I was born and raised in Leeds, West Yorkshire. Wanting to escape life in a big city and concentrate more on working to live than living to work, I moved to the Outer Hebrides in the north-west of Scotland in 2004 and I have lived there ever since with my wife and dogs.
I write post-apocalyptic, sci-fi, dystopian and horror fiction. I’ve released fifty one books across six different series - Safe Haven, The End of Everything, Unsafe, Relentless, The Burning Tree and Scares in Scotland.
In addition, most of my titles are now available as audiobooks narrated by Kim Bretton, so if you’re one of the many people who struggle to find the time to read, you can listen on the go.

Christopher Artinian is one of my favorite authors and this book is another in his awesome lineup! In a lot of cases, a series tends to get boring or lose strength as it goes on, but that is never the case with his books.
Redemption is growing as a community, but they are now facing a horrible winter. Will they be able to survive? And, as usual, the peace that they are slowly starting to find is shattered by a megalomaniac who wants total power! The community of Infinity, which Callie and her friends rely on for trading is taken over by the Administration and things will never be the same.
You can never be sure who is friend or foe when you live in an apocalyptic world and that is tested throughout this book. Those who seem to have changed their ways have to revert to their former (often evil) past in order to save their way of life. But, will those who have come to think of them as friends be able to overlook the things they do in the name of community?
The author weaves in some social commentary in this series and this book is no exception. But, it is not done in a preachy manner and works perfectly in this context. I think that we would all do well to heed some of the warnings here.
I appreciate the fact that the characters I have come to consider as friends have weaknesses and problems and aren't just one-dimensional heroes/heroines. The facts of depression, suicide and hopelessness are totally believable and really bring this story to life. I can't wait to see what happens next with Callie and her friends!
Kim Bretton does her usual amazing job with the narration and her different voices for the characters makes them even more personal. She has the perfect pacing and adds a lot to this book.
Once again just wonderful. From a single to a trilogy and now a series which keeps growing.
Number six, part one of The Burning Tree series.
Once again as things start going good humanity finds a way to destroy all the good that was accomplished.
What else can I write about the author Christopher Artinian and his amazing imagination which I haven’t written yet after reviewing over thirty audiobooks written by him ?
That he is an amazing author with excellent penmanship style that once you start reading or listening to, taking breaks are almost impossible all the way till the ending.
He is truly a magician when it comes to his storytelling. Expected and unexpected TWISTS. MY full appreciation for letting me in !!!
As usual Kim Bretton narrates perfectly each of the characters in this creation like she does on all.
An absolute masterpiece, with much craving for more.
Without a doubt, this book also got my full recommendations !!!
Oded Ostfeld.
PS: Here is hoping for a soon release of part two. The Burning Tree POWER # 2.
This is the next instalment about the survivors of an asteroid that hit the Earth, and wiped out life as we know it.
Even though I found it a little slow to start, I knew that it would hook me eventually. It did, and when that happens my reading hours increased!
Callie and co, have to endure a hard winter and if that isn’t a struggle enough, they receive some bad news. This is where the story really hots up. Suddenly, we are strongly reminded of book one in the series. Now a fight begins…
Although I enjoyed it, there were too many people to keep up with. Apart from the main characters, I had a little trouble remembering who everyone was.
Overall, Christopher Artinan does a great job in keeping this story going, and even more so keeping readers entertained with engaging protagonists and exciting storylines. I highly recommend this whole series.
Audiobook: I was entertained by book 6 of "The Burning Tree" series. Winter has come to the people of Redemption. Winter's weather tested their survival skills. Besides the weather, another challenge was growing on the horizon that the residents of Redemption would be called upon to overcome or risk everything. The worldbuilding for this series has been extensive. My liking for some of the characters has increased. My admiration of the Machiavellian nature of the plot twist has escalated. I can't wait for the next installment of this series. Kim Bretton's narration was awesome, and her performance enhanced my enjoyment of the story. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.
I’m usually sat waiting for a new one of Chris’s books to come out, I was in the depths of a reading funk when this was first released and nothing was going in, that is until I finally started to read Power, I haven’t been able to put it down since I started and it has brought back to life my love of reading. Absolutely awesome story and so many ups and downs for the whole of redemption. Can’t wait to read the next part. Thank you Chris you’ve awoken my book worm once again
I’m always left wanting more! Good thing Artinian is such a prolific writer, I usually don’t have to wait a super long time for the next installment of any of his series. This series is just as good as his others! You will love the characters. The sarcasm and the love between everyone is probably exactly like you and your friends or family members. You will laugh and probably cry, I did. Ready to see what becomes of salvation, redemption and all of the people involved in this series. Kim Bretton is my favorite narrator. She can do no wrong!
Absolutely loving these books, each one takes you on the ride of your life, living in an apocalyptic burnt world is’nt easy but Callie and co make it work…. Sadly there is always somebody ready to try to tear them down….. highly recommend a read, it’s got everything you want, fear, compassion, humanity, hope and a little hate for the powers that be. The author has a way of making you feel like you really know these ppl. Can’t wait for the next instalment.
I was on edge all the way through this book. My emotions were all over, from extremely angry to happy then to very upset, then around they went again, it was like being in a tumble dryer. And then when I noticed this was book 6 Part One, arrrrrrgh, now I have to wait for the next book to read what happens. Christopher please please don't make me wait too long.
An amazing instalment in the series which I devoured in one sitting, and disappointed I finished so fast and depressed over waiting for part 2! It was fast paced and action packed with some fantastic plot twists that kept me guessing, and full of my favourite characters, Callie and Phils relationship alway makes me giggle, and Greenslade always surprises me, though I was starting to get irritated by Chloe's whining. Fantastic narration as always, I can't wait for the next book.
Well I’ve read a lot of Christopher’s books, not a zombie in site on this series, when I started reading I didn’t know if I would like it, well how wrong was I. I have just finished the last one and was very disappointed, no not disappointed in the book but because it was the last one.
I think there could be many more and hope the author doesn’t disappoint me my not writing more Burning tree books
OMG you just never know what this author is going to write! You can’t anticipate or second guess! It’s an amazing series that you can’t put down! So good I’ve got it all on audio book too! I also highly recommend Safe Haven and The end of everything by this author. All incredible series
Artinian has given us yet another character driven, emotionally charged tale that will have you on the edge of your seat waiting for what's to come. Bucks and his Salvation minions are gearing up to get revenge on Redemption but Callie, Drake and the others will not give up until they are victorious or dead. I highly recommend this book and series.
What a fantastic series this has turned out to be . A real page turner. The war is coming and callie and her friends will have to do everything in their power to make sure that Salvation don't win . They have worked hard to survive and will fight to the death to keep what they have built .
Chris never fails to deliver action, world building and character development with every book Winter weather, and The human pursuit of power is forcing the settlers to reevaluate their future Kim once again, does a stellar job with the narration A realistic dystopian series that will have you hooked 5stars
Once again Christopher has not disappointed. When an author can instantly make you invested in the characters, bring out all your emotions and make it impossible to stop reading although you also dont want to come to the end .....he's smashed it !
Christopher, you never disappoint. This is a great extension to the series. I can’t wait for the next sequel to this story. You never fail to amaze me with your amazing storytelling. I can’t wait for the next sequel.
Mr Artinian has written another amazing, thrilling and riveting story. The very real threat and inevitable war against Redemption makes for a nail biting read from beginning to end. Fantastic series. Have no doubts that part 2 will be just as brilliant.
Another great read from start to finish and has you completely hooked from page one! Builds you up nicely for part 2 and keeps you wondering on how it will end. A brilliant edition to the series and can’t wait for the next part. Thanks Chris
Bring on part 2 quick. It’s like watching a program and it concludes at a very exciting part and you realise you have to wait. Aaarrrggghhhhh. Fantastic. Redemption is really picking up. Please, please, hurry part 2
Awwww... Callie is once again getting into stuff, I got a good idea ,lets????You will have to read on to find out what callie,Si,and all the rest are getting into now,And you will not be disappointed.
The characters in this book are so perfectly imperfect it’s frustrating. I’m sure we are going to hit a crescendo in the storyline soon and this anticipation has me flying through the pages. Thanks again Christopher
As soon as I saw this title had been released, I rushed to download it via Kindle Unlimited. So far, I’ve enjoyed every book in this series. This one was no exception.
The people from Salvation now face the worst winter they’ve ever seen. As they are recovering from the brutality of a blizzard, bad news arrives at their doorstep.
As with the other books, there are a myriad of characters, and new ones are added into the mix. Which can be a bad thing, because it’s hard to remember who everyone is, and they start losing their individuality. Which means they all start talking the same.
However, it was nice to see Callie have doubts about herself and the role she plays in Redemption. She’s actually taken a back-step to give her mother more control, though it’s more for show then anything else.
But an enemy they knew they’d have to face, eventually, rears it’s ugly head and totally disrupts the world the people of Redemption have been striving for. Some of them are forced to turn back into the people they were in Salvation to try and get an upper hand.
As with book 5 of this series, this one isn’t as action-packed at the beginning, but once it starts ramping up, you won’t be able to put it down. After the ending of this book, I can’t wait to see what happens next.
If you love dystopian novels with underdogs and villains, you’ll want to read this series. I give it 4 stars.
