The Unavoidable Road

Rate this book
“You’re going home and I'm coming with you.”
Just eight little words will bind their fates forever.
Amara is feisty, strong, and alone. She is human, she is a spell caster.
Morgan is charming and faithful. He is Meiores-Meiore, a Shapeshifter, and Telepath of dangerous persuasion. He is the trainer of Kings and Queens.
Amara is one who sees signs, following them no matter where they lead. When she stops in De Suet, encounters with a cloaked stranger make her question if he has some place in her future.
Morgan does not dream, but flits from one mind to another until something catches his attention and Amara’s nightmares prove to be unavoidable. The sights of charred flesh should have stopped him, but a glimpse of his property brings the conclusion that Amara’s people need her.

In Dreams The Road Unavoidable Book 1

As Amara travels through the city of De Suet, she meets Morgan on her journey after being banished from her homeland by her own mother, the high priestess, when her mother finds out Amara is capable of "magic". Morgan also has supernatural abilities one being able to enter dreams of those he is around. Although he isn't fond of Amara, he finds himself caught up in her dreams.

Together they come up with a plan to achieve both their desires. Amara is to bring back a husband who will serve as high priest after she proves she isn't using magic and Morgan wants to retrieve a necklace that belonged to him long ago that he suspects someone in Amara's homeland possesses.

The phrase "man's world" certainly doesn't apply to this place as men's only purpose is for breeding and are subject to being beheaded for only a small indiscretion. Yet Morgan has no fear as he feels certain that no one is capable of harming him.

S.I. Hayes writes a fascinating fantasy as she paints you a beautiful picture in text. In many parts of her book, her description of the places are described so precise that it is easy to imagine you are there. I love her well-developed characters and can't wait to read more about the progress in Amara and Morgan's relationship.

This is a great story, and I highly recommend this book to everyone of all ages. You'll be intrigued by the characters and wanting more at the end. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the saga.

"Richly Colored World Of Dreams”

Some weeks ago, I had the greatest of privileges to be introduced to a bright young writer by the name of S.I. Hayes. Instantly the air was electrified by the creative flow surrounding this particular author.

S.I. Hayes has an immense talent for details and a very vivid imagination in creating her own aspects of every facet she describes. As a reader, you are quickly absorbed and captivated by the landscapes and the world that has been created before your eyes.

Amara displayed in her vibrant flowing fabrics is a warrior set to wander on a journey of penance. However, she is not to meander forever alone for her dreams will set a pace and an unwanted meeting.

Almost at the end of her journey and at a place where the queen’s sting should finally leave her flesh she meets Morgan. Morgan found himself driven to Amara by her nightly visions. They all but seemed to speak to him directly, even through Amara’s broken sleep. The two are not matched by the stars but by a common quest that will set the friction between them even higher.

If your mind seeks the distant journey of walks unknown, then I urge you to reach for S.I. Hayes ‘In Dreams The Road Unavoidable’.

I received this book from the author in return for a fair and honest review.

The adventure continues in book 2 of this set. Amara meets, and is joined, by Morgan - a man who frustrates her most of the time. She is making her way home after her year of exile has finished and stops in a place called De Suet where she stays for a while. Unfortunately for her, she dreams rather loudly and Morgan, who is a mind-reader, is sucked into her dreams. Not only does he see things that she doesn't but he also see a necklace that he owned and wants back. So the two of them prepare to make their way back to the Isle and make changes, no matter what that might entail.

The mixture of modern technology with medieval style fantasy is still in full swing and you will see characters from the previous book too. This is very well written and is rich in imagination whilst definitely not being your 'run of the mill' fantasy.

We continue to travel with Amara during her exile from her island, one her mom sent her to. On this journey she meets Morgan, a man that is like herself. Together they make a plan that works for both of them to get what they want, Amara must bring back a husband to a land that men are only used for mating purposes and get punished for the smallest things. Morgan wants to retrieve a necklace that is thought to have been stolen and located on the Isle. SI Hayes writes a beautiful new world to travel to.

"The Unavoidable Roads" by S. I. Hayes

My Speculation:

"The Unavoidable Road" picks up from the nicely from the first read 'The Solitary Road' where we find Amara's story continuing on her journey back home. On this trip, Amara will encounter Morgan as this journey that will make this trip quite 'adventurous, fun, and self-discovery.' Be ready as we meet some intriguing characters as Amara learns more about her 'gifts.'

I enjoyed Morgan with his supernatural ability to enter into dreams of whom he was around. When these two come together, will they be able to achieve the plan they both so desire? With Amara to bring a husband back home that will serve as high priest and not using her magic and will Morgan wanting to retrieve a necklace that had belonged to him long ago, will this happen for them?

Well, to get how this story will end, we will have to pick up the last In Dreams Series Book 3 'The Savage Road.' I do look forward to more of Amara's and Morgan's story.

Book 2 picks right up. We follow Amara and her journey across the lands meeting new characters and place.
It has little both old world and new world. She learning about herself and her gifts she has year to make plans on what to do when she gets back. And she meets Morgan he is many thing's. Amara and Morgan has long journey ahead of them. These two both stubborn and funny at the sametime. But both have their own plans when they get back to her home land.

Will they be able to work together help save her people?

This is book two in the series and we find Amara slowly headed home. Enter Morgan who joins Amara on her journey. There is adventure, suspense, fun, and a few WTH moments as these two make their way across the lands headed to her home. We meet interesting creatures along the way as Amara learns more about controlling her "gifts". Can't wait to jump into book 3. I would recommend this series.

IN DREAMS THE UNAVOIDABLE ROAD (in dreams 2)
by S. I. Hayes

In this book Amara has been banished from her homeland and is traveling around biding her time for her banishment but also deciding who she is and what she want to be. She will meet many different characters and question many different things along her journey of self discovery. Some will show her how strong she is as a woman and as a next inline ruler and other will have her questioning herself wondering if she really want to do what she has alway said she would do for her people. I really loved watching Amara grow in this book she really shows that she can become the strong compassionate woman she will need to be to rule her lands and although she meets up with Morgan and finds him frustrating at times she knows that people are put in her life for a reason and to make sure she knows what that reason is for he just might be the one to hand her back what she wants most and save her in the process.

** I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book for my honest opinion **

In Dreams: The Unavoidable Road: 3.5 stars

Amara's story picks up quite nicely in this second book. It pulled me in a little more then the first book. Amara and Morgan meet and begin together a new kind of journey that I didn't exactly see coming. But once they started I wasn't surprised by why they were headed that way. Amara is strong and seems to know what she wants. Yet I felt that Morgan complimented her nicely.

All the details and easy flow of this book make it easy to be drawn in to this epic world of fantasy. I look forward to more of Amara's and Morgan's story.
