The Mystery of the Vanishing Pets follows a groups of child detectives as they investigate a series of missing pets, deal with school bullies, and a mysterious boy who lives next door but never leaves his house. The question becomes how do all these events relate to each other and the missing pets?
The story is well written for children who are starting to read chapter books. The storyline is enjoyable and keeps the reader engaged. The characters are relatable and the suspense is appropriate for the intended audience. As the mystery unfolds the reader is exposed to the concepts of teamwork, problem solving, importance of friendship, and courage.
I would definitely recommend this book for young readers and look forward to reading this with my great nieces when they visit this summer.

Great read. Reminded me of Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys. Children investigating missing cats and coming up heros. Loved it.
