I enjoyed this book. When this series first started I wasn't sure about it. I didn't really like the characters and the magic was weird. I couldn't really see how plant magic was going to help solve murders but it has grown on me and now I look forward to the next adventure. Darcy has like her magic grown into a like able character and I enjoy spending time with her and her wacky friends. The magic is fun to and I like the way The author always finds a way for plants to help in the case. The mystery was good and kept me guessing as to who responsible and while like the characters I am not a fan of Shakespeare it was a fun way to introduce new family members into Darcy's life. I hope we don't have long to wait for the next book.

Darcy might be estranged from her family after she told them about her magic but she is not totally alone. Her Grandmother informs her that she has a cousin and aunt living on her side of the world, who also broke away because of magic. Darcy tracks them down only to learn that they set part of a traveling theatre group and there next stop is Darcy's town. Darcy and her girlfriend get tickets to see the show, only for the leading lady to collapsed on stage. Darcy's cousin Piper as the understudy is the prime suspect. Can Darcy clear her cousins name so she can get to know her without bars in the way?
I like the narrator. She helps to bring the story to life and has a pleasant voice to listen to.

Just when our heroine is getting comfortable with her magic and her life, she is presented with another murder to solve. But this one strikes rather close to home and failure to solve the case would derail her new life. No pressure there.

This is book four of the series, but it works pretty well as a standalone. You might be missing a bit of backstory, but all the essential bits are covered early on.

This is a cozy witch mystery with a supposedly quiet town, but then it is just one murder after another. The story is well written and easy to read with a fun setting and cast. This one is a bit more down to earth than many of this genre, but it still has its quirks. It also provides a solid mystery with enough twists and turns to keep things interesting. Overall, a great addition to the series and I am definitely looking forward to the next book.

Darcy is getting more confident and stronger with her new magic, and so happy now that Maggie is by her side. Learning of family nearby, she starts to interact with them. One of them is in a play she attends but a murder causes problems when her family is suspect. Can she figure it all out or will the person, the secrets and dark magic over power her? Keeps your attention glued right up to the wonderful ending. Loved the characters, their entertaining situations, banter and drama. Will you guess the killer before the ending?.

Wow! Awesome Darcy is acing her magic and is loved up with Maggie. She’s even discovered family nearby. Which is handy for one of them , because she’s all that stands between them and incarceration. Brilliant characters , the humour is on point , perfect cosy .well written, compelling story

Darcy's and her friends are back in another murder investigation. She's learning to control and manage her magic. Characters are great with the banter and drama. Fund read with a great ending.
