I usually find short stories and novellas harder to rate because of the short time we have with the characters. In this case, we're revisiting characters from a previous novella, Stolen by the Alien Rogue, and set in the same universe as the Fated Mates of the Zaarn series.
Getting to see these characters again made my heart so happy and the CW/enticement only list only guaranteed at least four stars. My faith was not misplaced wen we actually got to the scene.
I loved getting to see streetwise Frankie again, the cameo by a certain other Zaarn, the foreshadowing of their op, and another glimpse into Zaarn culture. It's a tall list of things to do in a short story, especially with that menu of enticements, but she did, and I am here for it!

Alien romance and fated mates from Krista Luna? YES, PLEASE! I wasn’t a big alien romance fan before I was introduced to Krista Luna. Now I’m obsessed and HAVE to read everything Krista writes. Her stories and characters are always so well-written, well-developed, interesting, and exciting. The alien men are always strong, loyal, and honorable. And those tails… woooo, those tails. This story may be short, but it’s not lacking in excitement and passion. It has everything you need from adventure to steam and true love. I loved every moment of this fantastic novella. Thank you so much to the author for gifting me this great story in the exciting Zaarn world in exchange for an honest review.

Owned by the Alien Rogue is an action packed novella that has you falling for Frankie and Zol all over again! This was previously published in the Monsters in Love Anthology, but it’s gotten a tune up and is now out on its own! It lovingly fits between books 4 and 5 in the Fated Mates of the Zaarn universe. I give this ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!
During book 4, Married to the Alien Rogue, there’s mention of Frankie and Zol taking a group from the Daredevil for an undercover mission. This is it!
Going undercover again as royalty, Frankie and her hunky “bodyguard” Zol infiltrate an auction where they have 4 humans for sale. Just when they think they’re in the clear, all hell breaks loose. Frankie’s team is ambushed and her identity comes out in front of mercenaries who want “proof” of her being Zol’s fated mate. A public display of heat was not on the plan…
Short, packed full of action, and a whole lotta spicy tails and knots. This novella has is it all! I read it originally in the anthology and I like the little edits made. It fits in perfectly between books 4 and 5.
Frankie is a tough ass bitch. She was on the streets on earth and isn’t afraid to get scrappy, but now she’s got others to protect… the other humans and her fated mate Zol. She doesn’t even hesitate using her identity to diffuse her the fight and agrees to the public display to get the mercs off them (much to Zol’s protest). We love a confident and bad ass queen 👏🏻!
And Zol… what a great duo they make! He doesn’t stop Frankie from being her badass self and loves how fierce his little mate is. He’s incredibly protective of her and will do anything for her. Also those purple booty shorts… damn 🥵! Thank you Krista for making that getup their “bodyguard” disguise!

Wow what a brilliant book this was and is one of my favourites of the series so far and the all the characters from the previous book just add to this being amazing. Sofia is one of the human females from Ark 1 and is there meteorologist and mining specialist that the Grug woke up from statis and has now sold on the black market to Senator Bila who is a Lizard leader on the planet Tularia as a pet for her children to play with all the while knowing she was sentient but chose to ignore it all and locked her in a cell at night until it was time to play with her children out side in the forest, hide and seek is there favourite game and while running to hide I run straight into a huge blue gorgeous male who tells me he is here to save me and that we must leave right now and something about him has me believing him. Raxnor is on a mission to find the metal to stop the Grug telepathic abilities but they are directed to Tularia where a human has been brought and Raxnor and Tark must infiltrate and save the human female but when Raxnor see’s the female his tail changes colour to signal that he has found his soul’s breath but now is not the time even when the attraction is burning hot right from the start the longer they are together and there time at the waterfall was very steamy but he didn’t want to start the mating bond until they where safe on the daredevil. But when he learns how smart and brave his mate is only makes him love her more ad needs to explain what she means to him. Sofia is so smitten with Raxnor but he’s hold back and the more I learn about his life on Zaarn and how they are banished at a young age if they are not mated breaks her heart for him and all his people but he has nothing to fear I don’t want anybody else but him. Now they are on a mission to get the metals they need against the Grug but it means going back to the planet Tularia where his mate was held but he knows she will be amazing. How does it all turn out not only between Sofia and Raxnor but on the planet Tularia when they come to face to face with Senator Bila. And the hot and steamy action between Frankie and Sol after they are confronted by other Zaarn warriors and are forced to prove they are really a Soul’s Breath couple and boy was it a show that had them all hope to find there own mate amongst the human female. To get these answers and so much more from this book and the whole series. Brilliant

Frankie’s always been brave, strong and street-smart. Even more, I loved how calm she could be in dangerous situations and that she didn’t back down from all the challenges. And Zol, being his fiercely protective, strong, growly and dangerous self, was always there by her side in all his huge and horned glory. Those two make such an awesome and badass team!
And just when they think their mission is a success, Zol and Frankie are forced to prove that she’s Zol’s soul’s breath. And, oh boy, do they deliver! Sending Frankie into heat and the passionate (and a bit public) moments they shared were filled with all the knotty and naughty delights. And they proved without a shadow of a doubt that they more than belong together. You, my lovely reader, are going to absolutely adore those possessive Zaarn warriors with their wicked tails and talented mouths!
Overall, I loved that we got the chance to go on a new adventure with Zol and Frankie! The danger, the suspense, the action and the blazing hot passion kept me glued to the pages till the very end.
And I absolutely loved every moment of it!

Frankie and Zol, the female human and male alien lead, are in disguise with Frankie acting as veiled royalty to buy human females to save them from slavery. Successfully acquiring all available females, they’re about to make their escape when others like Zaarn threaten to expose their scheme. They demand Zol prove Frankie is his mate by sending her into heat, as their species mates do. Zol is willing to fight but Frankie agrees to prove the point and get them to safety.
This story story is dual POV, well written and edited, and an erotic short romance. Whilst it stands alone, it is best enjoyed as part of the series it belongs to (Fated Mates of the Zaarn), as it is a slice of life following the prequel’s characters. I enjoyed Frankie’s determination to succeed and save fellow humans. I enjoyed Zol’s dedication to her and his love and care. The rescue operation always gets me excited and thrilled. I love how Krista comes up with different tactics to rescue human women in each book. Zol can be playful, sweet, naughty, and protective, but when it comes to the mission... he's dead set on accomplishing it. Frankey, are you sure she wasn't royalty? She sure did rock her pretended role.
When Zol was asked to bring Frankey to heat?! Uh huh! 🔥I'm telling you... one orgasm wasn't enough for Frankey. 🤤🪢
This book may only have 7 chapters, but you get everything: action, thrill, romance, and spicy scenes. Perhaps there's a little hint of an upcoming series with a new crew being introduced. Maybe, who knows... I guess I'll keep an eye out for what's to come in Zaarn's Fated Mate series.?

Hot steamy short story. Zol and Franky go undercover yo save 4 human women. Franky disguised as a Sjisji duchess and Zol as her mercenary body guard. Their plan works but a small group of unfamiliar Zaarn warriors stops them in an alley asking what's going on. They demand proof of their mating with the mating heat. When the warriors realize they can find fated mates with humans they allow Zol and Franky to leave keeping their disguises a secret.
Wonderful characters, fated mates, element of danger, cloak and dagger feel, steamy, entertaining, and a happy ending.

Just a super quick read about Frankie (FMC) and Zol (MMC). The two go on a short mission to rescue some more of the female women in the usual girl dresses up as a goddess way they go about things. They end up getting held up but a bunch of Zaarn of all people and find an interesting way out of their pickle. I don’t think this is by any means necessary to understand anything later on in the books. I somehow missed this one when I was reading the series and just went back to read it. But it was fun seeing the Zaarn again and reading about their vibrating tails lol

This was a short, steamy, side-quest novella that sets up more stories in the Fated Mates of the Zaarn series. And of course, there's also an adorable space pet moment! Frankie and Zol set out to rescue some more human women from the Grug and end up having some spicy fun as part of the mission. This was a really enjoyable and quick read that still packed some heat. I'm really excited for more books in this series, and I can't wait to see the plots set up here develop further!

This is one of the best series I've read and this short read gives me hope there will be many more stories. This one goes back to Frankie and Zol who go undercover on a new mission to save more human females from the auction. On their way out of the auction, some other Zaarn warriors who were outbid by Frankie stop them. Hopefully they don't have to fight their way out of this situation. If you've read the previous stories, you must read this short story to find out what happens!

I'm normally so-and-so with books that are slice-of-life stories but this was one I really enjoyed. I've always enjoyed the Zaarn world and this one was no expection as the romance and action were well balanced and I think Zol and Frankie are very cute together.
The story works well on its own, so you don't have to know about previous or future events, but it does help if you've read the previous books.

A very short and exciting story!!! Half of the book was about Frankie and Zol trying to save other human women from the Grugs. They conned them but got caught before escaping. In order to leave he had to prove she was his soul's breath. And boy he did, in a wicked way. ;)

Short story packed with action - saving Zol’s species, rescuing enslaved Earth women, evading danger, and finding love. And their intimacy was super hot. I loved it.

Nice mini novella continuing the story about two of the fated mates of the Zaarn. Love that the Zaarn are working with some of the human women to save the rest of the women from the dreaded bad guys who treat the humans like animals instead of higher thinking beings.

A great little Novella for the series! As always it’s packed with action, adventure, suspense, and sweet spice! I’ve read a few books in this series but not this couples original story yet, but I didn’t feel lost. Things are explained as the story goes so I think it can be read as a standalone. It is a short read but full, it didn’t feel rushed or anything. Really enjoyed it!

In this short story, the two main characters are trying to prove something. Mentally and physically, they must work as a team to accomplish their goal. They also must be ready to adapt to changing situations. The lives of others depend on them.

This was a quick, hot read! I loved Frankie and Zoe and their way out of a jam was so steamy I would hate to be the next one to use that cab!
