put it down. It started out strange but caught my attention and kept it. Very good hood lots of exciting parts.
