Legacy is a novel you shouldn't miss if you enjoy epic adventures that have mythology, intense warfare, and tender romance. The characters are memorable, the stakes are enormous, and the story is crafted in a wonderful design. After you start reading this amazing story, I'm sure you'll be excited for the next book in the series as well.

Thank you to the author for a copy of the 1st ebook. Interesting that i have never really read anything like this before so it took me a few chapters to get into the swing of it. Its like a modern take on Gladiator!! I enjoyed the ‘ampitheatre’ vibes of the nightclub and the fighting. Loved the idea of the fighters being descendants of other fighters. I was not so enamoured with Luke and McKenna’s relationship as it felt a bit too sweet and cosy even though McKenna is meant to be a bit bad ass. Overall enjoyable - read it if you like #blood feuds #fighting #secret societies #deep relationships (no smut).

Legacy is the first book in a series by J. Leonard Costner. It is a book none like I have ever read and I loved it. Legacy has Action, Romance, Love and it features modern day Gladiators. I love the storyline as it flows fluently with no gaps from one chapter to the next that leave you wondering what just happened. This book literally pulled me into the story line. I laughed, cried and cheered for the victor in every situation that arose.
The characters are well described:
Luke he is a well established in the fighting world as his father is a military man and has taught his son well on how to defend himself well is all aspects. when Luke gets into some trouble his family picks and moves from the city of Rome to the states. As with that is what happens with all military families. Luke enters into a collage where he realizes that he is a born fighter because normal classes just do not hold his attention.
McKenna is as sweet as she is beautiful and she has the eyes for only one man... Luke.
There love story is so perfect that it melted my heart many times over.
Bobbie is a young Historian and he is being trained to take over for his Father who is a full Historian one day and he is Luke's best fried.
There is a line from the story that I loved..
"The people call me a champion of the Legacy, but , I am Spartacus"
So if you love Modern Day Gladiators, Sweet Romance that brings you to tears and men that defend there woman's hearts then this book is for you.
This book is well worth the 5 stars and more I would actually give it 10 if I could.

I just finished Legacy by J. Leonard Costner, and I can't wait to share why this book is an absolute must-read. I'm in complete awe after reading the most incredible book, you guys! J. Leonard Costner's "Legacy" is all I wanted and more! It's like entering a world where splendid historical legends and contemporary gladiators collide, and I am here for it!

The setting is a dream come true. Imagine a ferocious nightclub that doubles as an amphitheatre for epic conflicts. It had this dramatic, high-stakes feel that drew me in from the first page.

The story is like a rollercoaster of spectacular fights, twists, and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat. I cheered for Luke and his team the entire time. The character development is also excellent; each character is well-crafted and contributes something unique to the story. And the action scenes were absolutely exhilarating and so well-written that I felt like I was right in the thick of the action.

A great mix of historical figures and ancient gods whose modern day doppelganger's grapple with each other for superiority. Luke is a well drawn, personable character as is his lover, McKenna and the rest of the cast. The writing is complex in its simplicity and flows from one chapter to the next. The scenes come to life with vivid descriptions of time and place. The action is thrilling, the love is sweet.
If you like to read well crafted stories that remind you of gladiators fighting in the arena, you'll want to seek this one out.

A spine tingling read, as the pages turn it’s the end, next book please. Goads and heroes from centuries back provide the bloodlines of today and the fierce warriors. The characters and strong, and compelling , their fight yo be the best. You are pulled in and rave for Luke and the group from Legacy. Evil lurks around the corner Lazarus wants all and he won’t stop. Excellent read.
