المصدر الأول لعلم الأمراض في تقريباً كل كليات الطب في العالم.
يغطي كل جوانب الأمراض وأحياناً يتطرق للعلاج على مضض.
كل فصل مكتوب من متخصص بنوعية الأمراض وبالتالي هذه ميزة وعيب.
ميزة لأن بعضهم يكتب فصول رائعة جداً مثل فصل أمراض الكبد والبنكرياس وأمراض الرئة والجهاز التنفسي.
وهناك فصول بائسة كفصول أمراض القلب والمناعة.
لغته العلمية احترافية وسهلة. الشرح واضح في الغالب. لا يوجد توضيع للأشياء المهمة من غيرها إلا على نطاق ضيق. قليل الرسومات نسبياً. لكن كثير الصور أيضاً.
الكتاب لا يصلح للإعداد لإختبارات هيئة التخصصات الصحية أو اختبارات البوردز.

أذكر المحاضرة الأولى كأنها بدأت اليوم، في الفصل الصيفي من سنتي الثانية حيث تعرفت للمرة الأولى على أستاذ علوم الأمراض في جامعة النجاح الوطنية السيد رامي الزاغة، تحمست جدا لدراسة المادة وأعطيت كل انتباهي لها، لولا هذا الكتاب وتلخيصه لما توصلت للعديد من الأمور. سيبقى هذا العلم محط نظري دائما، يبقى علي مراجعة علم أمراض الدماغ فهو الفصل الوحيد الذي لم أقرأ فيه بعد بعمق.

An extensive, complete and at times too extensive read. Even though I'm studying at a German university it's THE BOOK for our pathology classes.
I think it's the prototype of the "only textbook you'll ever have to get for this subject" book. The chapters themselves are a good read and very in depth if you want to familiarize yourself with the subject (though I sometimes found the writing to be a bit informal, but that might just be me) and the summaries and morphology boxes are a good way to revise, even on short notice.
"Only" three stars because I spent far too much time with it to "really like it" and the only thing that was "amazing" was how much I could actually remember for exams and how much less frustrated I was when I gave up on the whole chapters and stuck to the summaries - frankly the only way to memorize half the book for an exam. Will keep it for looking up specifics in the future although I'll most certainly not invest in another edition.

كتاب ممتاز، غني بالصور والتفاصيل العلمية.
الكتاب يتناول الأمراض التي تصيب كل عضو على حدة، فهناك قسم لأمراض الكبد وآخر للرأة وثالث للكلية.
الكتاب يخدم كمرجع يستخدمه الطالب ليزداد علماً في مجالاً ما أو يجيب على تساؤلاتٍ تخطر على باله، لكنه -حسب رأيي- غير مناسب ليُدرس كله أو ليتُذاكر أو تُراجع المعلومات منه.
أنصح به لكل طالب طب مهما كان اختصاصه، أما بالنسبة لطلاب التشريح المرضي، فلا بد من تواجده في متناولهم.

Не съм го чел от до. Прочетох неща, които ме интересуваха. Патологията не е моята дисциплина изобщо. Това което прочетох беше написано горе долу добре, но не беше нищо особено. Естествено в сравнение с бг учебниците за съжаление е много по-разбираемо... Но това показва слабостта на бг учебниците за сега, а не някаква уникална сила на този учебник. Не бих казал, че ме грабна. Добре, че си взех изпита.

Някои глави свързани с имунитета бих ги прочел отново. Но има други учебници които са по-добри за конкретните теми.

It was intriguing to realize how much smaller than expected a lot of our organs are as well as the complex adaptations they use to keep us well and functioning (or cope when we're not very functioning).

I wish I had more time to read this. Anyway, there's always post-As to read it again. Though I'd like to avoid seeing a H&E stain for the foreseeable future

I read this book a long time ago when I was still in medical school in 2005-2010 (so most likely its older version). Definitely a must-read textbook for medical students, junior physicians, or medical doctors.
