Since I was sixteen, I've had a crush on my best friend's dad, Ryker Kelly. When I turned eighteen, knowing he wouldn't be interested, I left for college. I did what I should; I experienced life outside of the only thing I've known. But now I'm twenty-two and sure of what I Ryker. Now I'm back home, determined to make him see me for the woman I've become instead of the girl I used to be.
I was excited to find something <150 pages with some of my favorites tropes, but this fell pretty flat.
There isn't really any angst - the MMC's daughter is totally on board with the FMC's plans to win her dad over and supports it. IDK - I wanted to DNF several times as it didn't feel like the situations in the book flowed together very well? It was already so short though, and the spice isn't until v late.
It’s promising. I understand the shortness when trying something new. I think the story would be better if it was longer, there was a little confusion in how fast he flipped switch on giving in. And people were a little TOO accepting of them. But it was more short and sweet with 2 on spice scale.
