This was a trio of three stories. These are all clean romance reads for the holiday.
Clueless at Christmas the best of the three (in my opinion) Christmas Surprise The Yuletide Thief
A well written, sweet trio of sweet holiday stories where Christmas miracles come to life! I am definitely going to re-read this during the holiday season. These stories are very different from her cozy mysteries & I thoroughly enjoyed.
I'll start with saying this is a very quick read. It's three wholesome and clean Christmas short stories. If that is your thing, this is definitely the read for you. With that being said, the first story was rough for me, as it certainly requires another editing read through by the publisher and/or author. There were quite a few errors that took away my focus, on top of the extremely confusing timeline. One character talks about the course of 4 days, but the other character's perspective does not match the days nor the details. The second story was entertaining, but I felt the author realized it was going past "short story" and quickly ended it. I felt it was abrupt, which was a bit of a bummer. I was enjoying the interactions and dialogue between the two main characters. The third story was interesting and in a historical setting. I predicted the rest of the storyline and ending pretty quickly, but it was still a decent short story. If stories #2 and #3 were developed into novellas, I'd perhaps be interested in reading them and seeing the stories lengthened and developed.
I received a free copy of this book via Beaches and Trails Publishing and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I loved the short stories in the wonderful book by Daisy Landish. Each story had wonderful characters that drew me in. I enjoyed many books by Landish and this one did not disappoint. I love the way she used the many facets of Christmas to set up each book and draw the reader in. I am hard pressed to pick a favorite as they each have a winning story and characters. The first story "Clueless at Christmas" is the story of what treasures can be found when least expected. "Christmas Surprise" is a tale of second chances and why they should not be taken lightly. The final story "The Yuletide Thief" is set in the Victorian age and has a Robin Hood twist. I love clean wholesome stories and these were great.
Absolutely awesome Cosy holiday romance collection . Sublime writing , great subject matter for all three books that shout out warm Christmas hugs of a storyteller. Characters are endearing and the descriptions make for an immersive experience. A veritable page-turner of a book collection. Just in time for Christmas too. It’s no surprise how much I rate Daisy Landish as an author and to get her magic in a Christmas Collection is double dipping pleasure , I was certain would be excellent before I opened the cover . I read an advance copy of this book boxset and my reviews are voluntary in my own words
Mistletoe Magic: Clean Holiday Romance Collection, my fourteenth enjoyable read from author Daisy Landish, a trio of heartwarming holiday tales. Very different than her cozy mysteries I've read. Clueless at Christmas the best of the three. Christmas Surprise. The Yuletide Thief. “I received a free Kindle copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. I look forward to reading more from this author, next up on my TBR kist Arrested on Boxing Day (Jane and Kennedy Daniels Mysteries Book 2). (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018.
A well written, sweet trio of sweet holiday stories where Christmas miracles come to grace some deserving people's hearts. "Clueless at Christmas" is a sweet twist of fate for a man who finds a mystery at his door.
"Christmas Surprise" is a tale of second chances, of returning home, and discovering what is most important in life.
In "The Yuletide Thief" we read of how the quiet vicar's daughter outsmarts a charming rogue to create a happy Christmas for orphans. Truly recommend. I was sent an ARC by the author - through StoryOrigin - but this review reflects my honest opinion.
These three holiday novellas gave me hours of reading enjoyment. A winter rescue, a "shotgun" wedding, a Victorian Robin Hood - the settings are completely different providing a variety of storylines. i received a free copy but my review is honest and voluntary.
I enjoyed reading this book. You will find three enjoyable holiday themed stories within the pages. But, you can read this anytime of year and it will still be an enjoyable read. I am glad that I took the time to read this story. I will definitely be looking for more books by this author.
The stories are super cheesy and for me they’re a little too cutesy and unrealistic. The writing seems pretty juvenile and the characters are underdeveloped. I didn’t necessarily hate it, but it wasn’t my favorite by any means.
I really loved these three holiday stories. They were full of the Christmas spirit and really got me into the mood of Christmas. Loved them. Everyone should read these stories.
