This book is jam-packed budget-friendly, eco-friendly, simple DIYs and how-tos life hacks for cleaning, styling and organizing room-by-room guides routines, and checklists. Treating yourself to a beautiful home is the ultimate form of self-care, and The Dream Clean will help you achieve just that!
More of a resource than a quick read. Hints and tips for each room, along with checklists and recipes. Rounds of cleaning, organising and styling. Could have been improved with an index.
Here is another book for the Marie Kondo school of How to be Perfect. Purportedly a one-stop, easy-to-use cleaning bible, this is one way to depress those of less than perfect housekeeping skills. However, a big tick must go to the use of eco-friendly cleaning methods. If it means more people avoid using nasty chemical cocktails in their homes, this book is worth following. It is clear and packed with ideas for simplifying domestic chores. Unfortunately it lacks any kind of index which makes it difficult to refer back to, although it is organised into areas of the house. It could be quite revolutionary for some - on the other hand, it could be somewhat overwhelming!
All good points. However, I am 68 and know all the little tricks of cleaning that we should do but do not do even 15 minutes of everyday that she recommends. Been making my bed since a child and thar hasn't changed - we all know that. I do not believe all her products work. I am thinking this lady lives a city lifestyle. Does NOT know true dust - try living on an out of town block surrounded by Cane fields/ haul-outs and trucks. That's dust. Not conducive to Country Living. A lot of young ones cannot cope with all this.
I love any book that links the home to overall happiness. I love the use of eco products. A few more ideas would face been appreciated and there was a lot of repetition.
