Engagingly written account of the Versailles negotiations which stresses the immense task the peacemakers faced in reconciling their various ideological and pragmatic goals.

Very good work on telling the nitty-gritty details on what happened after the Great War in the different venues where negotiations where conducted. My takes are as follows:

1. F*ck Wilson
2. Too many things to cover by very little people. It shows clearly it was a monumental task that wasn't properly covered.
3. Foch's visions of the future: "this is not a peace but a 20-years armistice"
