5/5 the perfect spooky & spicy halloween novella!

Wow. This was a kinky masterpiece, lmao. I loved it!! It's literally the perfect read to prepare for Halloween. There were some twists and turns I didn't expect for sure. A standing ovation and a round of applause for Violet PLEASE.
This book was so so so so so good. Monster romance is becoming one of my favorite sub genres lately and this book was EXACTLY what I need to scratch that itch. This book contains LOTS of smut (MMMF) with 3 big monsters who are willing to please each other as much as to please our sweet and dirty FMC, and has a good plot. What else is there to ask!
Violet SERVED us mask kink girlies our dinner and I ATE IT UP. Adding the fact there is a plot twist that I never saw coming (Which is not usual, cause I can smell plot twists from kilometer afar) But this one, took me very much by surprise. It also get significantly "Gory" you could say, in the end.
Please do yourself a favor and read this book.

Absolutely perfect, 5⭐️ smutty, why choose, Halloween novella!

3 totally unique monsters and one human girl all get spicy on Halloween night. There’s sex in the air, tentacle action, shadow and lightning involved, blood play… and some other things I’m probably forgetting.
This was super fun, super spicy, and absolutely PERFECT for Halloween, if you’re into why choose, paranormal romance like me!

Holy freaking heck. 🥵🤤😍❤️🔥VIOLET. Omg. That was everything. Three monsters, halloween, Buffy the vampire slayer references…. This book had me sweating and screaming (and then full blown sobbing at one point 😭). So many feels. But mainly absolute pride that I get to enjoy your monster masterpieces. You are beyond brilliant and truly an amazing storyteller and writer.
If you loved Violet’s other horror shorts you will go absolutely feral over this one. This one has to be my favorite of them all (and I know I say that every review🫣🤣) this will forever be engraved in my brain and heart and burned into my DNA. I will be relentlessly shoving this down anyone’s throat who will listen. Again just wow. I’m going to go reread this a million times and sob now. I am ready for Halloween (and for three demons to come claim me and stuff me like a god damn Oreo) 👀🔥

3.5/5 ⭐️ I must admit, I did not see any of the plot twists coming lol
So, I originally thought it was going to be a "Scream for Us by Molly Doyle" situation with 3 dudes in scary masks hooking up with a baddie on Halloween because why not. BOY WAS I WRONG. Demon horns, tentacles, wings, a scorpion tail of all things, and a blood ritual that devolves into a 30+ page sex fest.
A little corny at times but that's okay! I wished there were more moments of the foursome just getting to know each other and being cute. Oh well lol
Anyway, minus a 0.5 point for the "pregnancy in the epilogue" trope. Not of fan of that trope lol

Okay, this was a seriously fun, spicy and spooky little read!
Evie was such a likable FMC and for a short book, it packed in a whole lot of story and a whole lot of steam! I had a feeling the girls were dead all along, but the creepy vibes and twists still totally worked for me. And the smut? FABULOUS. We love extra appendages and demons who know how to use them.
That said… while I had a great time with this one, it wasn’t my favorite in the series. Compared to the others, it didn’t quite hit the same emotional or spicy highs for me. Still super enjoyable, just not my top pick.
But if you’re looking for a quick, smutty, supernatural romp with strong Are You Afraid of the Dark? meets Why Choose? energy, you’ll have a blast!

You can feel the trepidation and how scared Evie is within the moment.

Evie (h) is making her way to a Halloween party when she sees a mysterious masked man watching and following her, but things take a turn when he rescues her from a drunk in a Bronco. She’s drawn to the masked man, Hess (H), with glowing eyes and agrees to come to his party instead, a party that’s unlike anything Evie expected, with masked men and other young women. Things begin to heat up between Evie, Hess, Reiner (H), and Luda (H), and then things really get steamy when the ceremony starts, the goblets come out, and the truth about the monstrous nature of her lovers is revealed. Ultra-hot and steamy dark Halloween RH monster romance, including MF, MMMF, MM, lots of rough monstrous sex, size differences, special appendages, breath play, blood play, bondage, and lots more – if you have triggers, this might not be the book for you. I was not prepared. I thought I was signing up for a fun little Halloween smutfest—ya know, grab your candy, light a pumpkin candle, let’s summon a demon and call it a night.
BUT NO. Violet said “let’s emotionally destroy you first, THEN give you the spice.”
This book ripped my heart out, stitched it back together with demon claws, set it on fire, and then whispered, “Happy Halloween.”
It’s a reverse harem masked demon novella, and I’m not giving you spoilers because you deserve to be hit by the emotional semi-truck just like I was. One minute I was fanning myself, the next I was yelling at the book ‘holy fudge!’ and then suddenly… tears. Actual. Tears.
It’s wild. It’s chaotic. It’s heartbreak and vengeance and healing all baked into 108 pages of pure Halloween madness. I laughed, I cried, I considered selling my soul to a masked demon.
The writing? Chef’s kiss.
The flow? Smooth like forbidden sin.
The ending? A delicious HEA that had me ugly smiling through the emotional wreckage.

Oh that was hot! Also this had really good plot too. A plague spread throughout Hess, Luda, and Reiners realm. They pleaded with the Shadowed One for a chance to save the dwindling species of their realm. They were chosen a human bride to ensure the lineage of each house and species to not be lost forever. On Halloween each species secured eleven wives and Evie being one of them. But the fact that all of them are dead! Did not expect that but I did think to myself how are these human girls taking these demon cocks! Like ouch 🤣 but I’m glad that Evie’s men helped her get revenge against the one who killed her. And that she’s pregnant with twinsss! Awe I love it!

Not what I expected but it was sweet. I had to check back and see if there was a prequel as with so many characters/relationships it felt like they were cameos. I lost track of who was who. I did like the three guys, but got distracted by wolves and dragons. The truth was surprising, making the little space they were in unique. I liked the revenge killing, that poor dress. I doubted Evie getting her secret past the three guys. One of them had to know. Wings, tails, tentacles and horns. A softish demony one.

This book was a 4/5 stars for me!! It had a plot AND spice which I was absolutely here for! I really loved both the FMC and all the MMCS. I binged this book in one sitting and couldn’t put it down, so addicting!! This booked checked so many things off my list for me.

If you are looking for a short book that is filled with smut (filled like the MC), multiple partners (MMMF), monsters scenes (and I do mean MONSTER scenes), a good plot, and a happy ending then this is the book for you. Please check the trigger warnings and make sure you have a new pair of batteries on deck ;)

I can't even begin to describe my love for this book! Everything that is just perfect about monsters, and smut, and Halloween. Definitely one I will read over and over again. The characters were all great and well written. Plus the actual story itself was interesting and the plot was absolutely everything.

If you’re reading this, Amanda…Jayden..Maddy…excuse my language but I can’t find any other words to describe what I just read.
Why is this a novella?? The story would’ve been so much more enjoyable if it wasn’t such a short story.
Let me go back and give you a little bit of the backstory. This girl, “Evie”, is saved by a man who ends up bringing her to a party to meet friends in the middle of the woods. First red flag—she follows this guy into the middle of the woods where there is no life around and just believes it’ll all be okay. Oh it’s okay girl, you’re drunk as hell and you’re looking for a weird stroll in the woods with some random in a mask. This wouldn’t be so creepy nor weird if it weren’t a novella. It would’ve been nice to see some character development before she ends up in an orgy with three monsters she just met. When I say monsters, I mean the tentacles, and the claws, and the spider arms, etc. Everyone at the party ended up in a monster fck fest and I mean that literally and regarding the amount of people partaking in the ritual. I just couldn’t get behind the fact that i’m imagining monsters doing the things that they were doing when I didn’t know them. I also just can’t imagine liking the look of the monsters period. It would’ve been a lot more mysterious if this book was almost entirely in Evie’s perspective anyways.
Besides that nightmare, the story was a good one with a very intriguing plot twist. If you’re into smutty/fantasy/demonic like-novellas, then this one is a good one. If this were a trilogy, or even just a longer book, I would’ve enjoyed it a lot more. This? Absolutely not.

The detail for the monsters was amazing, I could picture them perfectly with the descriptions the author gave.
The spice was 10/10!

The skin splitting reminded me of the men in black scene when the sugar water drinking alien puts the skin on and has to adjust it on his face lol.
Nothing over the top great about this book but it wasn’t terrible. Very vivid imagery, like wtf am I reading.
The look on my face the whole time would have been hilarious to see.
I feel like if this had been longer and less cringey at times, it might have actually been something great. Mix in more depth to the characters and more time for the plot to play out because the premise of the Halloween ritual with the girls was a cool idea.

I think monster romance just isn't for me 😅. I was impressed by the amount of backstory that the author was able to fit into such a short book. The first chapter or two were a little confusing but it created a sense of mystery and all my questions were answered by the end of the book. There is a lot of smut in this book and it's well-written, but I had a hard time picturing it as someone who usually reads contemporary romances with humans only.

idk if it’s because i read this one last, but i think this one is my favorite. it has so many things that i love, mmmf, voyeurism, halloween, masks, wings, long tongues, IT HAS IT ALL. if i recommend one short story from this ‘darkly depraved monsters’, it would be this one! i feel like this short story is for all the people obsessed with halloween, because the fmc talks about how instead of being scared of a masked man following her on halloween, she is intrigued.. it brings her excitement. and i know many of y’all would feel the same way 😂
this one takes an unexpected turn, i didn’t read the synopsis for it, so it was another one that surprised me and was so different from my predictions! loved it.
