Would you make a deal with a big, grumpy troll? Trolls belong lurking under bridges, not in the arms of beautiful human women. That's what Hisondine tells me. He's not fooling me, though. I see the way he looks at me. I know the way he touches me. He’s huge and muscled and hard as stone. But that’s not the only thing about him that makes me feel safe. He treats me like I’m precious. I've been a companion to plenty of monsters, but I've never met one who makes me feel special the way he does. Despite our size difference, it's clear he can't stop thinking about me. So I'm going to do everything I can to make him mine, even if it's only fake dating. I should be smarter than this. I’m only doing this job to pay off my college debt. I know it’s just work and I shouldn't be feeling this way, but I can't help counting the hours until I see him again. But at the end of the day, it's not real. He's a billionaire and I’m an escort. So how do I turn this dream into a reality? Because I want the fairytale, but it’s not the prince I want to take home. It’s the monster!

❥ 𝑶𝒎𝒆𝒊𝒌𝒂 She is confident, funny and has a heart of gold. Liked her a lot.
❥ 𝑯𝒊𝒔𝒐𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒆 A big grumpy troll with a weakness for his girl? I‘m sold.
✥ 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒐𝒐𝒌 This book was amazing. The best in the series so far. I really enjoyed the story and loved the tropes. Omeika and Hisondine are great together. The tension, the banter and the smut is well done. Liked the confident side of Meike and the way she stands her ground against Dine. Both develop feelings quickly and it was adorable to read. This was an enjoyable monster romance with a lot of fluff, banter and lovely characters.
On a rainy day like this, what’s better than curling up on the sofa, snuggled up with my dog, a mug of tea, and one cosy monster romance after another? ☕🐶📖
Just finished my third book in this series, and once again it delivered exactly what the title promised. Everything was going great… until they decided to try for kids.
And now she’s laid an egg.
Yes. An egg. Because apparently, that’s how trolls do it 🥚✨
I had to pause. Stare out the window. Not because I hated it, but because I had to gather my composure real quick. This was definitely a thing I wasn’t prepared for, but I am weirdly fine with it.
Actually? Now that I think about it, it’s absolutely hilarious! 😂 A little bizarre, but who cares!
Still really enjoyed this read. Still living for this series. Still wondering how we got from flirty banter to egg incubation, but here we are 💁♀️
First book I've read in the series, will hopefully pick up more. Have decided not to read in order but to read depending on the monster. Sweet, spicy and entertaining. But volcano cum sounds terrifying, yet it was hot haha
I enjoyed this book just fine and I can’t say I’ve ever read a romance with a troll before so I was really excited to see how it would work out!!
Now, let’s get into the biology. Trolls have molten cores, and their... reproductive fluids are literally boiling. Their temperature is tied to their mood, meaning the angrier they get, the hotter they get..physically. Their rocky outer shells even crack when they’re feeling things too intensely. Oh, and since trolls hatch from special soil, there’s a whole ritual involved if a non-troll wants to survive sleeping with one. The process? Just a little light grave-digging in the dirt they were born from, a magic spell, and boom, you’re bonded for life and immune to the fire jizz. Which seems like important information. Too bad our troll MMC conveniently “forgets” to mention the whole forever-mated part before she does it. Real smooth 😬.
Overall, I enjoyed it. Their slow-burn romance was adorable and they both works out so well!! I also adored that he’s so careful with her, but compared to the other two books I’ve read from this author it was a bit weaker too me. And I really couldn’t stand the amount of penance calling they did her (it wasn’t even a good one just „baby“ felt s bit off here). But aside from that? A fun, unique monster romance. Worth picking up!!
Quick cute & cozy monster romance with a protective cinnamon roll troll MMC🩶
If you are looking for an MMC who’s completely obsessed with his FMC, showering her with attention, love and only caring about her pleasure, this one is for you!!
‼️Be aware: he has 🔥LAVA cum 💦‼️ but don’t worry, there’s a ritual so no one gets hurt🫶🏻
I enjoyed it. This was my first book about trolls and it was interesting. I wish it was a little longer because I think the ending finished quite abruptly.
Fantastic!! 🤩🤩 So loved this pair! 😍😍 A strong, no nonense woman and her fiesty Troll!!! I want one!! :D Omeika is another escort from Monstrous Deals. Hisondine is a very wealthy Troll and he meets Omeika after his car sprays water over her. He feels a connection but as they build their relationship, he is hesitant. I loved her sass and determination in getting their joint pleasure. There is a 'not so 😈 nice' client that does cause problems, but is soon dealt with. This story had me chuckling often and angry with the bad guy. But it is a great story with 🌶🌶🌶🌶, an interesting 🍆 and upon downloading, read it straight away. I can't wait for more of these characters; new pairings and journeys to HEA's. :) Thank you Ami for a wonderful, fun series. Just 💜💜 them!!
One star off for using pet names too much, another star off for having them be too healthy I needed more angst or miscommunication or something I’m sorry!!! But I loved the MMC, the Lorcan to 7ft troll pipeline is real
Per usual, this Monstrous Deals book was predictably sweet. This time around, there's a long term escort who finds her match in a large, grumpy troll. I'll be honest, I don't think I've ever read a story that involved a troll (at least not in a positive capacity), and it was pretty interesting all the aspects the author came up with. And yes, I'm aware that at it's heart, it's just about monsters banging and I'm here for that too. Even though I know these stories end with a HEA, I was really rooting for the two of these characters to get theirs. Very unique names in this story as well, and I'm 100% sure that I mispronounced them in my head.
So trolls have a molten core and boiling spunk. How hot they get seems to be linked to their tempers as well, and vice versa. The author also makes several mentions of an "outer shell" cracking, so it would stand to reason that they're kind of rocky as well. Which I guess makes sense because they're born from an egg that needs to fertilize in specific soil. Back to the boiling hot jizz ... apparently there's a ceremony that a potential partner can go through to be able to tolerate the fire semen. She just has to go lay in the dirt that the troll was born from, say some magical words, and she's immune to the fiery baby batter. Given the fact that all trolls are male, you'd think there would be more same sex couple trolls, since any female they're with have to go through this ritual in order to bone. Even more so if you factor in that this dirty ritual also links them to that troll forever, because it mates them up as well. Which our troll doesn't tell his partner about before she rolls around in the dirt ... because he doesn't think she'll go through with it if he does tell her. Because that's a smarter option ....
The FMC of this story is a Librarian and an escort, and I enjoy the juxtaposition of those two jobs. I was straight up pissed the hell off when her job fires her for trying to teach teens about safe sex. But loved the idea of Omeika writing her own book about mating rituals of monsters. Seems like in a world where monsters are out and more humans are getting together with monsters, it would be super useful to have something like that.
Anyway - I liked this book, I thought it was sweet that Omeika takes things slow with our troll MMC because he's nervous about hurting her in any way. Did not love that she continually refers to him as "baby." Felt like their relationship was cheap in a way because of it. But I would recommend reading this. The whole series is a quick and easy read, and you're guaranteed to read some spicy scenes, no matter which book you choose. Make sure to read the trigger warnings at the beginnings!
If Tolkien ever taught us anything it was trolls and sunshine don’t usually get along, but this book proves otherwise.
A chance encounter helps our two lovers meet. On her way to a party, Omeika’s car breaks down, in the rain. With no other option but to hitchhike she makes her way along the road to be soaked by a passing luxury car, which then stops to give her a lift. It isn’t until the incredibly handsome, incredibly big and incredibly wealthy troll, Hisondine, steps out. Sparks fly, but nothing is done about them until Hisondine find’s out she works at a monster escort company, and he’s determined to get to know more about that pretty little human.
With passing homages to Pretty Woman, this is just such a sweet story. The grumpy, highly strung troll learning to let loose with his confident, fun loving woman. The scene at a rooftop restaurant is especially heart warming, he’s afraid of heights and she really wants a selfie with him. Despite his anxiety, he faces his fears, he can’t believe she would want a photo with him and he is utterly smitten. Omeika is scared to confess she wants more than an escort/client relationship, the monsters usually only partake in their services until they find their mate, what would make Hisondine any different. It is just a business arrangement after all. Does it make me want to yell “just talk to each other”? Yes, but does it make good reading? Also yes.
It’s refreshing to see sex work painted in a positive light, Omeika enjoys her job, and isn’t hiding it from her family, even though its only temporary to help pay off her student debt. The subject of problematic clients is covered well and boundaries respected. It’s also great to see the billionaire trope being used without it being outlandish or over the top. Hisondine treats Omeika to dinner at fancy restaurants, gets her some clothes (unexpected sleepover) and of course has a private jet, but that’s really the extent of him flashing the cash. The relationship would still be solid if all the money disappeared tomorrow. They would be just fine. Very wholesome.
I also enjoyed the way the spice level built up over time, you’d think having a main character be an escort meant there would be fucking from page one, but Hisondine has to restrain, there’s this small issue of his cum being molten hot and pretty dangerous to be anywhere near a fragile human body and then there's the problem of losing control due to him recognising Omeika as his mate, and once that clicks he’s a force to be reckoned with. This is all solvable, through a mating ritual at the volcano where he hatched, but anyway, once that's done and dusted, and our couple finally get to get it on, it’s fine. Nothing too risque or toe curling but a fun time nonetheless. Personally I like a bit more from my smut but it was well written and fit in with the vibes of the couple and the story. I did enjoy it when she had to tie him up. It’s nice to see a gal in control once in a while.
The ending (2) epilogues did seem rushed, and I don’t think it would have hurt to have them integrated into the actual story instead of just tacking them on at the end unless the word count was an issue. I definitely would have loved to see more of Omeika’s family.
I would absolutely bother with Treasured by the Troll. It’s tropey and a tale as old as time, but refreshingly positive in every way. If I was only after the spice I might give it a miss but its a well balanced read.
If you enjoy it there's also 7 other books in the same "Monstrous Deals" world!
Obviously, this book killed it in ratings for me, I loved everything about it and have read it twice since its release. The characters were real and likable, the plot 100% believable, editing on point, tension and pace perfect. It stayed light and positive throughout yet was very hot and entertaining.
Tropes: (obviously may contain minor spoils)
*Grumpy billionaire troll w/lava 🌋💦 (exactly what u think that means lol) *Sensual & curvy human escort/librarian (smart & sassy POC fmc) *Fun meet-cute in the rain *size difference *He's so massive he lifts her car by hand *v!rgin MMC; jealous, possessive, mine *Only her *Touch her and 💀 *Villains and secrets *Hot spice, dirty talk, & ⛓
Book description:
Hisondine is the perfect book boyfriend.
A huge beast of a monster that runs a billion dollar company. He's used to giving orders, being in control, and having everyone fear him regardless of his actions. Until one day it changes....
Omeika's had a string of bad luck, including breaking down in the middle of the road while on the way to a work party to secure a new long-term client. She decides to hoof it there and is splashed by some a-hole in a limo, and gives him a piece of her mind.
Hisondine is astonished that the beautiful woman not only isn't afraid of him but he smells her arousal and catches her trying to flirt with him.
Days go by and he can't stop thinking about her. So he books her through Monstrous Deals, she accepts, and he attempts to keep his possessive tendencies hidden since it's a job to her.
Until he tries to book her again the next day and finds out she's on a date with someone else....(Which leads into one of my fav scenes below, edited for better understanding)
________________________________________ He tracks her down to a restaurant and barges in, where Omeika whispers, “What are you doing here?”
“What are you doing here?” Hisondine scowls.
Omeika: I can’t help laughing. Before tonight I wouldn’t have said it was possible for a massive troll to pout, but I can’t think of a better way to describe his expression.
I gesture to Antonio, who is leaning back in his chair, enjoying the show. “I’m on a date. Which is why the app says I’m unavailable. What about you? Are you meeting someone?”
“Yes.” Hisondine turns, reaches out one long arm and snatches an empty chair from a nearby table and sits down next to me. The chair gives an alarming creak and Antonio’s expression turns from smug to outraged.
“Scusi, you can’t just sit down at my table.” He turns to the waiter, who looks distinctly uncomfortable. “Can’t you do something about this?” ________________________________________ 😂😂😂 Hilarious!! Read the book to find out what happens next, & if monsters get their HEA too.
🖤 “Omeika. My precious one. You are worth more than any treasure.” ~~~ Omeika is one strong and independent woman! And I really loved her sass, intelligence and confidence. Even more, I loved that she always spoke her mind, stood her ground and never hesitated to defend her views. Omeika is also kind, caring and a genuinely good person. She’s always wanted to be an author and her passion project is to write an encyclopedia of monsters. But to make ends meet and cover her student debt, this feisty librarian also has to work as an escort for Monstrous Deals. Omeika is absolutely awesome and I loved her so, so much!
Hisondine is the CEO and billionaire owner of Monolith Solutions and one incredible male! The charming troll is kind, caring, thoughtful and generous. Even more, he’s gentle, loving and considerate. Dine might be a bit grumpy and scowly, but as huge as he is, his heart is even bigger. And I quite loved his fierce protectiveness and delicious possessiveness. Dine is the biggest and most irresistible cinnamon roll and I couldn’t help but adore every single thing about him!
I absolutely loved everything that happened between Omeika and Dine! They met by accident and from the very first moment the big troll was smitten with the tiny woman. So, he eagerly books her services. But what started as a business arrangement, quickly became so much more. I loved those two together! I loved the tension, the banters, the teasing and every single moment they spent together! Even more, I loved all the ways Dine treated Omeika - always with kindness, consideration and support, and that he gave her the choice to be with him or not even though she was his fated one. And I loved Omeika for being so patient and understanding while helping Dine overcome his own doubts. And the spice! The spice was off-the-charts hot and I absolutely couldn’t get enough of all the passionate moments they shared! Ooooh, how can a woman resist a huge, smoking-hot and charming monster with special equipment that requires a special ceremony to be used for mutual pleasure?! Omeika and Dine were absolutely perfect for each other and I couldn’t get enough of either of them!
Overall, the story is another incredible addition to the series! It’s sweet, cozy and very, very naughty and all you monsterfudgers are going to absolutely love it. I sure did!
This has been my favorite among the series so far. It has a different feel. I love how this grumpy troll was tender and loving. The thought of Dine on the verge of rutting and losing his control to claim Meika, yet he fought it out of respect for her. Like, come on! I'm here for it. And Meika? I love how Ami created her as the perfect match for this grump. You know, sometimes I encounter some books where the characters have no chemistry at all, but Maika and Dine?! I felt their chemistry, their desire for each other, and the blossoming of their affection. The word 'perfect' is not even enough to describe how Ami successfully created them. I felt their story. Even the annoying character of a satyr antagonist—I was genuinely annoyed whenever he was on the scene. I felt Maika's boredom whenever she was with him. No wonder this book stands out for me among the series. Even the characters' names are perfection: Hisondine and Omeika. I love when an author says it's a monster romance and it actually delivers. I've stumbled upon some monster romance that only sends human mannerisms and characteristics, but not this.
I wasn't surprised I finished this book in one sitting. It's so difficult not to turn the pages when Hisondine and Omeika give you a 'rags to riches billionaire monster romance.' Meika is such a positive female character; she'll take you on a fun journey of making her grumpy fall in love. The way Ami finds a way to make the size difference fit... I'm telling you, she knows how to make her readers enjoy the desire of monster romance. Low angst, more of a cozy vibe, but touch her and you'll 💀 . High heat too. When Dine was tied up on bed.. ooof! 🔥And oh! Dine's 💦 is lava! How does that work? And how does Meika manage to enjoy it? It's the magic of Ami as a writer. She made it work!
ARC Review I absolutely love this series and trolls are my absolute favourite monster so when I saw this book coming up I was beyond excited and I wasn't disappointed, Wright has created yet another incredible story!
I think this is the most accurate portrayal of a troll according to Scandinavian folklore that I've seen so far in monster romance, I was so glad to see some research had been done, there's some fun references to various beliefs about trolls melded with him building bridges like in the popular children's story. Our troll Dine also looks a lot more like trolls are described in Scandinavia. But that's not the only great thing, Dine is maybe the best mixture of scary protective, very masculine and yet utterly sort of helpless and innocent that I've come across, he's So Cute!! He seems so confident and tough but when it comes to Omeika, he's suddenly doing a lot of stuttering, gaping and acting so shocked that she's okay with him, ugh, it's way too adorable! He gives the sort of stunned, awkward reactions that the twitterpated animals did in Bambi and that's exactly the kind of reaction I've always daydreamed getting from a guy. Dine is also a virgin! And a vegetarian, be still my veg heart! *swoon!* Omeika is a sassy but intelligent bookworm who's trying to work towards her dreams and keep her librarian job but is struggling. She's very caring with her troll and definitely is the experienced one in the relationship. I didn't care for her constant use of the nickname Baby for Dine though, that was my one complaint.
The story is as smutty and delicious and original as you've come to expect if you've read the others and there's a special ritual that must take place before they can be intimate, one of my favourite tropes! There's also a scummy little villain to cause some further issues.
Another steamy masterpiece, I just love this series!
Omeika, the female human lead, is moonlighting as an escort to pay off her student loans because being a librarian doesn’t pay that well. On her way to her escort agency’s drinks night, her car breaks down and Hisondine, the male troll lead and billionaire businessmale, directs his driver to pick her up. Realising where she’s going and unreasonably attracted to her, he creates a profile and hires her services - but just to watch; troll fluids burn unless a special (mating) ceremony has been undertaken…
But Hisondine’s business rival is taking personally the fact that Omeika chose Hisondine and he plans to take revenge on them both…
This story is dual POV, well written and edited, and a fast-paced, erotic, fantasy romance. I enjoyed the integrated secondary characters and the genuinely supportive nature of the escort agency’s employees. I enjoyed Omeika’s assertiveness and her pursuit in the face of Hisondine’s reluctance. I enjoyed Hisondine’s care for Omeika and his determination to do what was best for her. I enjoyed their erotic intimacies and the fact that Omeika was an aggressive intiator. I enjoyed their relationship development. I LOVED the cover. I enjoyed the background plot around Omeika’s library employment and the challenges she faced there when she tried to broaden the education opportunities for the community.
I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my voluntary honest review.
The next monster is about to take the fall and I AM HERE FOR IT. Seriously, Dine tries his hardest to stay away from Omeika, but the heart (and biology) want what the heart (and biology) want. In other words, as hard as he tries, he just can't stop seeking her out.
On Omeika's end, she's a librarian who is making ends meet by doing a little work for MD. She meets Dine by accident and the two of them spark off one another. Kind of literally, in Dine's case. All Omeika knows is that she likes the big grumpy troll and feels safe when he's around. Sure, they can't go quite as far as she wants to go (because Dine is BLAZING hot in a literal sense), but she just straight up likes the big guy and she kind of worries that maybe she's setting herself up for heartache by falling for a client.
Sure, these two have a few bumps in their road, but...you know, actually, things get even more bumpy once they work through their issues and finally do the deed. The difficulty mostly stems from Dine not telling Omeika she's his mate. And her taking one last booking for MD even though she isn't really feeling it.
A little professional grudgery, some sexy times over the computer, a swank trip to Dine's homeland, a grouchy troll who's learning to temper some of his growls, and a lady who likes the big grump whether he's grouchy or not. *thumbs up*
Notes: I received a copy of this book as an advanced reader, but all thoughts and opinions are my own. This is book 3 in the series and while it can definitely be read as a standalone, I’d still encourage you to start with book 1.
What I Liked: 🧌My catnip is a strong grumpy cinnamon roll and an independent sassy heroine. If you like that too, then this book is most assuredly for you!
🧌It took me a minute to connect Antonio. (Maybe it was because he was “Italian.”) But when i finally connected the dots as to how he related to a troll, I laughed hysterically. Like of course 🤦🏻♀️🤣
🧌Each one of these books is so incredibly positive about body image. It brings me so much joy to see the changes that are happening in romance books. I feel represented and seen…and hopefully other people do too!
🧌The spice is SPICY! 🌶️🌶️
What I Didn’t Like: 🧌Honestly, my only gripe is that it’s too short. I wanted at least 100 pages more!
Final Thoughts: 🧌 <—-can you even believe that there is a troll emoji??!! 🤣🤣
🧌 I love this whole series. Looking forward to the next one which includes a Minotaur 👀
Love the body positivity in this series! Just like monsters, the ladies come in all shapes and sizes (pun intended lol) whatever, this is a cute series and I love the way each one wraps up nicely.
So how do I turn this dream into a reality? Because I want the fairytale, but it’s not the prince I want to take home. It’s the monster!"
Another great book in the Monstrous Deals series. God, this woman can write!
Ami’s stories are hot, and wonderfully written. For each book the plot is interesting and this one did not disappoint. The storyline is fantastic and drew me in so I read late into the night.
Trolls belong lurking under bridges, not in the arms of beautiful human women. Hisondine, otherwise known as Dine, is a fascinating character. And Omeika? Well she is a great and outspoken female who isn’t afraid to enjoy S**. She is almost intuitive in her assessment of Dine. They are a great match.
“My hand freezes halfway into my purse as I get my first good look at him. The rear door opens and he unfolds himself to his full height while I stare. This guy isn’t a snack. He’s a whole damn meal.“ One of my many favorite moments in the book (and there are many) is this scene: “Dine lets out a long, shaky breath. “My gorgeous mate. How did I ever get so lucky?” I smile. “By being kind. By stopping to help when you saw me in trouble, even though you didn’t want to.” He chuckles. “I didn’t. I knew as soon as I got close I was in trouble….”
The characters are very likeable and their thoughts amusing at times.
Next up in this series of audiobooks was a grumpy troll who turns out to be a huge cinnamon roll when it comes to his mate haha. He is rich beyond compare and actually wants to use it for good, and tries to counteract what's happening to the FMC's neighborhood thank goodness!
I thought the audio/narration was better in this one, I enjoyed their performances and liked how the characters were portrayed. I liked having diversity in this one and I thought the narrators did a good job with all the different aspects of the story, blooming love, the chemistry and steam. I liked the added part about the ritual that needed to be done before they could become intimate. His's appendage and bodily fluid running too hot for her body was a nice touch, I hadn't thought of that and appreciated the author's attention to detail and made for a different kind of plot in this monster romance.
This one has some really cute and vulnerable moments and I liked that the two tried to not develop feelings, keep things separate but that wasn't gonna happen haha. I like how protective I would feel if I had a giant troll as a mate, this one was probably in line with book 1, author redeemed themselves after book 2 didnt connect with me.
But it's not the billionaire side of him I want so much it hurts. It's the sweet monster who would crush anyone who harms me, but who touches me and loves me so tenderly no one will ever get close. another adorable monster boyfriend added to such a great series Wright really knows how to make her monster just the right amount of grumpy and loving that keeps me craving more!! the lava part was surprise and actually new but i haven’t read much troll romances so maybe that’s a normal thing. i loved omeika in this story with all her sass and how she has that troll wrapped around her finger(is that the right saying) LMAOOOO she’s an icon fr!! lovee getting more insight on the characters who work for the monster app as well. my only complaint is i wish it was longer😭 feels like time goes by too fast reading this series. if you like grumpy troll, rags to riches billionaire romance, size difference, touch her and 💀 then you should add this to your tbr!!
Hisondine & Omeika: Ridiculously Cute! A Nice, Smooth Read.
This is my first book by Ami Wright and I’m really impressed. I liked it!
TREASURED BY THE TROLL was a cute grumpy/sunshine novel where the hideous monster gets the hot girl. This was a fun read and I couldn’t help but like both characters.
I loved Omeika’s personality and her optimism. She was evenly matched with Hisondine, the grumpy billionaire who falls hard for the paid escort. There were a few times where I felt the plot could have been more developed to make the story fuller and richer. But, the smex was steamy (literally) and very spicy!
There were a few holes and “reaches” in the storyline that could have used more filling in and explanation. But, all in all, it was a quick, enjoyable read and I will definitely read more of Ms. Wright’s work in the future.
As much as I loved this series, I feel like the editing gets worse each one and the plots get thinner and thinner. The Devil in book one and the writing and plot stole my heart, and I still adore these books, but I find myself a little disappointed by the attention to detail and feel they are being rushed out.
Page 31: "I'm a little bit surprised to be honest. He caught me by surprise the night we met.." The repeated use of the word surprised threw off the scene for me. It may seem mundane and not a big deal to others, but I abhor repetition when reading. There are so many synonyms to for surprise that could have been used and this is just 31 pages in. This is the first intimate scene between the MC's and it really had be backtracking.
I would read it again for the consent king troll daddy that lost it for his mate, and I adored the confidence and charisma Omeika exuded. The story and the build up is nice, the spice is *chefs kiss*, I just hope that more detail is paid to the books moving forward to really help round them out! <3
Loved it! Super sweet and super spicy!! Omeika is a strong FMC who's confident in herself and her sexuality. Her confidence isn't exactly appreciated by be the humans in her life, leading to some difficulties in her career. She knows exactly what she wants, but doesn't know how to get it without having to ask for it outright. Hisodine is a troll who has accepted that he will probably never know love. He's saddened by this, but has focused on his no career. When these two meet- INSTANT CHEMISTRY! I loved how Omeika was confident in her own skin and helped Hisodine to find his confidence as well. They want each other so much, and when they finally give in it's nothing but pure hotness!! I love how Ami Wright is writing her monsters! They're grumpy but still protective, possessive and a total cinnamon roll for their women!!
I picked this up because it fit a challenge where I needed a character that was a troll, and I was very pleasantly surprised. I'm not much of a "monster" romance reader, but this was done well.
Both Omeika and Hisondine were great. I liked that he was possessive and protective, but a total marshmallow when it came to her. Their relationship started out transactional, but it quickly become more that the misunderstanding and no communication kept them from acknowledging to each other in a timely manner.
That is one of the reasons that I didn't give this book 5 stars. The other reason was that I don't feel the author completely explained how a baby between a human and troll actually works. Does she give birth to an egg, which then has to be buried. I was confused about and still am.
Monstrous Deals series is wonderful spicy read filled with creatures and their happy ever afters. Treasured by the Troll is a grumpy-sunshine romance between human Omieka and billionaire Troll Hosidine. Such a sweet 'Pretty woman' trope only with monsters. Hosidine arranges a date with Monstrous Deals app after rescuing Omieka on the side of the highway. A tumultuous relationship develops with possessive tendencies but denial as a crux. Big dck energy. Mates. Close proximity. Grumpy sunshine. Possessive male. MF. Breeding. Cinnamon roll.
I do like a sunshine/grump pairing especially when said grump comes in the monstrous form of a troll. He has a hidden core of cinnamon though but it takes the right sort of woman to find it. To me this very much had a Pretty Woman vibe to it. Omeika was an open-minded woman who was doing what she needed to get by. Hisondine, or Dine rather, was realistic about how he would be viewed, there was also the added stumbling block of his wealth, so knew that if he wanted to find someone to be with it would not be at the local coffee shop. There is more going on here than just troll meets mate which makes for a great read all told
