Arranging their marriage was the only way to claim Serena. Now, that’s she’s his, Odin will stop at nothing to protect her from the threats that linger in the darkness, even if they come from within her family.

Odin:

My life has been a whirlwind ever since she turned in my direction.
I didn’t question why I started calling her mine.
Instead, I arranged our marriage as the only way I could have her.
Now, she’s my wife, and I am a man obsessed.
Every gesture, every smile, every intense gaze–they all belong to me.
When she says I love you, I want those words pointed in my direction.

Serena doesn’t know that I am aware of her secrets.
I don’t make light of what happened, but it doesn’t make me look at her any differently.
When I tell her I will have revenge in her name. I mean every word.
I am not the judge nor the jury, but I am the executioner.
Protecting her is the only way I can keep her by my side.
Forever.

Serena
In the chaos that surrounded me, my husband quickly became my lifeline.
To the outside world, he’s the mafia doctor, but to me, he’s unexpectedly tender.
Our arranged marriage hid secrets that must stay buried, but when someone broke in and exposed mine, I was afraid.
I’ve developed genuine feelings for Odin, but with one word, he could have our marriage annulled and leave me shattered.
I wasn’t as advertised.

Odin is a dark mafia romance that features a morally grey hero, an age gap romance, and an arranged marriage with touch her and die vibes. You can read Odin as a standalone, but for the best reading experience, start with Meet Odin. Meet Odin leaves off exactly where Odin starts, so there’s no gap in the timeline.Main SA, Full list is in the front.

description

Let me first say that this is a new author for me…… And I’m super grateful to my friend for recommending me this author….
The book says it is a standalone, but for my personal recommendation to you, would be to read “ Hello Odin’ ( Prequel)…” This is a quick read that will give you insight to how Odin had grown up and how he got where he is Now….

Odin was on a job, and over heard something That was not intended for him or have anything to do with his particular job that he was doing at the moment…….. And somehow, he finds himself in the previous book in Arranged Marriage to a Mafia Princess named Serena Lombardi

This book picks up where the previous book left off on Serena and Odin’s wedding night

You would never guess it now but once upon a time he lived on the streets in Sweden Surviving by pickpocketing the wealthy. Now he is the personal physician to the highest-ranking member of the silence syndicate

They were Lombardo’s. Italians. And he was a Deviant, and his loyalty would always lie with Mr. De Angelis and the Silent Syndicate. They’d never be friends, but they’d put up with him as long as they had to.

She is the granddaughter of Giuseppe and the head of the Italian Mob …… There was just something about her that he couldn’t put his finger on,….. and that something had turn into obsession that knows no bounds………..

Odin has never thought about the future. It’s not something you think about when you’re busy trying to survive……. But now all he thinks about is this future with his new wife….. But before he could have that happy ever after he has to fix her past trauma….. The God of War will enjoy Taking revenge in the name of his wife

Damn this one has so much to unpack, that there is no way I could fit it into my review, Even if I could I wouldn’t do to the fact I wouldn’t want to spoil this one for you

If you enjoy reading A good suspends Mafia romance with an extra-large side of Grumpy Bear, who will stop at nothing to keep his woman safe, and has a heart of gold you are in the right place

Odin and Serena are just fire together! This book is sooo good! If you want to read one sexy mafia story that has quite a few twists and turns and keeps you riveted right until the end, get this book! Serena is a mafia princess with a past trauma that she keeps to herself, in hopes of keeping her family safe. She is navigating her new arranged marriage with Odin – a man who has secrets of his own – but his secrets help her get justice for all the wrongs done to her. The writing is beautifully done, the characters and storyline moves at a great pace, and the HEA is everything you want in a great book! Can’t wait to read more of this Syndicate world!

Great read!

The story is well constructed, the characters have very good chemistry and there are few plots along the way. Loved how it pays off the arranged marriage and how Serena empowers herself while having Odin by her side

A story about a mafia princess and a doctor/mafia hitman, the two were brought together into an arranged marriage. The two had feelings for one another from the beginning but neither one knew what those feelings were.
The mafia princess family treated her differently due to the fact that she was heavy set, her mother ridiculed her alot about it. She was even raped but her family didn’t even realize that anything happened to her, it happened at the family compound. The man who raped her was a cop that her brother brought into the family’s mafia business.
The doctor/mafia hitman was an orphan who ran away from the orphanage when he was in his teens and lived on the streets until a mafia boss took him in, gave him a name and taught him skills to become what he is today, he went to college to become a doctor.
The doctor/mafia hitman knew what happened to the mafia princess before they were married but it didn’t matter to him even though they weren't intimate he still thought she was him. The doctor/mafia hitman had the mafia princess move into his penthouse which you had to have a key to get into from the elevator. The doctor/mafia hitman even got her new guards from the mafia family he was from because he knew the guards that were from her mafia family were a bit lazy, taking breaks when they were to be working and didn’t pay attention to protocol. Since the doctor/mafia hitman switched guards the cop couldn’t get to the mafia princess.
The cop was getting the mafia princess to get him information about shipments that her mafia family was receiving so he could have her mafia family raided again. He was working with the chief of police to go after the mafia princess’s family but she never gave him anything that would hurt her family.
Throughout the story the couple got closer and after their penthouse was broken into they got closer yet, they had sex. When they went through the surveillance footage they found out that it was the cop that broke in with the mafia princess’s key that would have had to be taken while she was at a luncheon. The doctor/mafia hitman figured out that the mafia princess’s mother was involved with the break in.
The couple had a meeting with the doctor/mafia hitman’s boss and the mafia princess’s family who the doctor/mafia hitman was trying to get closer to by having lunch with them. The mafia boss that was the boss of the doctor/mafia hitman saved the mafia princess’s family from going under after they were raided had a sit down between the couple and the mafia princess’s family since her father was wanting her back and the doctor/hitman refused the retribution because of her not being a virgin. They all talked and the mafia princess refused to go back with her family, after talking the mafia family left and after a while of talking to the mafia boss the couple left as well. The only family member who wasn’t there was the mafia princess’s mother.
The doctor/mafia hitman got the okay for the hit on the cop. The doctor/mafia hitman found the cop’s next neighbor dead from a drug overdose. He found out what the cop was like. He went through the duct work from the neighbor’s apartment to the cop’s apartment. He got the cop cuffed and bound before he got out the syringe that he found in the neighbor’s arm which still had some of the drug in it and stuck it in him killing the cop. He got ahold of his boss and informed him it was done. He went home and cleaned up, burning his clothes and his disguise.
Not long after he got the chief of police and the mafia princess’s mother together at a hotel, he disguised himself as a waiter and brought them strawberries and champagne that had the drug he used to kill the cop on and mixed in. The doctor/mafia hitman delivered the strawberries and champagne to the room that the chief of police and the mother was in. While in the room he took the key to the room that was on the table next to the door. The doctor/mafia hitman went to the elevator but it was too long before he went back to the room finding the chief of police on the floor not able to breath well and the mother on the couch not able to breath well either soon they were dead and he put them in the bed positioning them to be found together. He texted his boss about it being done. He went to the penthouse cleaning up and burning his clothes and disguise.
The years later it was the mafia princess’s birthday she didn’t want to go out partying and she didn’t want her father to throw her a birthday party so when the doctor/mafia hitman’s boss offered them his Caribbean Island to stay at they went. They were having sex alot and she wanted to have his baby. The mafia princess was worried about not being able to have children due to her rape but found out that the doctor/mafia hitman was doing something so she wouldn’t get pregnant.
A couple of years after that they were having sex, right after their son started crying. The doctor/mafia hitman had the mafia princess take a shower while he tended to their son. He changes his son and gives him a bottle talking to him about it being his first birthday and also about his grandfather giving him a birthday party at the zoo.
Outstanding characters which is a great page turner with suspense, intrigue, action and steamy romance. The story has a magnificent happy ever after ending.

Odin was an interesting read, combining mafia wars with a secret society-type vibe. Although you don't have to read the prequel to the book, I would recommend doing so to fully grasp the situation with the characters.
Odin is a doctor by day and a spy/assassin/vigilante by night. While on a mission to uncover information, he became aware of Serena, and for the first time in his life, he wanted more than a quick fling, so he used his connections to form an alliance and get her to marry him in an arranged marriage.

Serena's character really resonated with me; she's plus-size, quiet, shy, and completely disregarded by the majority of her family, who tend to always put her down and ignore her, which sees her being SA'd and then blackmailed. It's because of her situation that Odin claims her as his to protect her, but unfortunately, her past experiences make her doubt herself, and she can't understand why anybody like Odin would want her, so he needs to spend time building her up, but he does, and she does come out of her shell with him.

Odin's character was so protective and caring of Serena, but you could really tell that he'd never had a proper relationship or even somebody else to consider, as he made some mistakes with Serena due to a lack of communication, but when they worked, they worked brilliantly. He loved that she was his and made sure to get revenge on those who had hurt her before.

It was a fairly short read, but it was packed with drama and some twists and turns. I'd love to read about more of the side characters within this book, such as Serena's best friend Kat or her brother Sergio.

This jumps right back in. As this is a standalone, I DO recommend you read the other book so you get a full grip on what's going on. Also check the triggers. They are listed in the front of the book for your mental health.

Odin was the sweetest. He was such a hard man but just melted for his woman.
Serena was sweet and just needed Odin in here life. To keep her safe, protected and loved.

The story's plot was interesting. It has some moments where I was wondering what would happen and I couldn't even guess. Trying to figure out how it was going to end was difficult but enjoyable. It was a puzzle. I liked the characters Odin was pretty bossy and said some things I didn't like but he also said some swoonworthy words that made me melt.

Overall, this was a good book and I recommend it for sure. This was a first time read for me after book one.

J Wine is a new author to me and being introduced to them by their novels in both “Meet Odin” and “Odin” was a great and captivating me.

Meet Odin should be read before Odin in order to gain an understand of who our MMC is, how he got to where he is and laid down a great foundation to get into “Odin”. Odin was full of secrets, betrayals, spice, chemistry and tension. Every few pages there was a plot twist or some type of action happening between Odin and those around him. His main focus was to seek revenge for his mafia princess Serena who had dealt with terrible trauma, and there was a LOT of betrayal by those close to her. I absolutely loved him as the MMC. He was very protective of Serena and loved her unconditionally, willing to go above and beyond to always make sure she felt safe. Serena was a sweet FMC. Even when she second guessed herself and felt like Odin didn’t love her, he always made sure to show her and tell her the affirmations she needed to hear. I binged Odin and loved every bit of it. There was just the right amount of spice, but I more so enjoyed the storyline and seeing what happens between these two!

If you love a good mafia romance with a very protective/ possessive MMC and ends in a HEA, Odin needs to go on your TBR STAT!

heavy plot, lower spice

This is the second in a duet and I highly recommend reading in order. This book will not make nearly as much sense without the prequel.

The characters are good and it is an interesting take on a new underground organization with hints of Agent 47 from Hitman. The characters are strong and well written. The mystery is better written than most you find in romance novels. I needed almost all the clues to piece together the full plan. There were some questions I still had, but in this short of a series the author did do a good job of tying most of the loose ends up.

The spice level is low on this as most of the story focuses around the plot. The potential was there though and I do wish the author had expanded on this portion of the story.

The book also needs editing. There are a few mistakes that were glaring enough to pull me out of the story.

I love Odin: his demeanor, his personality, his confidence, and his love for Serena. Their story is an age gap, mafia, arranged marriage with an epic twist. He’s devoted to her and protects her from everyone. Serena thinks she’s hiding a terrible secret from him: a sexual assault that deprived him of being her first. Odin knows and his plans include teaching her to trust him and revenge on her attacker.

J Wine is freaking awesome! The background of Odin is a tragedy, but his creativity and intelligence turn his future into an opportunity in a powerful organization. Serena’s life as a mafia princess stifled her from experiencing a normal life, but marrying Odin freed her. I loved it and the epilogues were steamy and sweet!.

Odin is Book 2 of Silent Syndicate Division 2. It's a steamy, instalove, OTT, age-gap, arranged marriage, curvy girl gets her hunky mafia man romance. The story of Serena, a traumatized 18 year old mafia princess and Odin, a hunky member of the Mafia organization, the Silent Syndicate, continues. (Read the prequel Meet Odin). Serena continues to deal with her trauma and the evil cop trying to bring her family down. Odin is fully in love with his sweet Serena and will burn the world down for her. He is so sexy!!! The way he loves Serena is everything. The story has a lot of twists and turns, but as this author's other books, expect some seriously hot chemistry and a happy ending for our couple after a lot of drama! I absolutely love this series!!!.

This follows on directly from "Meet Odin" which I highly recommend reading first as it does help set the scene for "Odin".

I loved this book, and Odin himself, he is a hitman who does dark things, however, from the moment he came across Serena, he knew she was the one for him and he would do anything to keep her safe and happy. I enjoyed how Serena came into herself over time, despite how she was raised, to be a mafia wife, and the trauma she suffered before she married Odin.

I found the way the organisation Odin works for interesting, would be great to have more stories featuring others from it.

I am looking forward to more from this author.

"I was the God of War, not the judge and jury."

I first met Odin in Meet Odin and fell in love.
Odin is known as "The God Of War" and is one of the DeAngelis Deviants. His and Serenas story is intense to say the least and as good as Meet Odin was, Odin is even better! I absolutely couldn't get enough of this fantastic, one sitting read. The love and dedication Odin has for Serena is palpable and hers for him is the same way. The chemistry is explosive and the way he possesses her is undeniably hot! I'm excited for more from this author. Maybe even Mr. DeAngelis' story........

Odin: An Arranged Marriage Mafia Romance (Silent Syndicate Division 2) by J Wine is an intense mafia romance. While reading “Meet Odin” first isn’t a must I do recommend it so you can understand the characters better. This book is everything you expect in a mafia romance and J Wine did an excellent job building up the characters and plot. You can almost feel the love Odin has for Serena and she needs that. Their love and chemistry was immensely passionate. There was more to the story of course but this is the primary focus and the author did an excellent job.
I highly recommend this book. I can not wait to read more by J Wine!

Wow, a smooth continuation from book one too book two, I absolutely loved reading the growth between Serena and Odin, Odin is so protective of his wife, he done his homework before he married her. Serena likes Odin but she has some big secrets and marrying him might cause problems that could cause the end of their relationship with her secret coming out and where does it leave her, her life is in danger and Odin is trying to stop it as an overprotective husband.

A long awaited second book, and it did not disappoint. I loved the relationship between Odin and Serena. Despite everything in their worlds, their love for each other keeps them centred. He finally got his vengeance for her attack! But the shocks of the involvements of her mother kept me on the edge of kindle literally!
Odin true to his name was ruthless to the end! Serena was grace and light in this world! And they balance each other so well. I an glad there wasn't another cliffhanger but that also meant their story had come to a lovely conclusion.

Damn this book was good!! This was a little different from other mafia- ish books I’ve read. Odin is in the syndicate which is a little different from being a part of the mafia. But I really enjoyed it. Some of the characters in this book you know who you are, I’m glad you got what you deserve. Anyways!! Odin is your absolute dream man. He’s really overprotective, hot, will literally do anything for her, etc. I love how it’s her above all else. He doesn’t care who it is if you hurt her he’s coming after you. His moments of jealousy were cute and sweet. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Loved Odin’s care and protection of needy Serena. He was exactly who this traumatized mafia princess needed. Lots of family drama and mystery. Loved the all around dialogue, especially any time Odin was involved (mic drop was great). His revenge plots were clever. I also enjoyed the bonus epilogue and am looking forward to Toula and Ilya’s story.

One of the best books I've read in years

This book and its prequel are amazing!! You see how Odin will do (and does) everything to protect Serena. It was wonderful to watch him grow and be able to love after having to survive childhood. Also, it was beautiful to read (and watch in my mind) how he helped Serana work through her trauma of being raped. Just beautifully written, I hope there's more books where this one came from.

This is the second book in this series and this is Oden and Serena’s story.
This is a well written story which has family, obsession, drama, revenge, an arranged marriage, emotions, miscommunication, an age gap, palpable chemistry, secrets, intrigue, action, and love, which leads to an entertaining, twisted, unpredictable, and steamy dark mafia romance.

Stalking, revenge, and some mafia secret society vibes

A little bit of stalking and revenge 😏 Odin (a boy with nothing, saved by the Silent Syndicate) overheard something he didn't like and decided from that moment on, he would protect Serena and get her the revenge she deserved.

He really cared for her and in his own way did a lot to make sure he didn't cross boundaries and kept her safe.

Second story from JWine. For sure will be an author that I will be frequently.

exceeded my expectations

I was so looking forward to reading this 2nd part to the duet. Fell even more for Odin and his lady. Them against the world. Lots of shenanigans taking place and fowl persons trying to cause trouble. There is an HEA, no cheating, no cliffhanger and a sweet epilogue. So glad I read this book from a new to me author. Hope she has a long career writing. I will be following her progress. Highly recommend the duet and this book. Enjoy!

This was a short read, but an easy dark romance with a dip into mafia life. There is a "sequel" book that I think could have been combined with this one to keep it all as one but overall I enjoyed it. I would be interested in further books to expand on the world because I feel like there are so many possibilities with the other characters and how events in this book could affect the dynamics of the families.
