In the shadow of an old Bacchus Hill, bricks and stone were the only things standing from a time long past and only a handful of men could recall its former glory. Among them were his bestfriend Alistair, ‘The Lion” Bacchus. Lennox Marshall was always his trusted confidant for all things related to ‘the hill.’ For them, past events carried both fond memories and haunting secrets, a time when men settled matters with their fists or raucous pub brawl. But in this new evolved world, life had turned into a mess of deceit, hidden behind computer screens, and cloaked in technology. Lennox, was a man of timeless values, clung steadfastly to the old ways of honor and respect.
Kiman Asher, his new night auditor, raised something in him and he was instantly drawn into her gaze. She sought solace within the hotel walls, fearing an unknown darkness. One fateful night, she sought refuge in Lennox's arms, after her past comes walking through the doors of his hotel and he felt an overwhelming need to protect her. Of course, as is their way, Lennox delves into her troubles, he discovered the shocking truth—an organization claimed she owed them a debt, one he was sure as hell not going to let her pay. Kiman now under his care and that of Bacchus Hill, Lennox abandoned caution. Love had awakened a savage recklessness in him, and he was ready to wage war. Lennox was ready to confront his past and unleash the depths his passion and wrath for his Kim. Sometimes the old ways were best, in situations like this and for the woman he loved. They would see a side of him many thought was long gone.

But the minute Kimman crawled into his lap and cried, Lennox Aidan Marshal knew that he would protect her and never let her go. So did everyone on the hill. When the past of Kiman came back to hunt her, the entire hill came together to protect her. Her cousin Samara was forefront in that protection and other women who were abused. Just the sighting of Kiman's abuser gave her the strength and courage to face up to the woman and group who not only abused her but so many other women. She was no long the frightened young girl she was when she was first taken, especially after she found out the circumstances of how she was abducted. She vowed to take down the human traficking group that was a part of her nightmares for years.
I just loved the relationship of this couple. Lennox was considered the "Beast of Bacchus Hill" but he was patient, gentle and oh so loving with Kiman. When ever he called her mo chridhe ( my heart) or sweetling I just swooned. He proved to her that he was a better man when she came into his life. There was no more you or me but an us, a one person in a union. He proved to her the inscriptions on their wedding ring " a wife is to man as air is to breathe." was his life. He earned the right for Kiman to call him her teddy bear.
I just love how Dahlia Rose wrote Kiman and Lennox's erotic sexy times. It was so swoon worthy and not trashy. Some authors take these scenes too far but she did them just right with class, love and compassion in their relationship.

WOW this is a amazing story! One that you will definitely enjoy. There is so much excitement with these awesome characters, they have such great chemistry. It's funny, thrilling and very passionate with parts that will bring tears to your eyes along with the drama element, but there is a lot of laughter and it's one thing I enjoyed the most! What I enjoyed is the time spent with of the couple their relationship is so beautiful and enjoyable ⭐I am totally devouring this series when I finished reading the last page, I still wanted more! I was so absorbed into how their relationship is developing, it wasn't a rushed tight story line either. The story just flows so smoothly . There's humour in parts of the story and their attraction towards each other is off-the-charts! Plus this is an all around amazing story to read. I am enjoying their journey. I'm so excited for the next book!😍💑💃Overall this is a five star story and series which l greatly enjoyed and again I'm excited about the next story.
I am absolutely in love with this series and everything about it!!! I love the chemistry between Lennox and Kimai and the fierce way that they love each other. I also loved the way Kimai rose up to fight against the horrible injustice done to her. This series is proving that age is just a number and you can find love at anytime, if you're willing to embrace it!!! I I can't wait for the next book to drop!!!
Rules. Laws. Regulations. Stipulations. Put it in a box and adorn it with a pretty bow. Trouble is, some things don’t fit in the box. Others can’t be controlled. Love, the act of loving someone and being loved in return, is a prime example. This novella that I waited on bated breath for, is highly recommended. It may have you rethinking your outlook on love!
2.25 Stars. (BW/WM). For $3.48 , I listened to over 6 hours of a vertical reading of this book.
Setting: Modern day Scotland in the Highland cities of Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness.
Trope: Damsal in destress. Age gap. Marriage of convenience. Employer/Employee romance.
Characters: 1. Lennox"the Beast" Marshall, hero, is a 52-year-old multi-billionaire entrepreneur and owner of a luxury hotel in the Mile High area of Edinburgh. 2. Kiman Asher, heroine, is a 35-year-old Ghanian who escaped a sex trafficking ring and is now employed by Lennox as his night auditor. 3. All the major characters and some of the minor characters for the previous two books.
This story follows the pattern of the first two books; except in this story, the romance comes out of the blue there is no lead up to this romance nor has the author present anything that shows any romantic chemistry between Lennox and Kiman. Lennox is portrayed as a dominant alpha male who will help and protect others especially women in dangerous and distressful situations-as is wont in this series. Kiman is shy and fearful when it comes to her enemies but lots of in your face tuff talk when it comes to her protector, Lennox. The romance between Lennox and Kiman seems forced and more awkward than romantic despite the reader being told how much they're in love. And have been in lust/love for over a year without every acknowledging it... neither suspected that there were shared unspoken romantic feelings for the other. In addition to the absence of any romantic chemistry between Lennox and Kiman, the pacing of the storyline is off as is the contrive violent drama and dysfunctional family.
I knew Lennox would be good based on his appearance in Alastair & Saul’s 📚, but chile, Ms Rose overdelivered & far exceeded my expectations 🥳This is by far the spiciest 🌶️🥵🥵🥵of the 3 Bacchus Hill Boys book ; and once again , I’m sorely tempted to pack by 🧳& head for the hills of 🏴 to find my own kilt wearing, dreamy , 💯 alpha Scotsman😍. Lennox is sheer perfection & a living dream of a man , who loves his Kiman with his whole ❤️ & protects her by all means necessary! 😀Kudos to the ✍🏼 for skillfully handling the difficult subject of trafficking with such sensitivity, tenderness & empathy , focusing on the resilience of the victims and what society can do to bring justice. I can’t wait for Rohan’s 📕! Happy Reading🍷
I enjoyed reading Lennox and Kiman's story. It was a good read, the only problem I had was with the grammatical errors which is a pet peeve of mine because it takes a bit of flow from the story. With that said I would absolutely recommend reading this book. I do love reading Ms. Rose stories because they are wonderful books to read. ❤👍📖
This was so funny, I love that Kiman would slap Lennox on his behind. The whole series make you want to travel to Scotland and try and find a man like them. A black woman protecting the ones she love 💕 can be scary anytime. I’ll be reading this whole series over and over again.
Another very good story in the series with a darker theme of human trafficking. Lennox is so in love with Kiman and will do anything to keep her safe. Kiman is a heck of lot stronger than she gives herself credit for. What I love about these men is how hard they work to keep the ones they love safe, and the village that also supports them.
I love this series. These men have no f's to give when it comes to their women. It goes both way. Kiman I think finally got through to him about the us part. Love seeing everyone in that family and can't wait for who is next. More babies please!
Another excellent read, a long awaited instalment to this series, but we'll worth the wait. Lovely storytelling with full characters, this has me laughing out loud in places. A sensitive subject delicately handled. I recommend.
Excellent series, lots of intriguing and exciting action. Heart pulsing drama, strong triggers and very brave survivors. Loving strong and endearing relationships, well written story. Love loved it can't wait for the next in the series.☺
So far this has been the best book of the series, don’t get me wrong but so far Lennox story was the best. I would have loved it more if Kidman had closure with her mom and sister. Looking forward to the next one.
