Lisa Freed has written a 5-star book. This is the story of Katie and Brett. Brett has been away from home for the past fifteen years except for the few times he went home between deployments. He gets a call from his friend Mike. They talk for a few minutes when Mike asks if he is going to be staying with his parents. Brett says that he is staying at the hotel while he is there. Mike tells him that he can stay at his house since he will be out of town for the next two months. Brett gets to Mike's house but realizes that he doesn't have the key. He looks around for the key and when he finds it, he goes in. He can understand why Mike would want to sell the house. Brett goes to his parent's house to surprise them. When he gets there, Julie, his sister is the first one to see him. She runs up to him and hugs him. After his mother and father hug him, his father tells him they are going out for dinner to celebrate Katie's new business. Brett looked at Katie and said, "New Business?" Julie tells him that Katie has just opened up an interior design studio. At dinner, Brett wants to know more about her business. He tells her that he wants to hire her to do his house. She tells him that they will have to meet to discuss things. They set a time to meet the next day. Brett has had feelings for Katie but never let her know. She had a crush on him since she was younger. She had one night with him after he graduated and after he ignored her for the summer. She is still mad and hurt over that. She wants to know why he is back in town and with her. He tells her that she is what he wants. She tells him that she wants to take things slow. She agrees to do the house and she goes to work. She has taken some things over to the house and the next-door neighbor comes over and wants to know what she is doing there. She tells the man that she is there to help the owner Brett. He tells her that Mike is the owner and is out of town. Brett pulls up about that time and he has the man call Mike to see if he is telling the truth. Katie is upset over the lie when she finds out that the house was not really his yet. Brett tells her why he did what he did and she tells him that she needs some time to think.
Will Katie give Brett another chance?
This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

Katie met Julie when they were both five years old and have been inseparable ever since, she is as close to her parents as she is her own. The only member of the family that she doesn’t know very well is Brett, Julie’s older brother, he was already a teen when they moved to the small town and could not wait to get away. She had never given much thought to Brett as anything other than he was Julie’s big brother but when she turned thirteen and he came hom on leave that het hormones woke up and took notice and so a teenage crush began. It has been years since she last saw him and had thought that her silly infatuation had all but vanished. She is now twenty three and is finally about to open her own interior design business, they were all getting ready to celebrate when the biggest surprise walked in the room, Brett is back and looking at her like she is his next meal, but he is a playboy, she has heard all the stories that there are to hear about his love em and leave em reputation, but there is no way that he is looking at her that way. But what will happen when he hires her to decorate his new house, and is Brett really who and what he claims to be?
Brett has been living and working in the UK for the past year, after discharging from the armed forces he has been building his business in cyber security and has been rather successful at it. He is retuning home to visit, with his friend Mike away with his girlfriend so he’s housesitting and will get time to catch up with his family before he moves on to the next adventure. But everything changes the moment that he walks through the door to his childhood home his world changes forever. His little sisters best friend has grown up and is now the only woman meant for him. All of a sudden he pictures a family and staying in the small town he desperately wanted to escape. Needing her around he pretends to have bought a house that needs a complete do over, and she’s the person to do it. But how will Katie react when she discovers his lies and how will his family feel about him finding love with his sisters best friend.
Such a great read to disappear into and who doesn’t love a best friends brother romance. There wasn’t as much chemistry as normal in this book but still one heck of a 4* read

This is about to get complicated

He left a few years ago but has been taking contracts overseas in his specialty, cybersecurity. He has come back home to Perryville to visit his family and it is a surprise. When he was driving into town he was talking with his high school best friend, Greg, who told him to stay at his house, as he and his fiancee were away for the next two months. When Brett walks into the family home he not only surprises his family but also Katie May, his sister Julie's best friend. It seems Katie has grown up in ways that Brett was not expecting to see. Katie and Julie became best friends when they were five years old. They went through everything together and Julie's parents are her second set of parents. This is book number 3 of the Sweet & Sassy Curvy Girls series and focuses on Brett and Katie. Brett has always chased after the next adventure and stayed away from his hometown for the better part of his adult life. He left to join the military and then only came back to see his family in small doses until the next adventure caught his eye. He decided to come home and visit after his time overseas ended and wasn't expecting to find the true adventure he had been missing in his life. One look at Katie, his sisters now grown up best friend, he knows that she is the missing part of his soul. He did some extreme things to try and win her over but he knew what he wanted and went after it. I loved Brett and Katie together! This was a quick, lighthearted read. This was a great story and a great addition to the series.

Adoring My Best Friend's Brother is a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, age-gap, curvy girl gets her brother's best friend romance. Katie is a 23 year old curvy interior designer. Brett is a 33 year old hunky ex-military man and the older brother of her best friend. Katie has been crushing on Brett since she was 13, but when Brett comes home to visit for the first time in years, he sees Katie and instantly feels she's "the one." This was a super-steamy, super OTT story. The chemistry was hot 🔥 hot 🔥 hot 🔥. The drama was low, and the ending was super happy. This was a great short and spicy read. I can always count on a fast-paced, fun, and steamy read from Lisa. I loved it.

I loved Adoring My Best Friend's Brother : A Curvy Girl OTT Instalove Steamy Romance Book 3 of Sweet & Sassy Curvy Girls. Brett’s only hime for a few days, he isn’t meant to stay but when he sees his sisters best friend, Katie, he’s all in. One look and his whole figure flashes before his eyes. Now he’s having her redesign a house that’s not even his. Katie doesn’t know if she can trust her feelings for Brett, he’s usually a player. Is what they have real? I loved the storyline and the characters. It’s a short and steamy read. I would definitely recommend this book.

Wiedermal eine schöne Kurzgeschichte mit einer wechselnden Erzählperspektive beider Protagonisten und einem leichten, wenn auch deutlich fehlerhaften Schreibstil.
Auch in diesem Buch gab es wieder unmengen an Schreibfehler....
Da es sich auch hier wieder um eine Kurzgeschichte handelt, läuft die Handlung sehr schnelllebig ab und es geht nicht in die Tiefe. Dennoch bekommen wir einige Einblicke in die Gedanken der Protagonisten. Die Storyline dreht sich ausschließlich um die Prota's, andere Dinge oder Ereignisse sind eher schwammig gehalten.
Zu den Charakteren kann ich sagen das mich sowohl Katie als auch Brett überzeugen konnten.

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this quick story about Brett and Katie. He's her bff's older brother. He's been away in the army and is just returning from a job when he runs into Katie at his parents. She's turned in to a beautiful woman that he knows deep down will complete him. She's had a crush but since she's a bigger girl, there is no way he would go for her. So image her surprise. Even buying a house.

This short story has a teenage crush, not being completely honest, going after what you want, family and friendships. I have to say that Brett's way of making sure he had a chance to win over Katie was inventive, he's very lucky he had such good friends and that things worked out for him! I liked this story but personally would have liked a little more around their feelings for one another as I wasn't always totally convinced depth wise.

Katie's been crushing on her best friend's brother for as long as she's known him. Brett is home after the military to visit family but he never planned on staying until he sees Katie. This is a quick read but it isn't missing a thing. From the sweet instalove romance and great storyline to the likable characters, steam, and perfect ending this is a great addition to the Sweet & Sassy Curvy Girls series. I look forward to reading the rest of this series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Adoring My Best Friend's Brother is an adorable insta love novella that features, you guessed it, a girl falling in love with her best friend's brother. Not that this novella needed a third act breakup - its a novella and we're literally warned it super instant love, I just wish that the FMC had taken a day, maybe a few hours to forgive the MMC about lying to her about his living situation? Just the briefest pause?
But overall it was cute and a fun lil read.

Average best friend’s older brother romance. Short, quick read novella. Katie has had a crush on her BFF’s older brother, Brett since she was a teenager and he joined the army. Now he’s back in town and seems determined to make this now grown up, curvy girl, his! I enjoyed the book, but felt the characters lacked depth due to the shortness of the story. A reasonable read but I have preferred many of Lisa Freed’s other books.

O irmão da melhor amiga
Eu amo histórias com essa temática, mas apesar do livro não ter sido ruim, ele também não foi tão bom quanto imaginei que seria. Pouco desenvolvimento, ele era um mulherengo que não aguentava morar no mesmo lugar por muito tempo, sempre atrás da próxima aventura, que do nada quis casar e ter filhos com a mocinha. Não foi bem convincente esse amor dele por ela. Sei lá, faltou algo.

It’s interesting, this book was really well written until you get to the sex scenes, in my opinion it seemed like the author was either uncomfortable or unfamiliar in writing them. It was like I was reading 2 different books in one, which was a shame because it was really well written otherwise. It’s the only reason I have this book a lower rating.

This very short insta-love story while short, is steamy and definitely worth the read.

I loved this story. It was a fun and entertaining, with wonderful characters you can't get enough of, a great storyline, a little drama, awesome chemistry, and the best ending. So good. Very enjoyable.

Stand alone series. She's always liked her friend's older (10 years) brother but feels he's out of her league. He finally notices the curvy friend of his sister. She's starting out as a decorator. He's out of the army/sold security systems to the government. Novella-ish

This was a free book during stuff your kindle days. Wasn’t the worst book I’ve ever read but definitely not near the best book I’ve ever read. Was a quick easy read.
