Such a gorgeous autumn 🍂 read, filled with brilliant characters and a sweet love story. The start was wonderful, it got my attention instantly and I was hooked throughout! Loved the connection Andi and Andrew made and was desperate to see how things would work out between them. Some hilarious moments and some real awwww times, it was just such a pleasurable experience. I also loved Pumpkin the dog, so darn cute!
Aw! What a lovely Autumnal read! If you want something to give you the warm and fuzzies as the nights begin to draw in, and the chill is starting to make itself known, this is the one, with a teeny bit of spice to add to the warmth! Andi is stuck in a relationship with Drew that she is not sure of, but she knows no better. She meets Andrew by chance and there is a spark but there's nothing she can do... Or is there? Plenty of well-meaning and loving characters who are all cheering Andi on to make the right decision, but there are also lots of blockades in the way. And then there is Pumpkin. I love Pumpkin! He's Andi's gorgeous husky dog who appears to be a brilliant judge of character!
Firstly thank you to Rachels Random Resources and Charlie Dean for having me on this tour and sending me a copy of the book. Now my favourite season is Autumn and i love having a selection of cute autumnal romances to dive into in between my horror reads, and this was the perfect starter to my autumn reading this year. Those opening two paragraphs just made me smile, they drew me into our setting perfectly and i was gone. I stepped into Andi's life and i stayed there until the very last sentence, which was admittedly only a few hours but they flew as i read thankfully undisturbed. Now as much as i enjoyed and loved our two MC's Andi and Andrew they were pushed to one side for Pumpkin, he stole the show for me and i really want another dog now, though you can guarantee i wont get a Pumpkin! He is fantastically written dog and i loved him. I also loved the whole setting of this book, the family shop and pumpkin patch, it just screamed out pumpkin spice to me and it was a perfect backdrop for this. As i was meant to i disliked Drew and Carla from the moment they stepped on the page for us, i practically cheered when Andi told him where to go and threw some home truths at him, i suspect we've all had that ex and wish we could have done something similar to them. I found Charlie Deans's writing style so very easy to read, and it pulled me into the story so well. Her slow build up between Andi and Andrew was spot on and i loved every second of it. I cant wait to get some more of her books onto my tbr, in fact I've already spied a Christmas one that i know ill be reading in a few months! This definitely needs to be added to your autumn reading stack if you're a romance lover!
I received an advance review copy for free thanks to Rachel's Random Resources and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Welcome to The Pumpkin Patch at Pickle Grove.
Andi is worried that her relationship with Drew has become dull and boring. They never do anything exciting these days, in or out of the bedroom. So when a swoon-worthy stranger appears she is instantly swept off her feet.
When they unexpectedly meet again, they realise they have more in common than they thought possible so draw up a pact to spice up their lives! The plan they conjure up while working together at The Pumpkin Patch, to make their partners jealous, brings them closer than ever.
Andi plucks up the courage to finish with Drew but there are no signs of Andrew doing the same and she thinks she’s lost him forever.
With meddling exes, misunderstandings and miscommunication getting in the way, can The Pumpkin Pact bring them back together?
My Opinion
Charlie Dean has written a lovely, autumnal novel. The Pumpkin Pact was a cosy book for the darker nights. At less than 250 pages, this is a quick read. An enjoyable read with some great characters – especially Pumpkin the husky.
I'm really drawn to cute Fall covers and this one has Fall vibes on the cover and throughout the book. A nice curl up with a blanket and warm drink kind of book. An unexpected meet cute has Andi and Andrew meeting because of her adorable Husky, Pumpkin. Despite the insta attraction on both of their parts they both have partners though neither is happy in their current relationships. Who could resist a pumpkin patch in all its Fall glory it's really such a lovely descriptive Fall book. A spicy Autumn romance that though I enjoyed our main characters my favorite character is Pumpkin the dog, she really stole the show with her mischievous and delightful antics. I enjoyed seeing the resilience Andi has as she sticks up for herself despite all she's going through, and the encouragement Andrew gives her. Will a few misunderstandings derail this holiday romance, or will Andrew be just the whipped cream Andi needs on her pumpkin spiced drink? Lovely little romance I'll be on the lookout for more by the author.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.
This was a short and sweet (and spicy!) read, perfect for curling up with a hot drink and a slice of cake. I mention cake because it was featured quite often and it was making me hungry! In fact one of the things I liked the most about the book is that Andi isn't shy about enjoying food and embraces her fuller figure which was really refreshing.
What wasn't as refreshing was the attitude of her nasty boyfriend Drew. I took an immediate dislike to him which of course was the intention, and I was really rooting for Andi to throw him out of her home and her life.
Meeting Andrew (yes there's an Andrew, a Drew and an Andi!) was the catalyst and the push that Andi needed to finally realise that she deserves better and I enjoyed seeing the two of them get to know each other.
Overall this was an enjoyable read; it was short enough to read in a few hours which is perfect for those of us with big Autumn TBR piles. It had a sweet love story, a lot of spice, and an adorably stubborn Husky called Pumpkin; what more could you need?
While walking her dog Pumpkin in the park, Andi stumbles across Andrew. He’s soaking wet from head to toe and walking out of the lake, Mr Darcy-style, with Pumpkin in his arms. This man is totally swoon-worthy, and within minutes, Andi is falling for another man, even though she’s in a relationship with Drew.
After their meet-cute, Andi and Andrew keep bumping into each other. They decide to try and make their partners jealous by creating a pact.
This book had all the moments of a Hallmark movie crossed with Bridgerton and Jane Austen. It managed to create all the things I love within a romance movie in a novel, and the author created such a great connection with the characters.
I love small-town autumn reads. I love the friendship and family elements. I love the run-up to Halloween festivities. 🎃
Unfortunately, I didn't love this book. I didn't like the 3rd person POV. It made me feel detached from the characters.
I also didn't like the miscommunication trope due to names Andi (female main) Andrew (male main) Drew/Andrew (side character) Andrew/Drew (another side character) It wasn't cute or cheesy. Personally, I found it ICK 🤢.
An amusing love story with refreshingly realistic characters and an intriguing plot I've never come across before in a beautiful setting.
I adored Pumpkin the husky. This was a four star read for me, but he earns an extra star all by himself. The heroine's family and friends really added to the warmth and humour of the story.
I'd recommend this book for anyone looking for a rom-com that's full of fun, some spice, and something a bit different.
This was such a cute story to begin my autumn reading with. The story begins with such an adorable meet cute between the main characters Andi and Andrew, all helped by a charming but boisterous husky called Pumpkin.
Unfortunately both Andi and Andrew have partners. The two still become close and so begins their story of misunderstandings and miscommunication.
All the characters, not just Andi and Andrew, are so loveable and funny. The love story was really sweet with just a little bit of spice. A perfect short read to curl up with.
Andi runs into a gorgeous looking guy only to find out he has a girlfriend. She actually has a boyfriend she’s less than thrilled with. This story takes place leading up to Halloween. It’s a cute story with some romance. It also has a little bit of heat.
I’ll admit I wasn’t a fan of how the 3 main characters basically had the same name, I’m confused by how Andi and Andrew had never met despite them living in a small area at the same time for a while then all of a sudden bump into each other wherever they go, I wanted to shake Andi & Andrew just get on with it, if you’re unhappy, fix it. I enjoyed it don’t get me wrong but it was just that little bit too predictable for me
