Robin finds a case for Kid Flash and Aqualad to handle without informing the justice league or involving Miss M & Superboy. He's reason was they knew each other longer than anyone in the team and this could be a good training session for the three of them. When the action starts, they found themselves in a bigger trouble than they can handle.

I just love the friendship of these 3 boys.

”Hack and You Shall Find” starts on Infinity Island where the League of Shadows is having a meeting about Selena Gomez.

Who is also being talked about by Dick Grayson, Wally West and Aqualad. She is the CEO of a company and from looking at Batman’s files, Dick thinks she might be assassinated. Dick wants to leave Superboy and Miss Martian out of this. They convince Aqualad to look into this with them.

They stake out Selena’s office building. When they see an assassin, Robin and Kid Flash take off after him. After they leave Aqualad is attacked by a guy with a very large metal hook for a hand. Called Hook.

Kid Flash attacks the assassin who calls himself Black Spider. Black Spider takes out Robin and Kid Flash. Hook then shows up. Robin sends Kid Flash after Black Spider and takes on Hook himself.

All four - including Selena - get captured by Black Spider and Hook.

That was good. Action good. Art good. 3 stars.

I was surprised that this was the earliest appearance of Black Spider in this continuity.

Third in a four-volume series (Young Justice), “Hack and You Shall Find,” features Robin, Aqualad, and Kid Flash in an effort to save an innocent woman from an attack from the League of Shadows.

The Young Justice League of America features youthful sidekicks in training to established DC Comic superheroes. The Young Justice League is a newly formed group, with no shared experiences when the story begins. They are bored and restless. Robin hacks Batman’s computer system and finds what he believe is a pattern in a series of attacks. He shares his admittedly thin findings with two of the other young League members.

Without informing their mentors, the three teens -- Robin, Aqualad, and Kid Flash -- decide to pursue Robin’s hunch, using transparent excuses that this will be a “bonding” experience, and could be deemed a “training mission” -- despite the fact that more than half of the “team” has been excluded. The teens are reacting, rather than planning, with the result that they come into a direct physical confrontation with minions of the League of Shadows. The League of Shadows is prepared and the three youngsters are overpowered and captured.

The open ending begs for a sequel and the brief story is packed with action. The volume is really more of a hard-bound comic book, however, than a graphic novel. While it is sure to appeal to elementary and middle school readers, it does not stand out in this genre. Also, while it is natural for young people to make some poor choices, it is unfortunate that these young “heroes,” resort to hacking and subterfuge to make their own lives more exciting, at the possible risk of the people they are supposed to protect. Their disregard for their team mates’ feelings or their mentors’ reactions also make the protagonists in this volume poor role models.

Based on the cartoon show. Not having issue 2 on hand, it is convenient that this issue starts with a "meanwhile the rest of the gang" type of beginning. Superboy and Miss Martian are absent doing whatever it is they are doing and Robin has hacked into the system to find out that an important reporter has a hit out on her so Robin, Kid Flash and Aqualad take it upon themselves to save her but are met by some formidable foes. Action, action, action right from the beginning keeps the reader hooked tight and fast to the cliff-hanger ending. This is a promising new series which features both Young and regular Justice League members.
