DROWNED AT DAWN

Rate this book
Tracy Sterling is back in the latest mystery thriller from RJ Law.

Prepare for a journey into the heart of the swampland, where the waters are dark, the locals are guarded, and the truth is as elusive as the morning fog.

Deep in the swamplands of South Carolina, where the trees weep moss and the locals guard their secrets closely, a new case has emerged from the murky depths. The body of a young woman lies in the grip of the marsh, her last moments spent in a frenzied flight through a suffocating wilderness. Her death is only the first layer of a complex puzzle, pulling Tracy Sterling into a mire of deceit, shadows and eerie southern gothic dread.

Tracy finds herself a stranger in a strange land. The big city bustle and dark alleys of New York are a world away, replaced with the deceptive tranquility of swamplands, where unsettling winds whisper thought the Spanish moss. But Tracy is no ordinary outsider; she is a skilled investigator with a knack for uncovering uncomfortable truths.

In this small, isolated town, the locals close ranks, their tight-lips shuttered by a blend of fear, tradition and an ingrained distrust of outsiders. But what are they hiding? As Tracy delves deeper into the case, she begins to sense a sinister undercurrent running beneath the town's quiet facade.

From the initial investigation of the murder scene to the discovery of a web of twisted connections, Tracy faces one daunting challenge after another. With each step, she sinks deeper into the swamp's enigma, unearthing secrets long buried under layers of deceit, old grudges and hushed scandal.

"Drowned at Dawn" is a taut, suspenseful mystery thriller, pulling readers into a world of unsettling tension, deep-rooted secrets, and shocking revelations. If you loved the relentless pulse of "Lies and Bones," prepare for a journey into the heart of the swampland, where the waters are dark, the locals are guarded, and the truth is as elusive as the morning fog.

She shock her head and looked down the road, as dawns rosy fingers touched the edge of the world, where another teaspoon dipped into the ocean, and the night gave way to the budding dawn.

Ultimately, it’s like trying to empty the ocean with a teaspoon. It’s impossible in the end.

Tracy is tenacious! She never gives up whether there's physical or emotional abuse. Hopefully, no one thinks all small towns are run by pompous fools.
