Alexander Hamilton, a second-generation law enforcement officer is deeply ingrained in the fabric of the law. Raised beneath the enduring shadow of his father, a steadfast small-town police chief, Hamilton's life has been molded by relentless scrutiny, exacting standards, and towering expectations. However, an unforeseen injury sustained in the line of duty thrusts him into a realm far darker and more illicit than his father ever confronted.

Amidst the outskirts of town, Molli Sitara finds herself entangled in the gritty world of illegal and illicit activities. The allure of quick money and easy access to drugs draws her into a life of loveless transactions. Yet, her reality takes a perilous turn when an ill-fated night brings her face-to-face with a formidable figure—Officer Hamilton. With his piercing green eyes and a tangled history, Hamilton's presence stirs up memories of their shared past, where love and passion were once shared.

As their worlds collide once more, Hamilton discovers that Molli is not only caught in the crosshairs of her own precarious choices but also targeted by a ruthless cartel captain and former lover. Fueled by a desire to safeguard Molli and driven by an unwavering commitment to justice, Hamilton must navigate the treacherous line between his duty as an officer and the growing passion he feels for his first love. Racing against time, he's forced to confront the shadows of his town, unraveling a web of corruption that threatens to consume everything he holds dear, all while protecting the one woman who has ignited his heart again.

Hamilton is a single POV, second chance, small town, forced proximity, cop/hero romance containing dark themes. Content warnings are available on the author’s website.

First book I read by Gigi Meier and I loved it! Though I would have liked the book included the trigger warnings as there are sensitive and dark themes: Substance abuse, Sexual exploitation and human trafficking, Corruption, Drugs, Violence, Blood, Self-harm, and Self-esteem problems. The build up romance between Alex and Molli is one of the best parts of the book. They have to learn to trust each other again in order live a second chance romance. Highly recommend.

This is my 4th book by Gigi, and I think it's probably my favorite! I love Hamilton! Hamilton is a Boy Scout, a rule follower police officer, tough guy on the outside but vulnerable and a teddy bear on the inside. When his high school sweetheart leaves without saying goodbye, he tries to live his life with the walls he has built. Years later, when she returns, Hamilton does whatever it takes to protect her and keep her safe. Gigi's writing is so amazing and engaging. She does her research and writes characters that are so easy to love and root for. And she definitely brings the spice 🌶🌶🌶

This was an ARC read, supplied to me through Booksirens. This in no way affects my review or opinion.

The blurb is really great for this one, and the cover is tootin hot.
I have loved reading the previous books, also as ARC's through BookSirens.
Granny Hamilton!
Well, hes not so granny in this , his story. We learn a lot about Hamilton in this book, about how he was as a kid, but most of all about his first love! One he's never really gotten over.
I was looking forward to this story, hoping for an ARC, but once I started reading it, I was a bit deflated. I didn't feel the spark between Hamilton and Molli. (with an I). It felt more like dependence on her part, and duty on Hamiltons. That made me a bit sad. Poor Hamilton seemed to carry the guilt of what had happened to Molli, and with her having been so young at the time, it felt as if she needed someone to rely on to be there for her.
But all in all it was a good read, and Officef Hamilton got his HEA, even though it wasn't quite what I would have chosen for him.
I really enjoyed the catch up views at the end, epilogues if you want. They were just far enough ahead of the story, that they fitted in, and finished the story off nicely.
I'm looking forward to the next installment, Isla's story! based a little bit down the track. It would be great to see a prequel, too, featuring Isla's dad's??

Before anyone asks about the crying I did in this book, the first 20% really hit hard for me as I could see if from my own perspective. as a police wife, It’s my greatest fear having to go through that. My heart hurt.. a lot! I actually had t discuss it with the author before I read it incase it was too much of a trigger for me.
The first half of the book does a lot of character and world building, and sets up for the rest of the book to take off running!
The action really starts to take off from 60% mark and even had a couple of gasp worthy moments!
Really enjoyed this one but still prefer Dani and Tomlin! (Books 1 & 2)

Hamilton by Gigi Meier is the third book in her series following the group of friends we met in Tomlin (book one) and Takahashi (book two). Alexander Hamilton is our attractive, boy next door police officer with a penchant for doing the right thing.

In the first pages of the book, Hamilton suffers from injuries on the job and loses a friend in the line of duty, which sends him on an internal spiral of grief, whys and what if’s. He ends up reconnecting with his high school love, who works as a prostitute now, and his protective behavior is displayed throughout their relationship (along with his like of rough fun 😜).

Hamilton’s character is such a sweetheart. He has the personality of a golden retriever when he’s with Molli, he’s a protector, and there is a redemption storyline within these pages that will make you cry.

Molli has been through a lot since she’s left home, gone to LA, and returned. She struggles from a lot of anxiety and PTSD, but she’s strong and brave.

As per Gigi’s style, this is a slow burn (but we didn’t have to wait two books!!) with tropes such as second chance lovers, police officer romance, alpha male, and damaged female character.

Thank you, Gigi, for the wonderful opportunity of reading the advanced copy. This review is my own.

Soulful,romance and suspense!!!!!

This story is full of suspense and romance. The characters are emotionally flawed and resonated in my soul. The only problem I found with this book was that in several places the author used the wrong words or tenses, like page 54 where she used pittance when in the sentence she meant Pennatence and page 54 again where I am sure she meant Star Wars but had Stars Wars which distracted me from the story. But all in all this story was heartfelt, emotional and I enjoyed it immensely. I recommend this book to everyone over seventeen who loves suspenseful romance stories.

Oh, how I have been waiting for Hamilton's story since the moment he was first introduced to us and GiGi Meier did NOT disappoint. I think this is my favorite book by her so far! Which just gets me more excited for what book she has coming our way next.

I have been rooting for Alexander Hamilton to get his happily ever after right from the start. In what is becoming typical GiGi Meier fashion, she made me immediately care about Hamilton as a character and had me completely rooting for him and swooning at the same time. The man is such a teddy bear! And the epitome of a good cop. The walls he built around his heart were completely understandable but I sure did enjoy reading all about them coming crumbling down.

Plus, I am such a sucker for a good second chance romance. There is just something about the characters already knowing each other so well and coming back together. It just seems like such a natural progression of a relationship and GiGi always keeps me hooked with how she does relationship and character arcs. I also loved Molli and GiGi had my heart breaking for her when her past and the traumas that she had been through. Their relationship was absolutely incredible and the suspense had me on the edge of my seat right until the end.

While there are some characters present from GiGi Meier's previous installments, this one can absolutely be read as a standalone. I definitely recommend this book, and of course this author to anyone looking for an incredible romance that will take you on an emotional roller coaster ride and have you hooked on characters who have been through hell and back and are just trying to find their happy.

Was very much looking forward to Alex Hamilton's book I have to say.

It was an intense and yet enjoyable read. I love the depth this author takes us into the characters and story line. You can't help buy invest in this story / series.

Alex Hamilton is the type of boyfriend everyone would like to have. He loves hard and he was everything I hoped he would be. Plays a little rough and was awfully steamy!!

The little parts we read in the two previous books, showed he was a straight up guy and friend everyone should have in their lives.

It was great to read his back story and find out more about him and his family and his first love and his best friend. (Is it too early to hope there might be a story for him???)

Molli was an interesting character and it was good to read her progress and growth through this story. To find out what happened back when they were younger was interesting if not a bit of a surprise I have to say. Didn't really see that coming.

It was awesome to read Dani and Tomlin in this story. Dani is just so passionate about the people who mean the world to her. Still so cute how Tomlin calms her.

Overall, an enjoyable additional to this great series. Am so pleased I came across this author. Have been really impressed with the 3 books I have read.

👮Second Chance Love
👮Trauma Healing
☠️ Police Shooting
☠️ Drug Abuse
☠️ Physical Abuse

I enjoyed Hamilton's Story. It is about second chances, healing and unconditional love. It is a beautiful story of healing and supporting those you care for. I loved that Dani and Tomlin made appearances in this book as well.

Hamilton is a police officer in the small town he grew up in who is on leave following a robbery gone wrong. His high school love Mary Ann comes back into his life in a way and at a time he wasn't expecting. Can they work together to heal the wounds or will the truth rip them apart?

Honestly, I thought that the climax of the story resolved a little fast for the way it was built up in the book. However, I still enjoyed reading it and would recommend it to others.

Huge shout out and Thank you to Gigi for allowing me to ARC read this book for her. 🥰

Please check TW and CW. Gigi Meier will give you characters that are have gone through some major stuff in their lives. She does this do well, you get sucked right into the book and I couldn't put it down. This is part of an interconnected series but can be read as a standalone, but highly suggest reading in order. Hamilton is that person that wants to see the good in things. I liked him when he showed up in the earlier books and was happy he got his own book so we could see what his past and ultimately his future is about. I loved that Molly was someone of his past that was left open. To hear about what happened and why too omg killed me.

Can you forget your first great love? Some can, but Hamilton can't.
This third book by GiGi Meier about Alexander "Alex" Hamilton was a little "heavy" at first, but after about 50% into the book, it grabbed me.
I love Hamilton. He is a policeman who has his heart in the right place and will do anything for those closest to him and especially for Molli (with i), who was and is his first and greatest love.
It is a standalone book, but I would recommend that you read "Tomlin" first, then "Takahashi" and then "Hamilton", as the characters repeat themselves in the book.

I enjoyed this book, but I had to rate it 4 stars. I did not feel a connection or spark between Hamilton and Molli. I love him, but didn’t care really for her. He is such a caring, giving, good guy. The plot was very well developed. It’s a second chance romance with prostitution, death, drama, a bit of action, suspense and s*x. Oh, and Dani is my Fave character. *this was a complimentary copy and this is my honest review*

I enjoyed this second-chance romance with suspense and drama. The MCs are defined and have chemistry and issues to overcome. Although this book is a standalone, I believe reading the books in order would give more enjoyment.

The beginning of this book gripped me HARD. I can’t even tell you how much I fell in love instantly with Hamilton. However, the last 15-20% were slow and painful. It came to an obvious end and it almost felt rushed but also too long.
